Mandy ,I hate it when Chris gets up so early.It catches up with him ,and then it is Mr.Grumpy :-S :-S.I just want shot of him then as a normal conversation is out of the question and can quite easily turn into an argument lol.I don't like to argue.It's too exhausting and a waste of time.
Not sure about this dinner.It hasn't caramelized as it said it should.But I'm sure it will taste ok.Potato Wedges nearly ready .I feel a bit hungry now.

I bet Chelsea will look a cracker in her 'Diarra ' ;-).I remember feeling so proud of my two when they had to get dressed up for something at school.The only thing I didn't like was having to work out what the heck they were going to wear and then make the costumes :-S.Not my best talent.

DIL cheats a bit , she buys the dressing up clothes when they are in the sales , this princess dress is reversible .

Looks like i need another mouse , this one keeps freezing !! i'm no good just using the keyboard ,i prefer the mouse .

I forget I have a mouse and use my fingers and thumbs all the time.No wonder I have aches and pains in my hands :-S :-S :-S.The mouse is sat right next to me too :-| :-|.I must make more effort to use it.

Our new arbour to go on the patio arrived today and has filled the very last bit of space in the garage until we can get it assembled and put outside. We seem to have a list of jobs to do as long as your arm.

Sounds like you will be lumberjacking again this year with that tree Frank. It is a good idea to hang things on the trunk and make a feature of it.

Happy Birthday to your Bess Kim. How awful your car was broken into. These days it seems that whatever you have is there for the taking for some people. I'm glad they caught him though and that you son wasn't hurt. Your weather sounds awful lately.

While I sat at the dining table this afternoon sorting some paperwork and my bead boxes, OH had a break from doing his notes and went out to fetch the washing in. All of a sudden I noticed something moving in the corner of my eye!! It was him, prancing past the window with a pair of red pants of mine held aloft in bullfighter fashion and with a gleeful, cheeky grin on his face!!! :-D :-D Honestly......you don't know what I have to put up with, but it's infectious and you can't help but laugh!!!!! lol I just hope none of the neighbours were watching!!!

Hope you all had anice day..It was nice and warm here today..Did a bit more gardening..T ook Mocha for a walk around the block..He walks faster than me lol.

Got all the washing dry which was good,,,Wasent going to do much today but you still find things to do..

Hope you're all well today, It's looking as though we a going to have another lovely day here today.
Frank : Just read about you taking a break in Yorkshire Moors- Pickering & Goathland ( Heartbeat Country ) are well worth a visit. We often take the kids & dog there, they love it & it's not too far from us for a day trip then we make our way to Robin Hoods Bay, it's a beautiful place, well worth a visit, hope you get something sorted.
I've been trying to get something booked on the web for the 1st week in June, for 10 of us in a large house in Scotland but I think i've left it a bit late as all the good places are all booked up, it's the school holidays that week. I will keep on looking until I find something

Flowers...I have spent time in Yorkshire on abreak..And have visited Goathland (heart beat village ) on the train from Pickering..Robin Hood Bay I remember visiting as well and walking down a very steep hill to get there..At the time there was a man paiting his house right at the bottom and holding on very carefully lol..

OH was up early this morning and off to get some brackets to hang my wall units in the porch . what a lark trying to measure up where on the wall they were going,
remember I am not even 5' so I was up and down the kitchen steps to see how high I could reach. finely it was decided that I will be able to reach the bottom shelf standing on the floor but will need my steps to reach the top shelf.
thats better than my kitchen units , I need steps to reach the bottom shelf on those, (the last owners put them up. it's still the old kitchen units we have.)

Dull here and quite chilly.

Frank did you enjoy your fry up? I've just had some toast and Marmite and got a wash on the go.it will be nice to get it out on the line.

Flowers I have had the same problem in the past ,being too late to book a decent cottage .One year I was really keen on going to Northumberland ,but just couldn't find anything that I fancied (that was left).So we ended up going to Dorset.But we got to Northumberland last year after booking early and had a smashing place.Have already booked up again for September :-D

Morning and glad everyone seems to feel a bit better today. Hope Kim does too.

My roses I had for my birthday are still ok and still on the kitchen table. They are the best I have ever had. They will probably all drop on the same day the same time!! The leaves are looking a bit weathered and some of those have fallen off but that could be me when I top up the water and rearrange them a bit.

Frank you just watch it in the garden today, we don't want you feeling bad again.

I am back out in the garden today. I cleared all the old stems off the clemetis by the steps down into the garden yesterday and weeded the two little beds each side and then the bantams came along and dug all the freshly dug soil out :-| :-| :-|

They have been in it again this morning so I may have to cut some holly and lay it on the ground to see if that keeps them off.

Not bad here today but it could be a bit sunnier. The sun is there but it is a bit weak today.

Afternoon everyone,

The sun keeps trying to shine , its quite warm though outside.
The little ones called this morning on their way to school so i could see their dressing up clothes , Chelsea was a Princess and Jake was Robin Hood ,i took a couple of photo's will send them later .

We loved the Yorkshire moors ,we rented a cottage near Pickering it was several years ago now, i remember we went on the steam train and opened the window because it was so hot and we got covered in smuts from the smoke coming in the window !!
What i can remember of Robin Hoods bay was that it was very steep ,alright going down but boy the way back up was a trek!!

Mind what your up to in the garden Frank , don't go and over do it ,we don't want you poorly again .

Pat i'd love to see the photo's of little Mocha please , i bet he's grown.

Daughter turned up yesterday morning out of the blue, had only just finished my breakfast but being up so early with Harry it was more like mid day for her. Spent a nice day with her and Harry, he really is very forward for his age.

That book sounds interesting Frank, the only books I would never read are Mills & Boons dribble. I think that blue tree you mentioned might be a Ceanothus (sp) I had one that died but my daughters is massive.

That's the one thing I miss now the kids are all grown up, the fancy dress, we used to spend hours making costumes, son went to school as Burgler Bill once, complete with a swag bag. Ealing Broadway used to have an Easter Bonnet Competition, we made this daffodil head for son to wear, he won 2nd prize £100 which they promptly spent in the toy shop, must dig the photos out.

Glad to see you are over your 24 hour bug Jane and hope everyone else is managing to fight off all these germs.

Best place to be Shirl. with all that snow, if I lived there, don't think I'd come out of the house until Spring.
