There used to be a chocolate bar, made by Nestles, which I remember buying from vending machines on tailway stations. It was in three layers, plain, white and milk.

Can anybody remember what it was called?

It wasn't " Bar Six " was it , it had an orange wrapper i think ?

Sharron

Sharron Report 29 May 2011 23:09

No,Bar Six had a sort of praline filling i wafer.

I think the name of this one had some connection to mountains.

I remember the bars Sharron but unfortunately not the name.

I don't think it was a Bar Six because that was a wafer bar with cream in it.

Did Tiffin have nuts or raisins ?

Sharron

Sharron Report 29 May 2011 23:32

Tiffin had both. It was advertized on Radio Luxembourg.

There was some sort of television advert that was like a square dancing tune.

I didn;t grow up obsessed with chocolate.

Well I can remember eating it but really not sure about that name

Sharron

Sharron Report 29 May 2011 23:44

Something tells me it was renamed or something. I only associate it with railway stations and cinemas. A blue wrapper comes to mind too.

Sorry,I misread the Tiffin question. I think it was raisins it had but there were biscuits as well.

In Oz we used to call it Triple Deck or something like that. It had dark chocolate on t he bottom, milk in the middle and white chocolate on top. Being a reformed chocoholic I can not recall if we still have them. Next time I go shopping I will put a peg on my nose and run very quickly through the confectionery aisle and take a look for you.

See my mouth is watering!! It's all your fault.

Sharron

Sharron Report 30 May 2011 10:17

I remember there being white chocolate in the middle.

KathleenBell

KathleenBell Report 30 May 2011 11:04

Have you looked at the advert on YouTube Sharron? The Triple Bar DOES have the white chocolate in the middle. In fact it says dark chocolate on the bottom, milk chocolate on the top and milky bar in the middle.

I'm sure that's the bar that I remember.
