Good luck Mel.
I failed my GCE maths miserably and took a GCSE about 15 years ago - in my late 30's - and passed (just)!
I felt so good about myself, I applied for uni - mainly for a laugh - with 4 GCE's and a GCSE - and was very surprised when I was accepted! It was fantastic! Ended up (bearing in mind I was also coping with 2 teenage girls) with a 2:2 aged 43!

Good luck Mel.

That reminds me about Lynda's night school thread, I must ask her what her decision eventually was.
