Quite sunny here but not so warm when it goes in, at least it's not raining.
Busy making these drapes for the village hall today.
Hope that pain has eased a bit Kim.

Hi Everyone, Just to let you all know that we are both fine and raring to go on the house front!! It's certainly been a marathon and not something I would do again BUT it looks stunning (photos to follow) and is within an ace of being finished. We wanted one or two extra bits and bobs which meant ordering more timber and that held things up, but this week the electrics should be finished and the plumbing up and running. The insulation is made from glass bottles!! There is a firm is Germany who manufactures it, and boy is it thick, so should be nice a cosy for next winter. Weather has been AWFUL the last few days, but sunshine and showers today which has made things a bit easier. Poor old Millie is getting very fed up with caravan living, the lack of space is getting her down and she spends a lot of time in her bed to keep out of the way!! Merlin is the only one who isn't affected, and I get the feeling that he has air of triumph around him!! an 'I'm alright Jack' sort of look!!

Afternoon everyone , Have had an awful time on here trying to post gave up this morning , but hopefully this will get through now, Looks like a lot of people have had problems today trying to get on here :-|
I went to see the dr this morning , he perscribed a mild seditive for me to take which will hopefully get my sleeping pattern back to normal. I can choose which night I take it incase it doesn't wear of the next morning and I am unable to function through the day, also with some medication i get certain side effects so I want OH to be at home incase this happens, so I might just leave it till Friday night when OH is home and I have nothing important happening over the weekend. keeping fingers crossed it helps.

Sunday Roast on a Monday Frank?.I still never understand having cauliflower cheese with a roast :-S. Well I have been sat with a cold teabag on my eye this afternoon.I held it on with 2 fingers ,and when I looked at my fingers they were stained.Boy I got a fright ,I thought I might look like a Panda .But I'm ok ,I think the stain has just merged nicely with my freckles and age spots lol
What a lovely sunny day.I got a load of washing dry ,but did dash out to get the last lot in as there were some very black looking clouds at one point. But they came to nothing. I don't think there is a cloud in the sky at the moment :-D

Hi I am so sorry Kim is in pain I hate it when I see she is ill. We had terrible flooding all over the week end certain roads were flooded and water came through the ceiling into the shop. We had a big bang in the living room and a big piece of brick fell down and dented our log affect gas fire so hubby was up the chimney putting mesh up there until the chimney man can come here. I think the chimneys seen better days. The house will fall down one day .
Certain roads were blocked off due to the drains not being cleared. Well I had a nasty fall but managed to save myself. Of course it had to be down some slopey things they had put down to help the aged get down the kerbs . Horrible looking things did not match the road and stand out like a sore thumb but no I did not see them walking with my brolly bending over my head in the wind trying to stop the wind blowing into my face and doggie desperate for a wee and you know what. I stepped down out of habit in my usual place there road along the side of the park and of course it was sloped and fell on my hands and knees and let go of Jasper who jumped on me and barked . I managed to get up and walk over the road very wet and with muddy hands and saying a few choice words.
Mel Jessica goes tomorrow she was only here for a few days she wanted to sort things out in Wales but of course it was too wet so she did not go and I think needed to unload a few things. I knows what its like to work for a lady like she worked for it happened to me with a indian lady I worked for she made me take certains down and wash them you go to do light house work and end up doing everything for the same pay very crafty.
I thought I did say Mat was being looked after by Ryan he is home while Jess is away he had some jobs he wanted to do. I do sometimes remove my threads if the grammer is bad. I will leave this one lol
My hubby and I had a laugh on Sat evening .Feeling very sorry for a elderly man called Harry just had his wife die we invited him round to play cards and for a drink. Just to cheer him up. He came we played Gin Rummie the only game he knew and he spotted our really antique radio a little wooden one arch shaped at the top with the knobs and decoration on the front. Oh he said you must play that. Hubby said we only have one tape that plays on that. He said Harry put it on cheer me up I go mad missing my wife. My ho put it on and it was playing Ruby Murrey singing some really sad songs I was nearly falling asleep . Well this dear old soul starts crying a lot at Softly Softly and I said to my ho turn it off and put something more cheerful on. Meanwhile it was lashing down with rain and he was saying the weathers depressed me. I cannot get out etc. Moan after moan about the weather. Hubby said sit down I will get you another drink and turn this tape over. I nearly died because the first tune on the other side was called The Day That The Rain Came Down something about mother earth so on . Our ex friend said thats it your taking the mick and got his coat on and went. I am afraid I collasped with laughter. Laughed so much I had to rush to the loo my poor hubby just kept saying what did I do. When I pointed out it was the song and what the guy had said about the weather we both laughed in fact lay awake for ages tittering like two school kids. I do not think we will see him again so much for our kind hearts. i think the tape was a really old thing we got years ago. one of those assorted melodies of different stars.
I was thinking yesterday of when I was seventeen my first Christmas without my dad after he died and I came in from work .The house was cold and so sad no fire lit no christmas tree and the larder which was normally filled with christmas food was empty. Mum had left a note saying she had gone to try and get a job so she did not feel so sad. I had just got paid Six pound s for a weeks office work on a switchboard. so I went out bought some christmas food not a birds because my uncle always got that. I came home lit the fire cleared all up and put some decorations up and it cheered me up.I was so glad I did that because mum came in staggering with all her shopping and a christmas tree only a tiny one .I went to bed that night and dreamed about my dad and in my dream I saw him and he was saying to me good girl you are really grown up now I am proud of you. I like to think that was him my dad talking to me. it made me do a lot more for people and not think of myself all the while. I did not get a lot that christmas but just a nice fuzzy warm feeling inside.
I sometimes wonder if it applies when we help some people though.

Sheila ,I'm sure your Dad would have been very proud of you ,tying to cheer up the home for Xmas. I had to have a chuckle at the poor man you invited in to cheer up lol. Maybe just not quite the right music to play ;-) ;-)
My eye is very painful and I now have 2 white things popped up on the lower lid.Look like whiteheads.OH is going to give me a prescription for an antibiotic cream tomorrow.I think that blooming teabag has drawn things out(probably a good thing) but looks horrible. Chris is cutting the lawn at the moment .Doing it like Speedy Gonzales before we get any rain.He is zipping up and down like a Yo Yo.Not sure if the stripes will be straight :-S Dinner eventually will be Lamb Steaks ,New Potatoes and a mix of whatever veg I can rustle up.

Morning All
Slept better last night and thats without the pills, I think it was because BIL phoned about 8.pm to say MIL was more cheerfull at visiting time as the drips had been taken out and her hand was not so swollen, the urinary infection has gone and the doctorssaid they could give her medication to take at home for the sickness, but everyone is still concerned that she is not eating or drinking enough, when she is well the kettle is never off , drinks pints of tea. but she said the tea in the hospital also like the food was awful, so she would not eat it. Hopefully if she is able to go home , she will pick up her appietite(?).
Well I better get ready , meeting friends from the nursery where I worked, havent seen them since January, we just never get the time to get everyone together. Hope we all have a good day BBL

One day FINE the next RAIN. FOUR flood warnings in Northampton. Billing aquadrome (a massive caravan park) has been evacuated. Some owners were told to leave or be THROWN OUT.
LilyL welcome back. Is that what you want to be refered too.???? So glad everything is coming along for you and Ian.
Hope you all received the e-mails this morning. How do these people get these photo's ???
Have been trying to bleed the kitchen radiator, without any luck. When it was made, there is so much paint around the bleed screw, that I can't open it, will have to get someone with a blow torch to heat it up, and get it undone.
Ros has gone to her quilting place this morning, no idea when she will be back.
Jane, Do you have milk and sugar with your tea bag :-D :-D :-D :-D???? I don't know why you think it's not right to have cheese sauce with Cauiflower., you should try it, it's very nice, I ofter cook the Cauli. put it in a dish and pour the cheese sauce over it and brown it off in the grill/oven. If every you go to a carvery, you will find Cauli in a cheese sauce, ome on GIVE IT A TRY> !!!!

Afternoon All,
Heavy showers here too, yet it was gorgeous yesterday and I went out with my camera in the afternoon to one of the reserviors......looked pretty full to me as well!!!
Yes Frank, how do they get such lovely pics.....fantastic! One of our carveries always does the cauli in cheese sauce too. I love it, but pick bits without much sauce.....sits on the hips too easily.
Nice to see you back LilyL and great that your new place is nearly ready to move into!! I feel excited for you and I bet you have a great time setting it all out. It sounds like Millie will be happier with room to run about too. I must apologise, but your new name (not the character!!!) has reminded me of 'Lilo Lil' !!! Remember her in Bread. lol. Did we ever actually see her??
I hope your eye is soon better Jane, it is not something you can ignore easily when it keeps bothering you. I have two little yellowy spots at the root of my eyelashes in one eye and they itch like mad at times, but the doc said they were little harmless cysts. The pics of Tewkesbury I have seen this morning look pretty bad. It must be a worry every time there is heavy rain there. The river half a mile from here has flooded the park and a few fields and some local roads have been closed.
I wonder how Pat got on with her Zumba class. It is so fast I'm not sure I could get all my bits moving in the right directions at once!! The mind boggles!
OH was at a meeting in Northampton this morning, then he is going straight to MIL's to take her to Coventry Hospital for her first bladder coating to be done. It will be interesting to see whether FIL's back is better enough to go.Then he's off to a match tonight.
Better get on with my beads now, had to undo a bracelet as I got the thread wrapped around the fastener, then I made it too long so it would hang on the wrist like a cowbell. :-S Third time lucky I hope.
