I see we have a new name on the thread. Regina Welcome. Trust you will stay with us MEAT EATERS.
Have read most of the posts, Glad Fitz is going on well Jane also your sister.
Mel, When are you going to take things a little easier. all the aches and pains are trying to tell you something,
Jane/Mel, Did you get my reply from Genes that I sent.????
I'vs only just notices I have two big grazes across my forehead from when I was putting in the plants this afternoon. NO SENSE NO FEELING. Caught myself on the sawn of branches.
Going to relax with a couple of beers, Can't be bothered to go to watch football tonight.
See you all tomorrow

Regina, I don't eat a lot of meat, my Sunday lunch is meatfree and what I do eat is mostly of the bird and fish variety. I have spent whole days at an abbattoir in the course of my job. No, it wasn't pleasant and I would prefer animals didn't have to travel there alive, but I accept the alternative would be harder still to police. Mind you, over 40% of a cow carcass is used for products other than meat. Just a few are gelatin used in ice cream and yoghurt, glues, cosmetics, jet engine lubricant, chewing gum, soap, paint, marshmallows, crayons, candles, bone china, fabric softener, shampoo, shaving cream, toothpaste, textiles, pet food, floor wax, plastics, rubber, brake fluid, fertilizers and medicines,(eg insulin and thyroxine)
Even if I ate none it would be double standards for me to complain about those who do as it would be impossible for me to exclude all the above items from my life, thyroxine in particular.

Frank .Got the email (from GR).When I went to the London meet and met the two ladies from GR ,they explained the problems they are having just as they did in the message to you.So I think they were being absolutey truthful in their reply to you.Looks like we just have to be patient until they can get things sorted.I am fine with that as long as they keep us updated with any troubles.
Ann ,Fitz wanted me to go and see Titanic (3D) but I am all Titanic'd out.everything you see or read or hear about at the moment is Titanic. So I said no to that film............It is Hugo on Wednesday :-D
Mandy ,has OH been in contact with something that may have caused his rashes?
Silent Witness just beginning now so I'm off.
NO SENSE NO FEELING .Frank,I often find a scrape or a bruise and have no idea where they came from :-S

I have overdone it today, and just can't settle to watch T.V.
I have sent an e-mail to the vicar of St Paul's Church, where the service will be held for my brother. I have asked him to say a prayer for him on my behalf.
Jane I agree "TITANIC" is getting a bit much. I get to the point that I can't read anymore about it. Yes, we know it was a dissaster., but there seems to be more relatives coming out of the woodwork, than for any other dissaster. I am sorry but it will never compare with the loss of lives during the 1st and 2nd world wars. and all the other conficts since.
Ann, I didn't know all those products came from our cows. As well as lovely beef joints, dripping etc.
Going to have another beer, then to bed for a read. and I hope a good night sleep.

Morning everyone,
Raining here and cold, going down to town to change some socks and a cardigan I bought for Sofia yesterday, picked up the wrong size the hanger said 2-3 years but the label said 18-24months. careless of me, after all I am always careful when I buy my own clothes. :-S :-|
Hey does anyone know if it is normal to feel tired and depressed ( weepy at the slightest thing)even 6 months after my gallbladder op? I can't seem to drop of to sleep easy, no enthusiasm to go out especially on an evening always panicing to get home before 10 as if I am late going to bed I am still awake at midnight. :-| :-| :-S :-S

Morning All It's WET WET WET :-D....Not enough though :-S.Not a very pleasant walk this morning. I watch watching the raindrops running down the window from my bed earlier thinking I would rather stay there than tramp about getting soaked with Chester. Actually I can see some blue sky now so I don't know how the weather is going to pan out.
I need a coffee now so BBL

Morning All,
Evening Kim,
we have sunshine at the moment but I think it rained in the night a bit.
Went shopping yesterday afternoon quite late so was late back too. Oh was starving when I got in so had to do the dinner quick and satisfy him.
Frank I am so pleased you had a really good few days away and now feel refreshed. The sea breezes must have blown a few cobwebs away. I am so glad you enjoyed yourselves.
Oh isout putting the new cement mixer together. He said he could always sell it after he has used it for what he wnats. We used to borrow one from a friend across the road over the crossway but he is building some new stables inside his BIG barn.
We have to go too far to hire one here and he has a few jobs to use it with. He has'nt got the bit on the back of the garage yet and that needs a good base down to take the mowers and digger in the winter.
Good to Sheila posting and I do hope your poor leg will be better soon. It will be nice to see Jess for your birthday Sheila and please give her my love and wishes when she comes over. April sounds as though she is really fitting in now.
I came home to a great big hole in the lawn yesterday. I asked if it was a swimming pool for me but oh said it was only big enough for me as he could nearly reach the lenght of it with one stroke if he was swimming. If I fell in it I could'nt get out. He told me it was only 3' deep but it looks much deeper to me.
Fiona have a chat with your doc about how you are feeling. Maybe it is just that you can't do as much as you used to like most of us on here now.

Went out in the garden to take a pic of the hole while the sun was shining and as I looked to the west the sky was dark grey. Came in quick as it fell out the sky cats and dogs and then turned to hail. Sun is out again now. Proper April weather.......

Oh Fiona, sorry you are feeling down in the dumps.I have put the old thinking cap on.Over the last few years ,you were coping with your Dad and his Dementia ,then the arrival of Sofia, then the death of your Dad.All this time you were unwell with your gallbladder .The concussion after your bang on the head, and recently the construction of your new porch with all the upheaval that caused. You have had an awful lot to contend with.It sounds like you possibly have mild depression, and I'm sure a visit to your Dr is a good idea. I don't think that you have been away for any breaks either. Maybe a few days away somewhere ,just you and your OH would do you good. <3 <3

Morning/Afternoon.
So much for my early night !!!! I was in bed by 10.15. Felt too tired to read. so settled down. I was still awake at 2.30 am Got out to the loo. I had the trots throughtout the rest of the night. I gave up and got up at 5.45. Took a couple of imodium, and hsve taken three since. I feel like I have been trampled by a elephant.
Ros went off at 9.30 to learn this patchwork thingy with two others, will be home sometime this afteernoon.
I have been dozing in the armchair all morning, terrible indigeston and not feeling too good Not going to eat today.
What a change in the weather, rain and strong winds. It blew over a new water tank last night. Ros said it rolled up and down the drive.. I will have to move it !!!! If she hasen't already done so.
Fiuona, I find at times I don't want to be bothered with anything, not wanting to go out, or have anybody in the house. I am on anti depression tablets, so they may help you. Please take care.
see you later

Thanks everyone for your adivice,
My goodness Jane you know my life problems well lol :-0 Yes there has been a lot going on, and when I think back it's no wonder I am feeling tired, I also think with worrying about OH job just before & over Christmas, thats been a strain too and with all the traveling he has been doing this year, I am feeling a little lost, My girls are always there, but I do worry about them , Daughter no 1 always tired with Sofia and now another baby on the way,
Daughter no 2 stressed out because she cannot get a full time job and the part time job she does at the moment in the clothes shop is so stressing, there is so many staff there calling in sick, she and the manager are the only ones working today , and they keep cutting back her normal hours , then the next week she's called in and having to work every one elses , she so tired. (we never stop worry about them :-)
Well I think I better stop moaning and get some lunch, Will think about a visit to the doctors, not really over keen though I seem to have never been away from the surgery this last few months

Hello everyone,
Just quickly to Fiona, I'm not sure how old you are and would seem to be probably our youngest member. I'm wondering if you might be perimenopausal and the hormones are acting up and affecting your sleep and getting you down as well. Just a thought, but I know you have been through your op. and hubby is away a lot - quite a lot in there to make you feel this way. Maybe time to see what the hormones are doing as well. Thinking of you. <3 Yes we constantly worry about our children and that can bring your health down too.

Thank you Mandy & Jane for missing me. I do get in to read the threads but the cold that I had on top of everything else has really knocked me for six. I went to see my GP on Monday and he said the antibiotics he gave me, although neccesary for my 'problem' could have a nasty effect. He also prescribed them for ten days instead of seven which has taken me longer to get back to being myself.
I need to get my head back together to contribute to the threads otherwise I'm going to either bore you all to death - or someone will be sending for the men in white coats.
However, I do agree with Frank, Titanic, although a terrible disaster, seemed to have gone into overkill. Now it's out in 3D, heaven help us. They'll be members of the audience in the cinemas throwing themselves overboard from the balconies, but I doubt the 'flicks' have balconies these day! Give 'em a life jacket on the way in I say. . . .
Try and write more soon.
Take care each and everyone of you ..... (I nealy put kisses then !!!!!!)
