I was sorry to read of poor Whitney Houstons death I saw her in the film the Bodyguard and still have the film so will watch it more now I was very sad she died so dreadful for her daughter who is not very good I believe.

i do hope Mel and Mandy had happy birthdys mel there is a card winging its way to you also .I had to send Moonpigs not had a minute to myself to do otherwise. I am getting more sorted now.

I met Beryl for lunch Donnie forgot valentines day she managed to keep her gob shut for a change.

We have just noticed that the ends of the outside window sills on the porch have been glued on while we were sweeping up this evening, the joiner must have been this afternoon while I was at the shops, that just leaves a workman to come and do the rough cast .
OH gone for his shower been fixing the the cable for the lights .Going to put the kettle on he is gasping for a cuppa

Maureen, sorry little Alfie is unwell. all you can do is love him .

Mocha is now on another 2 weeks antibiotics now...If not happy with him we have to take him back..The vet said his lungs are clear..If this doesnt help he is to have an xray but will need to be put out and a tube put down his throat he is like a child in the morning coughing and spluttering..

He said it might be a congenical sp trachea problem but that is very rare we will just have to wait and see how the tablets work,,Still cant go to my daughters while he is like this as she has 2 dogs and the vet is saying he is infectious still. My daughter lives 2 hours away..

We have insurance but we are not covered by an on going illness with this one.We have a months free with pet plan but have to pay £75 excess?? so not worth claiming the few pounds back..The new one with sainsbu*ys start as this one ends but we are not covered.. We decided against pet plan as so expensive..

He is already trying to take my slippers off my feet lol..

Ah ha! or was it the EAR that was nearer the EYE David. :-)

No, I didn't think the charity shop would take the couple of pairs of 'scanties' so they went in the ragbag for the dustbin men...........it should give the recycling sorters a giggle though!! OH has been in the loft and got about 8 more big polythene boxes down for me to sort through now. No more things to titter at, but I know there are about 3 old dresses I remember I have kept. I wonder how tiny they will be. One is a maroon, crushed velvet with silver piping from the 70s!! It will bring back some memories I'm sure. What I can't figure is how on earth I could ever have worn crushed velvet when I get so hot now. lol

Glad you liked your card Mel. Can we see a pic of your mug with the photo.....never saw any of you on your hols. :-D

William, that is not the way to win round your 'foe'. lol I have heard it said that a cat never messes in it's OWN garden, so maybe the pipe and slippers should be laid on next to make it feel 'at home'?

Maureen, what a shame to get that news about Alfie. It is right though, he has had nearly 2 happy years with you already that he wouldn't have had if you hadn't taken him in. I would do the same as you I think, as you don't know what other problems might be in store for him with his history and then where do you draw the line with expense and his quality of life still might not be good. At least you can keep him safe and comfortable now you know.

Yes, what's Charlie Horse Shirl.......never heard that before? :-S

Sounds like poor little Mocha is struggling a bit Pat. He is still a baby, so keep him warm, don't want his lungs getting any worse. I think you will just have to accept more accidents while he is unwell as he might have less control anyway while he is poorly. I found an old sock with a knot in the middle for shaking the living daylights out of was a good distraction from mouthing slippers!

Sorry you are still unwell Frank. It is horrid when you feel you just have to rest in bed. Hope the 'butler' keeps you entertained and that you feel a bit better tomorrow.

Sheila I am amazed Beryl had nothing to say about no flowers or valentine!! lol

OH knew I wouldn't want flowers so got me chocs and cards and took me out for lunch, just to the garden centre as it was the quietist place I could think of with it being half term. :-D

Hope you are getting a bit of energy back Kim. I have just been enjoying a series on tv about the Great Barrier Reef......would love to see all the fish!!

Off to bed now, hope I am a bit cooler tonight!! Night, night xx

P.S Denise, I will try to find the page number with the bit about the pony on and let you know what it is. Hope you enjoyed your bowls.....something I have never tried.

Hello everyone,

Lovely sunny day here and not too hot.

Sheila your roses sound beautiful. Can't believe that Beryl didn't stack on a "turn" with Donnie!! I have the soundtrack CD for The Bodyguard which has some good songs, but I really liked her earlier songs back in the 80s when she first came to fame.

Maureen, poor little Alfie. Lots of love and a special bond between you two. I hope there's more time yet and he is comfortable.

Pat little Mocha is having a rough time. His toilet training is going to be disrupted with sickness and medication. I hope these new antibiotics will get rid of the cough. Where does the breeder stand in all this, as he must have picked it up from there.

My Bess is no better, not eating and losing weight (vet weighed her) and very listless. Might be back there tomorrow I think.

Shirl what are you going to do with the chocolate. If I lived closer you could share it with me. Maybe the monsters will have it???

Ann I have never seen the Barrier Reef, but I did go out in a glass bottom boat up at Brampton Island and the fish are amazing. Have only ever had the one trip to Queensland.

Frank hope you are feeling a bit better and having a restful night. Take care.

William I wish I'd had a few tactics when the "Yellow Cat" was terrorising our neighbour a few years back. He was a huge feral ginger thing that chased people, attacked animals and wildlife and sprayed everywhere. He must be with his maker as I haven't seen him for about 5 years. We tried to catch him in a possum cage and ended up trapping the silly cat from across the road, haha. He was far too clever for any of our feeble attempts.

Off to watch the news now. 5.10 pm DST

Morning All and Evening Kim if you are looking in.

Dull but dry again today. Oh fiddled with the hovermower yesterday after doing only three lines of mowing it conked out. He had it all apart in the garage and rebuilt the carb and freed the cable. Still can't get it to run faster but he is out there this morning mowing the west wall grass.

Shot a bunny yesterday and today there are two out there feeding with the bantams, clever or what? They are under my old shed.

Just caught up with your posts.

Maureen I am so sorry to hear about poor little Alfie but I am sure you are doing the right thing and letting nature take it's coarse. As the others have said you have given him nearly two years of a very good life.

Pat poor little Mocha I do hope he gets better soon. Kennel Cough can be a nasty buisness. My alsatian used to get it every time she went into kennels when we went away.

Sheila your roses sounded lovely. Fancy him remembering they were the colour in your wedding bouquet. Hope your oh is better after his nasty turn in the hsop the other day.

Afternoon everyone,

Nice sunny day here today ,there's quite a wind too.

Maureen , poor little Alfie, it's hard having to decide what to do , you could go on and on spending on him its just knowing when to stop , i think your doing the right thing , but for you he probably wouldn't be here now .

Well to days the day we should find out the sex of the baby !! i bet he/she will have their legs crossed so we carn't see!!:-D should get a new scan photo too.

Afternoon All

Been quite a nice day so far , we have had the sun out , and if your well wraped up apart from a chilly wind it's lovely for a walk.

It's happened again, I went down town to meet friends for coffee and when I got back , builders ? had been and concreated the porch ready for the rough cast to be put on.
so hopefully some one will come back and finish the job this week. :-D :-D

Thank you all for your kind words on Alfie, I feel bad putting money before his well being but sometimes you just have to.

Cats DO go in their own garden Ann, not sure about Oscar but the other two definitely have their own places in my garden, I have watched them and Coco pe**s like a cow, her tail arches high and a waterfall rains down on my plants, doesn't seem to do the plants any harm but I've stopped planting edible stuff.

My what a glamour puss you are Shirl. go on tell us the photo was taken last summer .......

Started my spring clean early, so I'd better get back to it before I lose the momentum. BBL

William

William Report 15 Feb 2012 15:37

Afternoon all.

It's a rest from BBBM from me today, because we have been to see Baby Grace again. I'm so happy, even if I saw BBBM, I might scoop him up and give him a big smacker of a kiss on his whiskers. Now, that would probably keep him out of our garden forever! Baby Grace is as beautiful, as tiny and as good as ever. Both Carmel and myself had big long cuddles with her, Her Mummy had just fed her so she was content to just lay and sleep safely in our arms while we sat in wonder of anything so small and so perfect. I know I sound more than biased, but I have to admit that she is the most perfect little thing I've ever seen. Should have a photo for you to see very soon just to prove I'm not telling porkies.

I'm hoping that Frank may feel a little better today as two hilarious email jokes from him turned up in my mailbox. It made me feel better and I'm not even ill. Just keep taking whatever it is Frank, and get back on here with us. Both Janet and Maureen contributed good ones too. On yours Maureen, I laughed out loud when I saw the one with the cat where the mouse should be. Good use for Big Bad Black Moggy I thought, if I only I could get my hands on him.

Ann, don't think me a pervert but I was thinking of your scanties in the rag bag - must be a very small rag bag I thought!!! What could be worse than sending yopur scanties to the charities shop? Sending them with your name tag in them! If you've got any old thongs you don't want, send them to me, I could use them as a catapult in my defences against BBBM. Waste not, want not. Surely thongs were invented by a male, sadistic misoginist - he probably WAS the same guy who invented the catapult!!!

Okay folks, that's enough from me for now. Off to check my Facebook.

Hello All.
Better late than never. My pooter has been on a go slow today.

Fiona, one step never completion :-D :-DI bet you can't wait for all the work to be finished.

William ,how lovely to have been able to see little Grace and have a nice snuggle with her. Can't wait to see her.
Back to cat poo.It doesn't half stink .Even just small amounts.I remember when we went to Tokyo and visited a park, certain parts reeked .I think all of Tokyo's stray cats used it as their public convenience :-S :-S

Any news yet Mandy on the baby scan?

I will be losing my car for a few days .Once again I have agreed to let James take it to go down to Canterbury and put £50 of petrol in the tank. :-S
His car is ok but is now old and uses more petrol and oil.So it seems sensible to go in a more reliable one.

Back to poo again(sorry). Now all the snow has gone all Chesters deposits (that had been covered ) came to light :-S :-S.So a big clear up operation went into gear this morning.Thank goodness for doggie poo bags, and it was bin day today ,so all gone now :-D :-D

No Frank!.I hope he alright and no worse. <3
