So, visitors gone home.
Brought us Rhubarb from the garden. I love rhubarb.
We will have it hot, with cold yoghurt.
Come on then folks, or are you all cooking tea?

Keith, thanks for the info.... and anyway, I ONLY judge the heat by how it affects me anyway!;-0)
Nice and breezy today.
Having visitors... in-laws , so I can't play today, maybe later.
And Carole... as long as you don't blame it on me!! ha ha ha
Although ... you don't frighten me BC.... x

They reckon it is going to be a very hot summer over here, an article in the paper the other day said they expected it to reach 80C in the desert in Saudi Arabia, thankfully not that hot here.

Tenerife Sun Report 2 Jul 2010 12:46

29 degrees with a nice breeze here in the north of Tenerife, too hot for housework now. Well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Deanna, the heat index is what it actually feels like, the temperatures I quoted are shade temperatures, in the sun it is hotter!

O.M.G... when I get daft , I excel. don't I? ;-0)

It has been lovely today Jane, Nice and warm with a light breeze... no 29 as promised by one of the weather men/women. Thank goodness.

Oh Jean.... a downpour..... I cannot wait. How lovely will that be.

Okay Keith.......explain yourself.
You know bloomin well you are talking to an eedjit! ;-0)
??(34 but with a heat index of 49) due to the 67% humidity )we have at the moment.??

Well folks, had a short day today... VIRGIN cable went weird all afternoon, so I read my book.
Needed the rest and relaxation anyway.

Okay Jane, we have to give it to him... Keith is suffering worse than we are.

See you in the morning, after the cooling rain storm... oh that sounds so good to me.
Good night all.

Well, I am here rather belatedly. Agree that we dont have many posting these days. We are promised a downpour later, I do hope so as everything is so dry. Our poor cats have only stirred themselves to do the necessary trip to the litter tray for days, and not eating much. They have the water cooled fan on most of the time, but it is a noisy thing.

Jane Report 1 Jul 2010 17:34

I don't think I will be going to visit Keith lol.I went to Dubai in March and it was 37 degrees.
A nice breeze today Deanna but still flipping hot isn't it.I don't think got to 29 though.

KeithInFujairah

KeithInFujairah Report 1 Jul 2010 15:22

29C that is nice and cool to me lol. Yesterday it hit 48C and was still 41 at midnight! And yes I do feel like I am melting!! Pesky a/c at work keeps breaking down so very uncomfortable to work in, especially when it is cooler (34 but with a heat index of 49) due to the 67% humidity we have at the moment.

Well thaks girls, nice to see you.... BUT I was in bed by then!
So bored I went to bed with my current book....
"HOLY FOOLS" by Joanne Harris.
I am enjoying it too. A little different from her others.

Jude, you are quite right, time does fly by these days. The older I get, the shorter my week.
Weeks are judged from Thursday to Thursday, which is when OH does the weekly shop with son.... then the weekend, and then it is Monday and a new week!!
I am quite sure days were longer in my youth.

Jane, the dogs are having a hard time of it just now. Today is V..hot but there is a breeze which makes all the difference, doesn't it?

Liz, I am not gonna sit around waiting for your call.... I could die waiting!! AND... she calls herself 'my pal'?? ;-0)

Julie you are right , it does become depressing when you sit here all alone... unloved... unhappy.... bored, are any of you feeling bad yet? ;-0)
No, I didn't think so.

Ann, I can always depend on you to say hello, thanks for that. x

Hi Helen how are you?x

BC... get out of that bath, you will get wrinkly, but you will spell inviting.x

Ah well, I am off to try and sort out a few e-mails, then get back to my book.
Have a great day everyone.

Hi Deanna,

It's been even worse on here at nights, no one around to have a laugh with anymore!

It was warm here in Norwich yesterday and was the first day of the Royal Norfolk show, so perfect weather for it. One of these years I will get to visit it again, haven't been since I was young, but it's £16+ now so a bit expensive. Today is the second day and seems it will be even hotter, poor animals there will be uncomfy I bet and the flowers will all be wilting.

Can't believe we are halfway through the year already, hasn't the time flown by, seems no time since we were all complaining about the snow!
Now we are moaning about the heat lol

Deanna, will give you a call soon, honest!

love
Lizx

I just hope everyone is looking after their pets properly in this heat.

Jane, in 1976, the heat was so bad that the poor dogs in our area were too exhausted to bark.
That is not a joke, it is the truth.
Poor souls just lay there until evening and the dark. Bless them.
