It may be serious, you know.

http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/diseases/facts/colds.htm

More people die of common colds in Vanuatua than they do in Inner Galapagos, a very well known fact.

But I remember a case in Lesotho back in the 60's when a common cold was later diagnosed as Ebola.

http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvrd/spb/mnpages/dispages/ebola.htm

Now that is nasty, but not as nasty as Bubonic plague.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bubonic_plague

Bubonic plague is the best known manifestation of the plague, caused by the Gram-negative bacterium Yersinia pestis (formerly known as Pasteurella pestis). It belongs to the family Enterobacteriaceae. The term bubonic plague is derived from the Greek word bubo, meaning "swollen gland". Swollen lymph nodes (buboes) especially occur in the armpit and groin in persons suffering from bubonic plague. Bubonic plague was often used synonymously for plague, but it does in fact refer specifically to an infection that enters through the skin and travels through the lymphatics, as is often seen in flea-borne infections. The bubonic plague kills about two out of three of infected patients in 2–6 days without treatment and may have been the cause of the Black Death that swept through Europe in the 14th century killing more than 25 million people, a third of the European population.

Of course, the main carrier of bubonic plague is the rat, which travelled on ships and brought the disease to Europe.....zzzzzzzzzzzz.

I know, I know, I saw it, lolol.... very, erm, colourful it is too.

I have been a- gallivanting and a-spending of Lord Hunter Gatherer's hard earned dosh..... and very nice it was too.

I left a poor lady traumatised, because she had to sit and listen to me waffle for one whole hour.... and then I went to play in a nice little craft shop... and then I went to see my parents.

And now I am home, and should be cooking tea......

*passes some lemsip and menthol crystals to La Diva*

Be careful with the crystals, cos they will make the snot drip..... not a very good look, but will make you feel better later.

Love
