The sports commentator Dickie Davis was sometimes a substitute commentator on the wrestling.
Wasn't the late Sir Jim'll Fix It once a wrestler?

Morning All and Evening Kim,
Woke to sunshine but we have just had a very heavy shower of rain.
Mandy the blue flower is Bugle. It was only put there to hide a patch of bare ground when I started the border. It has spread like mad and I keep digging chunks out as it's a bit invasive. I put them on the bank in the orchard.
Considering the pic of heggy was taken in complete blackness I did'nt think it was bad. It was the best of three I took. I just had to point the camera and hope for the best. We went up there with two wind up torches to try and find it. Oh had seen it cross our road and had to drive sown to the house and get me to find the torches and walk back up there. It was a wonder I spotted it at all. You can see how camaflarged he was.
Shopping today I think........groan...... :-| :-| :-| :-( :-( :-(

Morning Mel and All Mel I hadn't realised you took that pic in the dark. You did really well to get it :-D :-D Yes we had fantastic clear sunny sky earlier and the Moon was huge .It looked really strange in the blue sky.Now it seems to be getting cloudier and quite breezy. I am going to get a few jobs done and then nip to Tes** to get Fitz a couple of bits.He is not so good and is hoping to get an appointment to see his GP tomorrow. He continually feels nauseous .This was going on before the Cancer in the kidney was diagnosed and is still going on.So I think he is rather worried about it now. :-S :-S. An old family friend is coming to see him this afternoon (he is a retired surgeon) so I imagine Fitz will discuss it all with him.
Frank .I hope the person glassed is not too badly scarred .They usually go for the face.Good job you weren't in the middle of it all.I used to know someone who was glassed all down one side of his face.It was horrendous. He had to grow a beard to cover all the scar.
Right then I must get on .BBL

Morning all,
Jane, It's not something you expect in a village pub. These lads were in the other bar, and took their drinks outside into the garden, whatever for I don't know it was p-eeing with rain. When the barmaid went to collect the glass's one of them threw a glass at her. It missed and crashed against the door. They then left the area. She locked the back door, and called the police. By the time they arrived 3 cars 6 coppers. They bought this lad in, who had been glassed. He was with some friends walking down the villiage street, when these little "LOVELY BOYS" picked a fight, and one glassed him. I think they knew who they were and went round to arrest them. They will be in court this morning."SMACKED WRISTS" no doubt. Fortunatly, Lewis didn't see any of it.
Ros had to come and pick us up last night as we had the biggest downpour, and couldn't walk home. Started off bright and sunny, but now clouding over with a cold breeze.
Lewis is still in his PJs, but thinks he wants to go swimming later. I will take my book and had a read while he's in the pool. Then Ros can take me for a haircut. I might treat them to lunch out. That will save me cooking tonight.
Hope you all have a good day.

Afternoon All, :-D
How awful for the chap he glassed Frank. I hope they ban the lads that did it from the pub. It is time there were some real punishments for doing things like that and all the stabbings there are. Still I don't need to tell you that!!
I hope Fitz's medical friend can throw some light on why he still feels nauseous Jane. It is a horrid feeling and it would be worrying for him.
I have been like 2 busy bees this morning. :-D Cleaned all the fridge out and washed everything in there, chucked lots out. :-S Then did the same with the freezer. Cooked some sausage rolls that I found that were still in date (OH will like... :-D) Went in the bedroom and put the small, bottom of the bed quilt away. The headboard and wardrobes are built in and the top of the headboard forms a narrow shelf which hinges up and you can store things in there.....ideal for the quilt and spare pillows........trouble is you have to clear everything off the shelf first. Then a mammoth dusting of the bedroom, where does it all come from?
Then I decided to put a new bag in the hoover (OH does most hoovering now he's at home, but does he think to ever check the bag?? :-S Things didn't look good when the zip would hardly move on the outer bag.....got it open as dust and fluff spilled out on the nice clean floor. Managed to get the paper bag bag out and it brought a whole lot more muck with it!! The outer bag was all caked up inside with dirt dust and fluff, must have been throwing more dust about than was being sucked up!! :-0 :-0 I had to use the little D*son and nozzle then to hoover inside the bag to get it clean again. Of course, then the little hoover needed emptying too and then the mess on the floor needed cleaning up!!! Phew.......it was a good job he was out!! :-| :-| THEY don't realise how many extra jobs they make sometimes! :-|
Then I sewed a button on his shirt........of course it is usually the top one on the thick bit that is hard to push a needle through that comes off. :-S Doesn't help when you thread the needle with black cotton instead of white either!! lol I need a lie down now.

Morning all,
Mel loved the photo of the hedgehog. Are they friendly at all or is it best to leave them alone?
Frank I can't understand the behaviour of some of these kids and the girls are pretty bad over here too. Why can't they just have their drinks and go home or call a cab? It's a shocking crime - I hope they get some time inside for that. :-| :-| :-| :-| Our laws are pretty flimsy too.
Has been cold and overcast here today with some rain. Would not like to be with my son camping in a tent at the moment. Bet he's missing the home comforts tonight, lol. Not meant to improve for a few days yet.
Jane poor Fitz. I hope they can find out the source of the nausea, he's got enough to cope with at the moment. Is your tummy better today?
Must go to the couch now as I'm done in. Night from me. 10.55 pm EST

Just had a Indian Gentleman on the phone , he told me he was from the technical department and he could help me with my computer problem
I told him i don't have a computer and was just about to tell him where he could stick his technical Department ......when he hung up!! LOL

Hi from a stuffed Frank.
Decided to get my haircut this morning, Then we were going to take Lewis for a Chinese (eat as much as you like) When we got there it was closed. It looks like it has closed down. Sign of the times. So we took him swimming for a hour or so, then went onto a TOBY carvery. Beef, Pork, Gammon and Turkey, All the different veg. We had a good blow out. Lewis had a Chocolate fudge cake with Custard for afters. He couldn't eat it all. Little piggy. Got home about 4.pm.
Ros is all packed for Thursday. and has popped down to Carolyn's to take back a Church kneeler she has just finished. Lewis has gone with her so he can see John's trains and the massive fish he has in his pond.
She had two more packs of beads turn up today from China. Not expected till end of Month, so excellent service. considering they didn't charge for postage

Ann I had to laugh at your hoover antics.
I decided mine needed emptying the day before yesterday. The bags are so expensive for mine I usually pull all the dust and fluff out the little hole as this makes them last longer. It was'nt dog hair in mine but my hair coming out in great long strands with carpet fluff and box leaves. When I used it this morning it was going really well and sucking up everything in sight. I forgot I hoover much more than when we had the cleaner as she only hoovered once a week!!! Wood shaving and sawdust was the other culprits as oh brings it all in from his lathe on overalls and boots. I must admit I did'nt empty mine before I had hoovered though. I have leant that from past experiences...........say no more :-(
I have just washed all the canes I use in the tunnel. There are stacks of them. Have left them in the sun to dry whilst having a cuppa.
Suns out and washing blowing on the line. We had showers this morning.
