Just popping in before I'm off to bed!
FRANK I have sent you an EM about jewellery.
I must say that the slatted seat email you sent was hilarious!!! :-D :-D OH came in to see what I was laughing at and we were both so much in hysterics my eyes started streaming!!! BRILLIANT!!! I shall think of that email and be grinning whenever I see a man sitting on one of those chairs now. lol Watch out when you are in your shorts........especially if they are short!! lol
Sheila, how clever you are doing that poem! Beryl ought to love it!! :-D
Flowers.......'A Double Diamond works wonders, works wonders, works wonders, a Double Diamond works wonders so drink one today!' I wonder who wrote that ditty? :-S
Don't ask about the ZIP FLOWER!! We all went silent this morning while we wrestled not very successfully with our zips and a needle and thread!! lol The teacher kept reassuring us we could get the middle in shape by putting a bead there.......told her I needed something the size of a bumble bee to hide mine!! Anyway, it wasn't the middle so much as the flipping petals that wouldn't come right. I don't think any of us thought we would be wearing them so I haven't attached mine to anything. Will send a pic tomorrow. We also did some pendant necklaces using washers or polo mint shaped beads that we wirewrapped and attached beads to. I used a big pink bead I had ........much more successful!! :-D Will send a pic tomorrow when I have finished it off. lol
The Hedgehog rescue lady who comes was saying they are costing her a fortune in food as a lot are awake with the mild weather instead of being fast asleep. She said she has over 30 of them some years.
This afternoon we went to see 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' at the cinema. It was really good and funny, Maggie Smith was superb as usual as was Judi Dench and Bill Nighy.
William, I would love to see a picture of the cake please. You set me thinking with all those old names. Mum and dad had a Peto Scott Radio when I was a youngster and then dad had it in his workshop when I was in my 20s. I have found a picture of it, exactly the same here:
http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/petoscott_h52_h_52.html
Fiona, it is a good your OH was keeping an eye open. Does sound like they were up to no good. Thank goodness nothing happened.

Morning All,
Hope Kim is feeling better today. <3 <3 <3
Dull as usual. Was misty sort of rain last night. Really damp.
Flowers Flatly Drier, I think I had one of those when I first got married, in my flat. We had no airing cupboard and nan bought it for me along with my cooker washing machine (twin tub) and fridge. If it what I am thinking about it was a tall metal box on wheels and it had wooden rails inside which you could either have at the top for drying clothes of about half way down to air them after ironing. I used it for nappies mostly. During the time when it was not in use the kettle sat on top of it next to the draining board. It was run by electric which was right at the bottm of the unit.

I am definitivly getting old :-( :-( :-( I decided to give the back lawn it's first trim. I was all I could do, to walk up and down the lawn. My back and legs keept wanting to sit down. Have only done a high cut, haven't trimmed round the lawn ans deadheaded any plants. That will have to be for another day. The front can wait till tomorrow, if I feel like it. OMG how am I going to do my veg plot this year. Perhaps it will get easier.
Glad you all liked the PLASTIC CHAIR. I must admit it had tears in my eyes, in more ways than I care to think about. It is great if you have a good imagination !!!!
Ros, Hasn't gone out today, she has pain in both legs this morning. She is seeing the doctor on Tuesday, so he might up the strength of the Morphin patches.
Ann, Ros says thanks for the info. The web links will be useful, once she gets started. She dosen't know it but I am bidding on some Jewellery Magazines whick mi8ght be useful for her.
Great morning here, wall to wall sunshine, and quite mild.
See you later.

Hi all,
Thank you for your requests to see the cake decs, hope you won't be too disappointed. I've just mailed them out using one of Frank's BCC lists, I haven't done it before so I hope they get to you. If not PM me and I'll me & I'll make sure you get to see it.
Frank, I think you need to take it easy and bu**er the lawn for now. Get yourself back into condition before you start on the garden, you've had real dose of it. You've got the rest of the year to sort that out.
Flowers, was it the Double Diamond works wonders ad that you were referring to?
Poor Carmel is under the weather and was in bed all day yesterday and has jsut gone back to bed now because she's got a migraine. She seems to have a tummy upset as she hardly ate yesterday. She's trying to get herself well enough to enjoy my daughters 50th birthday meal tomorrow and her own day on Monday. So if you don't see me on here much for a few days you'll know why.
Denise, congrats on getting repatriated with your car. You do miss them when they're off the road etc.
Anyway, I'm off now, have a nice weekend, but I'll sneak back to see what you're all up to.

Hello all What a lovely afternoon.I have heard a couple more mowers .Not ours though. Frank you are a Silly Billy.Fancy trying to do your lawn ,you are just getting over the Flu !!!!! :-S :-S.Give yourself a chance to get your strength back again. Lets hope the pain eases in Ros's legs. She is always on the go .Does that make the back/legs worse?
William what a great Cake.I love it.I do hope Carmel will recover in time for both Birthdays.Maybe another easy day today will do the trick.
Pat it sounds like you will be busy with all those boxes and trips to the Charity shops :-)It makes you wonder where everything has come from and why on earth we hang on to some of the things lol
Are those holes finished being made yet Fiona?I hear banging going on here now. It's Chris in the garage trying to fix new brackets on 'that pipe'.I am staying well out of it.(I don't think he is finding it as easy as he thought) So while he is in there I made a Venison Casserole. It is simmering nicely now and smells a bit rich.It has been a very long time since I last made one. I think Chris will be a happy bunny .
Ann,I take it there won't be any more Zip Flowers
;-)It sounded a very frustrating task.I would not have the patience :-S
I hope our Kim has not have to go off to Hospital.Fingers crossed for you Kim <3
Hi everyone else.Enjoy the weekend :-D :-D

Hi Everyone,
Lovely day here, OH has gone to the match and I have a pile more sorting for the charity shop to do!! :-S I dropped a couple more bags in at the Dogs' Home this morning as I was passing. The shed where you leave donations was empty at the beginning of the week and this morning it was packed to the rafters and I couldn't even step inside!! I had to squeeze my bags in at the top enough to shut the door again! I never realised donations poured in at this rate. I then went in their little Charity shop just to look at the jewellery really and bought a broken bracelet with some interesting 2 hole beads for 50p and a pair of tiny, pink, blue and green glass dragonfly earings for 25p. I thought the dragonflies might look good on a necklace or bracelet. :-) It is actually a very good little shop with things the normal charity shops don't seem to bother with like spools of cotton, elastic, buttons and loads of good knitting patterns and needles.
No, Jane I don't think you will see me wearing any zip flowers!! lol Will email the 'effort' in a few minutes Mandy......don't expect a 'wonder'!! lol Still to finish the other necklace later.
Frank, you need a slap!! lol. You are still recovering so give yourself time and don't expect too much for another week or two.
The cake looks a treat William!! :-D I hope your wife soon feels better so she can enjoy the birthdays.
