I bet that was a bit of a shock for your DIL's father Mandy. At least it will all be done before he has chance to think much about it. Edit......just saw your later post.......might not be an op after all then.

That is quite a walk for Fitz at this stage I would think. I seem to remember that lane being quite long and up and down in places. I bet he was really glad to have a sit down and a drink at your place Jane.

I forgot to say before when OH finally got his ganglion diagnosed, the doctor said to the training doctor that HE would stick a needle in it and that is what he did. As OH got up to go, the doctor said to the training doctor, 'don't forget to put that down as a Minor Op'. Really, just sticking a needle in??

I think I said that at the time, he asked about a scan he had been waiting to hear about and they looked at his notes and said it had been refused and that the doctor who had requested it was back from holiday the next day and would be contacting him in the next few days. After a week, he still hadn't heard, so asked at the surgery when he dropped a prescription in. The receptionist said the doctor wasn't in that day, so it would be best to ring for a 'telephone appointment' the next morning. So he rang the next morning and was told that that particular doctor didn't have telephone appointments and that there was nothing in his notes about the scan being refused!!!!! He called in the next day to collect his prescription and a different person looked at his notes and confirmed the scan had been refused. He explained what had happened and that he'd been told 2 weeks ago that he would be contacted, so this person said she would ask the doctor to ring him. 2 days later......and he's still heard nothing!

Did anyone read about that poor little 4 year old Hamster that died and they buried him 2 feet deep in the garden. The next day the neighbour found him in her garden!! He had dug his way out and they found the hole he'd made getting out. Apparently they can go into a hibernation state and appear dead if they get too cold.........it must have been a shock, but they were pleased he was 'back'!! Poor little thing!!

Just saying hello to everyone. Been having so much trouble getting on here and trying to reach the last page and the Error Message comes up. As Shirl said so bl**dy fatigued.

Been thinking about Robin Gibb all day and saying a few prayers for him. Boy that family has been through so much.

Did a bit of weeding in the back lawn, but son had to pick me up, so no more of that for a while.

I will catch up over the next few days. Best wishes to everyone. 8.53 pm EST

Hi Kim.
I hadn't heard anything about Robin Gibb.Just had a google and see the poor man is in a coma.As you say the family has had a lot of Tragedies(excuse the Pun).Lets hope he is in no pain and that if he isn't going to survive this that he slips peacefully away.

Well the sun is still shining here.I nipped down to Fitz with a load of Paracetamol as typical of him didn't have any :-|.His OH has gone off with their son Ollies fiancee 's parents to have a look at the venue Ollie and Kelly have chosen for their wedding (next June)2013.

James is going to put a bet on for Chris and me on the G National.Loved the name of one horse.Shakallakaboomboom(or something like that lol)
I chose one called Junior,Chris picked ,On your own,and I don't know what James is choosing.I don't understand anything about betting at all .all these odds and evens .Too mathematical for me lol

Oh I see Jane has put it up.

Two horses died last year as well.

There was a horse from Devon running in that race but I can't think of it's name. It was on the news yesterday and he was a lovely light bay.

Evening all,

Its been a nice sunny day here but really chilly, we now have the heating on .
Hubby's been sanding down all the walls in the conservatory..... you should see the dust !!
Had to mop the floor over as the hover wasn't really picking up the fine dust .

DIL's father is still in hospital, the latest is that he needs a scan and the scanner that he needs to go in isn't working at the weekend !! so i suppose it will be Monday before he knows any thing now !!

Chinese for us tonight so no cooking !!

Hope Frank is enjoying his break away , will do them both good to have a rest .

i have been really ill with a terrible lump at the side of my leg and was in agony. I had to have antibotics it made me really nervy and felt so off.

I decided to watch the national racing and had a bet and my poor horse
Sycronise died apologise if I have spelt it wrong. I was asked by Beryl she was having a bet. Seing this beautiful horse running around at the start of the race after throwing its rider made me really sad and I cried buckets when I heard it had been shot and another horse. I do not normally
bet stopping after other horses were killed but Beryl kept on go on have a
bet her horse came third the lady rider on Seabass Never again and I wish it could be stopped.

Jedwood I am told is representing Ireland for the euro singing competition
there aunt was outside our shop telling me today it is a nice song a bit like last years. I love Engleberts song .

Jess is coming home for my birthday on APRIL 24TH for a week she had some money and decided to come home on her own April is staying with Sherman s family.

I had a really nasty letter from Mats family saying I should have discouraged Jessica taking the children to the States. They were not consulted. They were but did not bother to answer it.

Did i forgets Pats birthday so sorry if I did nothing personal would have sent a card. Well thats all for now will read the threads and come back later. Love to you all from Sheila. had no problem getting on here today.

Jane Report 14 Apr 2012 21:56

Hi Sheila.I do hope your poor leg heals (sounds nasty). That will be great for you to see Jessica.Take no notice of that letter from Matts family(not easy though I'm sure). It was Jess's choice to go .
As for the horse racing ,I will never bet again. :-S :-S.So upsetting to know that horses died (yet again).I just got into a discussion with James about it.Started to get a bit heated ,so I ended it pretty PDQ lol.I don't want to get into one of those debates ...not just before bed.No doubt I will have some kind of dream tonight involving horses :-S

Will say night night now .See you all in the morning.Sleep well :-D x

Evening All,

Still limping around with my dodgy back so I'm looking forward to putting another patch on tomorrow!! :-D You know what it is like when the pain makes you keep shifting about but no position is any better!! lol OH went to Worcester without me....boo hoo. :-(, but said he would take me another time!! :-D

Sorry to hear your leg has been bad Sheila and I hope with the antibiotics it is soon better. I bet you are looking forward to seeing Jess and hearing how things are going at her new home. The in laws don't seem to be thinking that you have a daughter to be missed as well as your grandchildren. Once children are grown up, they make their own decisions.

I wonder about the stress for those horses on planes too Jane. I didn't watch the GN, and rarely do. The horses are very well cared for, but I think there are just too many of them allowed in the race and when they bunch up they easily bring each other down. It would be better if they could stagger the start somehow too. I bet if it was the same number of jockeys being killed they would do something about it! :-S

Shirl, a good rest with a few zzzzzz can only be good!! lol

Better get me a hot water bottle to slap on my back in bed now!! :-D :-D

Night,night....xx
