Fiona good that you had a better sleep even if you did have to get up a couple of times.

The sun is out and the rain has stopped!! :-D I bet it won't last though. I have been making another one of the spiral rope necklaces while OH catches up on his paperwork, but if I sit for long the old back starts giving me gyp! This one is a nice coral and cream colour to go with a few of my tops.

Your garden is looking very colourful Frank. I always have trouble with tulips, something seems to get to the bulbs.

The builders made a start in the field the other day and dug quite a big area. about 3 feet deep. Strangely, it is all filled in again now and they have gone again?

Pat, I wish I could lose some weight! Maybe I should get a 'Mocha' like you to take for walks. It must be nice buying smaller clothes too!

Mel Janice has one of those BP machines.Not sure how often she uses it though :-S :-S.I must ask her.No doubt she will say she is taking her BP,but I'm not sure how much I will believe her lol.She is a bit naughty with that.

Not going out today was good as I have actually got a fair bit done.
One job that I hadn't planned to do was clear and sort the cupboards under the kitchen sink.My Goodness you should have seen the stuff that I chucked out.!!!!!!!.It now looks nice and clean and in order now.I wonder how long it will stay like that??...Not long!

Oh dear Chris is not home yet.His day off went down the pan after getting called in due to shortage of Doctors.I wonder what kind of mood he will be in when he does get in? :-S :-S :-S.He really needed today off as there is a lot of 'stuff ' going on at work.I think I might have to tread carefully this evening :-S

Fitz has his hospital appointment on Monday .He will find out then if the Cancer has gone anywhere else.I will take him ,and then thankfully his OH will be able to go to the meeting with him.I will then pick him up afterwards.I will be on tenderhooks not knowing the outcome.

Anyone watching Lost Families tonight?....No doubt I will be sat with a few tissues at hand lol.

David, Even though I was bought up in an area, where there wasn't a great deal of Countryside. I did manage to go out to the Country fields and set Rabbit snares, and go back the next morning to collect the bounty. I loved Fishing from being a small child, and fished until my stroke in 2004. My Dad taught me to wring a Chickens neck, and to pluck and draw it. I haven't done it for many years though.

I have run out of BEER, so will settle for a can of Coke, and watch a bit of tele.

Sunny here at the minuet but there are clouds in the sky. Not as cld as yesterday though.

I can't beleive it is Friday again!! Where did that week go??????

I no sooner seem to have done the shopping than it is time to go again.

Oh is going to lay the base of the garage extention today if t he weather holds. I have seen him getting planks ready to mold the base in. The new cement mixer is in place right in the middle so he has'nt got to use a barrow just tip it out on the floor. Garage did look funny with no side wall and one of the bantams still tried to stay in there last night roosting on his lathe!!

Famous last words it is now pouring with rain!! :-| :-| :-|

Sunny here right at this moment ,but I don't think it will last either Mel :-S.Your OH is always making and building things .He obviously enjoys himself.It must be really satisfying when he sees the completed job.

Well we had a rotten night .Chris was awake for most of the night .He got up just before 3am and came downstairs then came back up sometime after 4.Tossed and turned again and then up at 5.30 when the alarm went off.
I hope he is patient with his patients today lol

I think I'll get some towels in the machine and then get a coffee and think about making a shopping list.

Bright and sunny here at the moment ,but the black clouds are now looming , have hung my boil wash out ,i seem to get through no end of tea towels when the family come for tea !! and i use the dish washer too, i think its because i use them for getting things out of the oven and it was Shepherd's pie last night and the gravy had gone over the side of the dish !!

Like you Mel i carn't believe its Friday again,

I hate it when your awake most of the night , i wonder why we have nights like that when other nights you sleep like a top !!

Just waiting for my floors to dry ,then i must tackle the dreaded ironing !!

Morning all,

First sunny day since Monday and got some washing done, but not dry. The lid on my machine is breaking away at the hinge. Will need attention and not quite 5 years old. Don't make them like they used to.

Not much happening here. Daughter has been staying at the boyfriend's and she comes home tonight. Son is on the way out soon to the local club.

I want them to invent something to knock me out for 12 hours. Haven't had a decent sleep in years.

I watched the 2 hour episode of "Titantic", not very impressed but will watch the rest next week.

Daughter is home and wants to talk, so I'd better go and do the motherly thing.

Hope your day is going well. Thoughts are with Fitz and Janice too Jane. Hope the outcomes will be positive.

Sorry about the treatment your OH has received Ann. Just not good enough and causing a a lengthy hold up for the referral. The modern world we live in!!!

Morning to all my webbed feet friends.

Started off with beautiful sunshine, now thundering down with rain. (APRIL SHOWERS) !!!!

I spoke with my SIL last night. The sevice for my brother went very well, will the church so full people had to stand around the walls, over 200 people, then at the crematorium there were over 100. She lain on a running buffet at the cricket club, at the bottom of Highfield Road, where we lived. Again over a 100 people. He was certainly loved by many people. She mentioned that the vicar had heard from me, andf said a prayer for him.

Ros has popped to Tesc# to get some of those scissors, not that we haven't got enough. about a dozen pairs in various drawers, plus three pairs of Wallpaper scissors in the shed/garage !!!!

Mel, I agree where does the days/weeks go. This time last week I was sitting in the sun at Hastings. Now you can't get out of the house because of rain. But oh how we need it.

Had a nice dinner of Liver and onions last night. There was enough mash over for to go with my eggs and bacon this morning. I won't want any lunch today. Got to think of what to have for tonight.
