We have 2 platties that havegiven birth and now they seem tohave white lips..I dont know where they could of picked anything up..Water changes have been done like usual chemicals added now some antibiotic has been put in the water..I hopw we dont lose them and the others catch anything..We were so pleased we have baby fry..The guppies have been breeding as well..their first babies are now getting some colour..
We were looking at another tank yesterday then came home and spotted their lips..Oh dear...
We have Lamb today as well and shall have roasted potatoes..
I remember watching the wrestling and the football pools as well being checked.
I used to try and watch Top of the pops but my dad used to watch the othe.r side THen there was duke box jury...Just discussing this with other half.He said they used to have special quests whose hits sometimes were voted a miss.

I think that was David Jacobs and Juke Box Jury Pat.I loved it.TOTPs.I used to dance behind the settee when that was on in the early days.Too embarrassed to dance in front of Mum and Dad.

I do hope your fish are going to be alright .I take it the White lips are not a good sign :-S :-S

Ann Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks too!!!!!!!!!Eee! they were big men weren't they.
I'm just watching a little vole /shrew having a whale of a time running in and out of the rockery :-D :-D :-D.I think it is picking up the bit's of fat dropped from the bird's coconut shell.
Now tipping it down. :-S

Had a little rain here a while ago ,just enough to wet the ground .

Cooked the turkey breast ,then i didn't really want it !! only had a few mouth fulls and its not because i've had an easter egg !!! LOL

Ann, looking forward to seeing how the Felt Necklace turns out ,sounds interesting :-)

Pat, you don't seem to be having much luck with your fish, i don't know much about them ,son has a small tank with fish in and they are very relaxing to watch .

I liked TOTP's with Pans People !!

Annx Report 8 Apr 2012 20:19

Sending you a pic Mandy.....it turned out better than I expected!

I only ever heard my dad use the 'b' words, but mum would tell him off for that, especially when my little brother aged 2-3 had picked them up and was shouting them over the front gate at passers by!! :-0 :-0

Michelle Report 8 Apr 2012 20:35

Lol if I had copied my great gran I would have had my mouth washed out with soap by my mother. My brother swore once and clenched his jaw so my mom rubbed the soap on his teeth....when he had a drink of water to take the taste away he ended up blowing bubbles every time he spoke!

MillymollyAmanda

MillymollyAmanda Report 8 Apr 2012 21:06

I don't ever remember hearing my dad swear ,well not in front of me .

When you think of some of the words you hear now ,a bar of soap wouldn't go very far LOL
Michelle i can just picture the bubbles LOL :-D

We have just seen one of our hedgehogs in the garden.

Oh saw it when he camein from ringing. It walked across our road in front of his car so he got me to go up the border and we found it!! Took a couple of pics but hav'nt downloaded them yet.

Michelle Report 8 Apr 2012 21:26

I remember the old one pound notes, if you had one of those in the 70's as a child you thought you were rich lol, a pound doesn't go far nowadays though

Michelle, if my dad let out the f word in our house, which didn't happen often and he would be tanked for sure, my mum got out the frypan (not the electric one) and hit him on the shoulder with it. I was only little, but the boys didn't swear and I only remember the occasional sh*t or bl^^dy. Mum did threaten to rinse out mouths with the Solv^l many times, but it never happened, LOL. As Mandy said, demand outstrips supply these days. ;-)

Morning Kim..How are you today..It is very wet here again today..

I may have to go down to my youngest sons tomorrow night for a few days to look after the girls while they take Jack to Grt Ormond Street for some genetic tests..I think their baby sitter has let them down..If so my husband will take me half way there to the Dartford crossing and then my son will meet me. Have to go down to Icel*nds soon to pick some simple meals up for hubby to cook when he gets in from work..
Mocha is going with me to my sons.I wonder who my husband will miss most lol..
I will not be able to work in the charity shop this week then so need to let them know later..

Mandy...We would hate to lose some fish at this stage now...What with the babies arriving lol.
My dad didnt like to hear swearing either,,but when we were teens the odd word came out from us kids when we were having a row lol..I think at the time we thought we were big..
I had a maltizer egg hubby one with little eggs inside..I was looking forward to one of the crispy eggs but he ate them all.. :-|
I have a lovely headache this morning that is why I am on here early..Could it be because of the wine I had last night ??? ;-)
I did two loads of washing last night before bed this has been drying on airer overnight..Must get caught up if I am away..We are down there the next weekend as well to celebrate what would of been Marcus birthday..It is a 2 hour drive there but these things happen..
I will be back later.
MIchelle..What part of the woods are you from?..Im from Bedfordshire..We are quite scattered on here..

Patricia

Patricia Report 9 Apr 2012 08:53

Michelle..I still have 3 crisp £1 notes somewhere for my children.. My dad gave them to them years ago.

MEgirl

MEgirl Report 9 Apr 2012 09:06

Morning Pat, You are on here early. I couldn't say if your aching head is the result of the wine, lol ;-) Get some water into you!!! I hope all goes well with little Jack and the testing.

It has been sunny here, but a little cooler. The night air has that crispness now, down to 9 degrees last night.

Yes Michelle, I'm from the Central Coast of NSW in Aus. where do you hail from?

Sleepy heads are still snoring I expect so will BBL to see how your Sunday went.

Mel hope that shoulder is a bit easier - don't overdo things today.
