Hello everyone, just quickly popping in. Sunny here today and 24, but rain on the way.

Two days of intense pain and then a trip to Sydney yesterday. Seems to come on a monthly basis now. I could have an operation to block the nerves around the pancreas, but it's quite an ordeal and I don't have much energy to cope with recovery. Would only fix one problem or relieve it somewhat. Still that might be down the track.

Jane sorry to read about your eye and Mel has had that before too. I have one in my eye that has been there since last year. I am used to it now; it is a cyst, but at first it was scratchy and uncomfortable. Try leave it alone, there's a good girl.

I haven't read all your posts, but I will try to catch up tomorrow.

Best wishes to all those not feeling too good, hope your weather is improving.

Morning All and Evening Kim,

Brilliant sunshine here today and the washing is blowing nicely on the line and second lot nearly ready to go out.

Fiona that is wonderfull news for your daughter hope things go well for her now. Good news on the MIL front too.

Nice to see Flowers popping in.

Jane hope the eye is more comfortable today and soon heals up. Poor family flooded out a second time but I think they said on the news last night that the water had gone down a bit.

Was thinking of our Shirl yesterday as I had to take mum to have those injections in the eyeball and it is not nice at all. She said they put a cloth right over your face and then something to hold your eye open and you have to look a certain way and keep your eye very still. She always had a red white to the eye the next day. Makes you look like something out of a horror movie!! Then you have to have drops in the eye a couple of times a day. You also have to have other tests before the jab. They take pictures through your eye after putting drops in to open the pupils and I used to be able to see the pics on their computer. You could see where the bleed was and in later ones you could see where the jab had cleared the blood away making your sight a bit better.

Have to go to the solicitors this afternoon about a new lease on the property I own in Redbridge Essex.

Have to also do some ironing as oh has not got an ironed shirt for tonights ringing.

Frank your outfits sound really good and of course will shall want to see photos of you two wearing them.

Pat hope your cold gets better soon and don't work too hard.

May be back later if I get time.

Afternoon All, morning Shirl and evening Kim, hope everyone is well.

Good news for your daughter Fiona, that will certainly boost her confidence.

How awful for Janice, I saw pictures of peoples homes in the last floods completely destroys everything, she can't have long got back to normal from the last lot, would be really difficult to sell the house as well, that's one of the questions they ask isn't it.

Fingers crossed there will be no more rain for a while but it is quite cold here, surely it should be warmer than this for early May.

That cold is lingering on Pat, you're probably right, should have had some antibiotics. Ever since my daughter's been working on the geriatric ward she has had cold after cold and at least three chest infections, I suppose you get hardened to it eventually but by then her rotation will be up and she'll be somewhere else.

Hope the weather improves this weekend, would like to get out in the garden, have done a lot of Fuschia cuttings which are growing really well, maybe it is a bit too early to put outside.

I watched that Roman programme too Jane, it was interesting, think that's the last one.

Hi all, I'll try again.!!!. I have just been down the garden to put out more Meal Worms, and it's turning colder. No rain here today YET :-D :-D :-D Looks very cloudy

Was awake and up by 5.30 this morning. Just couldn't sleep. Felt tired all day.

Put Beans and Peas in the "ALLOTMENT" this morning (my patch down the garden) A few extra beans in pots, in case I need them.

Ros has been down the chapel doing the Patchwork for the big curtains. Got home about 5.00 pm.

Shirl, I'm not dressing up, just putting on RED WHITE AND BLUE for the Jubilee party on the 5th June , and I might put bunting around a straw hat and round my trousers. It all depends how I feel. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Hows the Eye now Jane and Shirl, improving I hope.

Good luck to your daughter Fiona, these things come to those who wait.

Kim. I do hope your health starts to improve, you certainly seem to be having a rough time of it.

Nice to see you back Flowers, are you getting my e-mails ???

Ros is in charge of tea/dinner tonight, so I can take it easy.

See you later

Annx Report 2 May 2012 17:36

Afternoon All,

Nice to hear from you again Flowers and you must all be relieved your BIL is home and doing well. I suppose the recovery will take quite a long time after somehing like that.

Frank I haven't heard of any Jubilee parties near here.........you and Ros will look great in your outfits! Is Ros doing red, white and blue necklaces?? :-D :-D I don't think OH would dare wear white trousers though.

Glad you mentioned about your Hostas Mandy! I noticed one in a pot had been 'nibbled' the other day and I had forgoten about it. I bet all this wet weather has woken the army of slugs and snails........we could do with the hedgehogs that used to come. I would find it hard not to buy lots of little outfits for the baby. I always walk through those aisles and look at them....so cute!!! :-D

Pat you must be fed up of not feeling 100%. Do you think it may be hay fever? I remember waiting for guppies to get their colours as they grew up. Touch wood, everything seems to be thriving now.

OH said the carpark at Coventry hospital yesterday was horrendous!! William was so right when he said it was very bad. MIL's treatment was very quick which was good, but FIL stayed at home with his bad back. MIL said they would go to the docs this morning, but OH said with him not able to drive and being age 91 to ask for a home visit instead which she did. The doc came out and said she thought the problem was muscular and gave him strong painkillers. With sitting a lot his system had become suggish too so she gave him something to sort that as well.

We went out for a carvery at our favourite place earlier, but it had been closed for today as they have a big funeral. They had put a temporary gazebo up in the car park for smokers. As we drove away, OH said it must be an important funeral for them to close to anyone else. He wondered if it might be the funeral of the girl who collapsed and died at the London Marathon. The place she lived at was only a few miles away.

I hope we don't get too much more rain for Jane's niece's sake. I would have to move house if it was me, it would be too much of a worry every time there was heavy rain. There was a lovely pic in the paper of a load of swans swimming on what was a walkway in Worcester.

Jane Report 2 May 2012 17:52

Shirl do you have to have more of these injections?Hopefully it will help you.It does sound horrible though :-S.Hannah had a cyst on her top eyelid some years ago when she was still at school and had to have it removed. It was done at the Eye Clinic .She was in with all the elderly folk having their Cataracts done. When I went in to her afterwards she was sat there and they all had one eye covered lolShe then decided to to an impressive faint in her chair. Two nurses dashed in picked her up in the chair and whisked her into a side room and there she had to stay with the foot of the bed raised for the next hour.I know when I did my stint in A&E I made sure I never got the patients with 'Eyes'.

Kim you have had a grueling few days again haven't you, with all that pain and then the long trip to Sydney and back.

Mmmm! James is cooking Gammon Steak and Mushrooms for himself.I don't half smell good .He is off tomorrow until Monday to see Jess .Taking my car :-( :-(.He doesn't trust his car now for long journeys). Then I need to sort out Insurance for Hannah to drive Chris's car while she is here for the BH weekend.I don't know, there is always something lol
I was actually looking up hire cars and there are some really good deals over this coming weekend.I rang one place and all cars had gone!!!.The chap said he had had to turn a lot of people away today. :-0
I must ring Janice now and see of the water has got any higher at her daughter's house.

Evening all
surprisingly it's turned out a nice evening here, sunny with just a slight wind got all the sheets dry and some jumpers to,

The friend who I had coffee with on Tuesday and I mentioned before that her father had been taken into hospital, has text me to say that her dad has pneumonia in both lungs, that doesn't sound good. :-0 :-(
I can only say I will be thinking of her in my thoughts and prayers.

Must feed the fish in OH tanks before I forget, OH just phoned to say he had JUST arrived in Madrid, he must be tired, he left home at 9.00 this morning, what a long day, the worst part of travelling is the sitting around in airports, :-|

Oh, I wish I could Shirl!! lol. When OH saw what I'd found on Mandy he said 'why can't you find things like that in our family?' :-S

David, whatever has made you so tense? That is probably why you had the tremor.

Mandy, I will take a peek at that site......these webcams are marvellous. :-D
I can see if the bird I saw in the field a few weeks back looks like them. It hasn't been around for a few weeks. Fancy them nesting in the cathedral.....I thought only bats and pigeons went in there.

Off to bed now, must say I sleep better when it is cooler.
