Susan, thinking about it it probably would help a bit in a conservatory

What a clever old man Hazel. I dont imagine it would have done his lawnmore motor much good though.

If my grass gets too tall for my ancient BnD lawnmower, I use a hedge trimmer, as an electric scythe

Bob, what a shame you didn't patent it yourself, lol..... but I rather like your hedge strimmer idea. I have two grown men in the house and yet there is always a good excuse for leaving the grass grow to jungle proportions. The latest *good excuse* is that two of our cats love to play in it.!

Aw Hazel, I love that story... that was a brilliant idea.

Susan, it is a parasol, not a brolly *rolls eyes and tuts* Actually, I was eyeing up those cute little pushchair parasols, they clip on, but there is nowhere on my pc chair for them to clip on to. But this parasol works really well.

Hayley, I tried a big one, but putting it up meant I had to clear tables of all my stuff first and it all became very tedious. So it is now sitting in the garden. But because it is new, it makes the old garden furniture look really sorry for itself. I might have to go and get new table and chairs. Well, new table at least.

Wmsl @ Emma. It's probably waiting patiently for you to retrieve it from a safe place, lol ;¬))

Mummo, I am sure you must have had lots, but cos you are so modest you don't realise how clever they were ;¬))

Marion, you wouldn't think it was very posh if you saw it, lolol... ;¬))

Do you ever read those £10 Handy Tips in magazines..( £15 with photo ) and think...

"I've been doing that for years, I just thought it was commonsense" ?

Daff,
Having moved house many times, and trying to limit packing belongings, you get very good at multi-pupose items too.
I think your parasol is a great idea.
....That's an extra £1000 plus for use for certs !!

Wmsl @ Gwyn... or plants for the garden...... or *must have* craft items or even my kitchen finished, lolol ;¬))

We do get very good at improvisation, don't we?
