I too have a swimming 'phobia'. In the final year of junior school, we had a new teacher who was mad keen that all his class should be able to swim. There were about 4 of us who couldn't - by the end of the year I was the only one and boy was I made to feel I'd let the side down! That put me off, plus an incident where I was shouted at (by no less than the swimming tutor assinged to our class) to stop being pathetic and get in the deep end. I had armbands on but was terrified as was out of my depth. He wouldn't get away with that today! |

Oh yes, I think most of us have a fear of dementia, which is strange because I am sure if you have it you wouldn't know! Maybe in the developing stage though. I think I fear more seeing my OH developing it. |
