Thanks Jane.

Lovely cake William. I bet Carmel will be really pleased with that. Hope she is feeling a bit better now.

Ann the flower was good but it is not the kind of thing I would use either.

Evening all,

I really don't know where the day has gone , we seem to have been on the go all day, went to Homeb*se to get some match pots of emulsion , they didn't have the colours we wanted so we're off to Norwich tomorrow to see if we can get them there ,hubby has got to pick up a wood burner for a customer .

Can some one send me the photo of Williams cake please , i don't seem to have it.
Ann, the zip flower is a clever idea , not sure where you could use it though .

Chinese for us tonight ,sister and BIL will bring it with them when they come later .
BIL has been to see the doctor about his knee , he has to have some fluid drained off next week ,then they will know how bad the infection is in his knee, once they know he will the go in to have the knee taken out and a thing called a filler put in ,which will slowly seep out an antibiotic into the leg, once the antibiotic has done it's job he then has to go a month without any antibiotics ,they will then see if the infection has gone ,if it has then he will have the joint put back in , and all this will take several weeks.

Sending Kim my love <3 hope your still at home and have not had to take a trip to hospital .

I have tried sending it on Shirl, but sometimes I have trouble sending things to a couple of people as well........we'll see what happens!! I would HATE that ride......wondered what you sat in as judging by the toes you can see there wasn't much protection.!! :-0 You HAVE had a lot of snow haven't you!! It's been so mild here again today as well. Well that's a new tip for keeping the cats out I haven't heard and can try!! I have some of that oil too I think in the garage.....repels mosquitos?

That doesn't sound very pleasant for your BIL Mandy, but necessary to get rid of all the infection. Sounds like it will be a long recovery too like Janice' s knee. I'm just thankful mine still hold me up and get me about, even if they can't do stairs very well!!!

See what Jane has started.........our en suite toilet has come out in sympathy and is bunged up now!!! :-( :-0 What's more........the plunger thing has split, so we'll have to get a new one tomorrow. :-S

Sending you cake photos Mandy!

Jane

Jane Report 25 Feb 2012 20:29

Mandy ,I don't think I will tell Janice about your BIL Knee trouble. That would really put the wind up her :-S :-S.It sounds nasty and terribly painful :-S

Mel that Quiche sounds really tasty. All ingredients I love.,and pudding ..yum yum :-D

Shirl ,got the email from Ann.Wow! I don't think I would fancy doing that. Some people just have no fear.
A foot of snow!!!!!!!.I hope you have your shovel handy lol

This is for Pat(who I know watches Doctors).I had a dream last night about Heston and Marina!Sheesh what a flipping dream.it was bonkers :-S :-S.But so real!!..Sad or What ? lol

Great cake William , thanks for sending it to me.

Well thats the first lot of banging and drilling done , going to get copper pipes tomorrow, so OH can install sink.
Cupboards etc came at 2.00 this afternoon but we now realise that 4 cupboards are going to be to much on the walls as they are bigger depth wise than we thought, so we are keeping the corner wall units and taking the other 2 back.
still love my counter top so thats staying .

Been a cold and damp day, I couldn't get warm & ended up going to bed with a hot water bottle for an hour this afternoon, think it is probably because OH was working outside putting up the outside coach lamp and had the door open.

It's that time again on Saturday evening. "TAKE ME OUT" can't stand him.

Ros has been talking about a few days break to the Yorkshire moors. Has anyone been ?? and what are your opinion of the accomadation. Was thinking of B & B or a cottage, where we can come and go as we like.

Had an indian Takeaway tonight. I had to phone and complain about the meal. The chicken was dry, the lamb tough. and no NAN bread. They said they will make good with next order. Dissapointing really as I was hungry, and the food is normally SPOT ON.

Poor old Shirl, Snow everywhere, and no one to throw snowballs at. !!!

Ann, That's what Ros will have to do. get around the charity shops. She has had Sky on this afternoon watching Jewellery making and all the different beads. MORE EXPENCE I suppose. She seems very interested.,so it will be good for her. She's also talking of getting a stall at the "Blisworth Festival" and selling what she makes. As DEL BOY said "Tomorrow we will be millionaires"

The lawn looks good after it's first cut. I hope to do the edges tomorrow and give the front lawn it's first trim. Then I will need to freshen up the earth around the boarders.

Sitting, enjoying a pint while i'm on here. First since last Wednesday week. What a good boy I have been ;-) ;-) ;-)

Will look at my e-mails now to see what goodies I have got.

Annx

Annx Report 25 Feb 2012 21:26

Yes, I've picked up a lot of cheap bead things at Charity shops Frank, even the more expensive gem stones. It is worth keeping the bits of chain off things too for charm bracelets or pendant tassles. She will soon get wise!!! Best to practise on the cheaper beads first as well.

OH said the other day that he would like to make or do something personal for me. I suggested he could write me a nice letter as he is good with the pen!! He thought about it for a moment, then turned to me with a grin and twinkle in his eye and said that he was more a 'Dear Sir or Madam' kind of writer in latter years!!! lol I just burst out laughing and said I didn't want him issuing me with a 'Demand' (for payment like at work!!) :-D :-D lol

Yes, I like the sound of your tea too Mel. I haven't had any asparagus for ages.

Mel Fairy Godmother, I did see your post on flatley driers, your description
was exactly as I Imagined it to be. I'm so glad th ings have moved on, don't know how I would go on without my tumble drier, it's on every day in the winter with the kids clothes.

Morning All,

It is bright and sunny today and my windows need a clean!!

Had an email from Kim:-

Hi Mel, Didn't go to hospital, too scared of the local one. Damage each time I have these attacks. Think I will have to see a specialist - off to the doctor in Sydney next week. That was the bank house we lived in when Keith was manager. Had my health then and lots of walks with my dog. It is a very pretty town. Cheers Kim xx

Oh just gone ringing and I think I shall now go in the shower.

Hope all those of you that have been under the weather are a bit better today if you have this sunshine it makes you feel good anyway.

Shirl a FOOT of snow, do keep warm. Thanks for the email. Ann sent it on to me. Hairy or what. Don't think I could do anything like that!! Did'nt it go on for a long time too.

Well away to my windows before the urge leaves me.......
