Hi Mel

I failed my GCE maths the first time I sat in the summer exams, they were graded 1 to 6 then. I resat in the Nov and passed with a 2. My sister got a 1 first time ! I'm the duffer of the 2 of us.lol

Do your best , if you've been revising you can do no more than that:)
( I didn't revise for the summer exams..too lazy ! )
Good luck and best wishes

She is lovely, Mel.
One summer a cat decided come in the open window and join us - those who didn't like cats were asked to ignore it, pass it on to someone who liked cats, or leave!! It's darned difficult taking notes with a huge ginger tom 'paddling' on your lap!!
Mind you - I don't know how she fed her children - she had no idea how to cook!! She was brought up in india with cooks, Aya's etc., hence she taught Hinduism.

Good luck Mel,

I failed my GCE, but re-took 6months later, I doubt I would have had the courage to retake any later than that.

So well done for your courage and as said GOOD LUCK

Good luck Mel - go for it. And don't stop when you have it. I went back and did mine 10 years ago, I then carried on with higher education and now have a 2.1 degree in History. It is never too late

I only did religious studies to win the occasional argument with my (now late) Brother in Law - he was a very lapsed Catholic.!
I'm not at all religious, even arranged to do voluntary work whilst at school to avoid RE, PE and games!!!
My dad was a convert to Islam and taught it in Saudi Arabia, so I avoided that - and Budhism!
The tutor in Hinduism was Colin Firth's lovely mum - Shirley!

Hi Mel,
Well done on your NVQ3 in teaching assisting!!
I did a degree in Religious Studies and Education (they were seperate - not linked), and I know that the NVQ for Teaching assistants has some of the elements I did in my Education studies - does that entice you towards a degree?
The glory of teenagers is that they can spend an awful lot of time in their bedrooms contemplating their navels - and leave mum alone!!
Mine were 16 and 13 when I started my degree and the elder was hell on earth (she would agree) when I finished - it had nothig to do with my doing a degree - if anythng I had more time to be with her.
Youngest went on to take a degree as - in her words to me 'Don't mean to be disrespectful, but If you can do it, it can't be THAT difficult!!'

...it was a bit more difficult than she thought - but she thoroughly enjoyed it too!
