I did say "the ( more or less) demise of the IRA" Chris, there will always be those who cannot / will not accept the peace there. |

Apparently according to DNA the body disposed of was his. |

Well all I would say that everyone was very happy when Hitler died. As for IRA in any disguise Rose, they never go away , lie low for a while and then return with a vengence. History books prove it and since so-called peace came - there have still been bombs and killings - news that never makes it to the National News. |

Or perhaps it wasn't BL at all - but I'm very cynical which I'm allowed to be at the extremity of old age! |

Dermot, it is Islamic tradition and practice to bury a body within 24 hours I believe.....at sea to prevent the grave becoming any sort of rallying point, or shrine i would assume |

Strange that his body was buried at sea. Why the undue haste? |

There are still men of his Ilk out there and they will no doubt be planning some sort of retaliation even as we type on here.So its best we do not relax our security meybe even enhance it.But as was said, if everyone stayed at home and never travelled,They,ve won.Take care all.**M**. |

I feel nothing wrt Bin Laden's death but I too find the celebrations distasteful. His death will not make a difference, someone else will step up and take his place and carry on with what he has/had planned. |

At the risk of getting shot at...I think back to when the IRA were causing mayhem in NI and UK, ( my Irish roots are pretty strong so I was always 'aware' of both sides) , |

I DON'T feel compassion, Joanne. I'm getting tired of saying that. I'm not saying it again - I give up. |
