I remember having "ONE IN EACH HAND" and I'm not talking drinks LOL LOL

That "PADDY McGuiness" is on T.V. it's almost as bad as X factor to me !!!!

We had a new Indian Menu dropped through the door this afternoon, so thought we would try it. Marvelous not only takeaway, you can eat in and take your drink with you. The prices were very reasonable. I had Tandori prawns, They were like small lobsters, in the shells and the flavour was great. Ros had a Tandori special, and we shares a Garlic Rice. Stink now. No snugling up tonight !!! :-) :-) :-)

Feeling a lot better this evening. After my shower this morning I carried out the choirs, and did all the veg for tomorrows dinner, got a joint of Silverside out of the freezer. Looks very lean, so will have to put a bit of dripping round it, for the Yorkshire pudding, (always cook it round the meat).

Where's James off to then Jane if he won't be back till Monday ??? Not doing a KIM'S son I hope. LOL LOL

I haven't had an alcalholoc drink since Tuesday. Must be a record for me. I have been settling for COKE. the Liquid one.

Trust everybody that's well continue to be so, and you sick lot, improve soon.

Annx Report 7 Jan 2012 20:29

Oh Mel, I hope it is only a slight one so you can improve it with exercises!

Jane, how can people be so cruel!!!! It makes me mad too and greyhounds are such gentle dogs. I can understand people not being able to afford to keep their pets, but like you say, we have animal shelters they can take them to.....no excuse. Certainly no need to treat them like that either. The antibiotics did have a bit of that effect, but I finished those last Monday so it isn't them.

Glad you are on the mend Frank. At least your appetite is back!

Jane Report 7 Jan 2012 20:30

Frank I cant possibly imagine what you mean ;-) ;-) :-S :-S.As for sharing a garlic breath at night I have to just turn away lol, even though my breath will be just as bad.I am not a Tandoori fan as I find it too dry,but glad you enjoyed yours.
James is just off to Chislehurst tomorrow as Jess wants him to go for his Birthday.Even though she has only just been gone from here for 2 days. They are 'in love' :-D.Trouble is James really doesn't want to go as it will be another £50 in petrol ,plus out for a meal.He is also just so full of cold.He is trying to steam himself in the bath at the moment.
He will get his Birthday Money a bit early tomorrow before he goes so he has some spondulics to take with him.

No word from our Kim.I hope all is well /or at least improving .

Cooee Liz ! It's been a while :-D

Morning All,

Very quiet here today. No wind and very dull and not cold at all. Strange weather we are having.

Those poor greyhounds Jane, like Ann said they are such loving creatures. X ones make great pets.

My little cockrels are crowoing their heads off this morning and last night when I went out to put some rubbish in the bin, quite late, there were owls all round the garden twit twooing in the trees. They are trying to claim their territories at the moment. I should have liked to have taped it as there must have been at least eight about somewhere. It was like a chorus.

Morning Mel and all

We nearly had an X racing Greyhound called Jo Jo.But somehow ended up with a little 10 week old puppy called CHESTER !!! :-S :-S :-D :-D

It's very still here too Mel.Not a breath. It seems a bit eerie .Chris is out with you know who.Just over the back field. The old boy can't do his long walks anymore.(Chester ,not Chris) lolol

How lovely to hear all those owls last night. It's made me realise I haven't heard our usual ones for a while now.I wonder where they are.

Oh they are back now and Chester is waiting for his breakfast.

Have been to the R*nge this morning to get some new nets for the conservatory windows ,that's the next room to be decorated in a few weeks time , i have already got the new blinds they are a Teal colour ,just got to pick a colour for the walls ,i quite fancy a Silver Grey or some thing light like that ,but i do tend to change my mind like the wind hubby says :-S :-S

Those poor Grey Hounds !! what wicked people there are about ,well you carn't call them people ,oh it makes me so mad when i hear things like that !!i hope they get what they deserve !!
I'd love a Grey Hound ,they have such a sad looking face , wouldn't want to have to catch one though if it ran off LOL

Was hoping to see Downton Abbey that i recorded at Christmas ,but hubby's got the football on !!!

Hope all the invalids are feeling better today ,so many colds and bugs about .

Afternoon All

Been very busy tidying rooms after Christmas and getting OH to put Christmas Decorations in the loft,I have had to get him to do jobs around the house as he is away in England on Monday & Tuesday,

Have put all the goodies that was left over from the festive season away, as I am forever into the sweetie tin, and I want to put weight on BUT not that quick. Oh managed to get out on his bike while I was at church this morning as he is feeling full and wants to lose a bit of belly fat.

Still Raining here, but not so windy. did i tell you about a friend of mine, her garage roof blew off last week and landed on the next doors garage going through the roof and landing on their car which is now a right off,
A job for the insurance /soliciter's I think,

Frank Report 8 Jan 2012 15:13

Hi i'm here, even though it's late.

Been watching the football, was disgusted with the REF. that was never a sending off, and the game went from bad to worse. Poor City.

Having a late dinner, Roast beef etc., Ros had a bowl of soup at lunchtime as she was peckish.

Nothing to report from this end, hope you are all well. Cough Cough :-) :-) :-)

Jane

Jane Report 8 Jan 2012 15:17

Liz i bet it did you both good yesterday to get out and about seeing those old sites.
I think it wicked that nurses are not allowed to use the car park all the time.As you say if some come in from the country with few or no buses how on earth do they manage :-S

Fiona ,that is terrible about your friends roof and the damage it caused to their neighbours roof and car.Thank goodness no-one was hurt.
I just caught Chris in the Chocolate Biscuit tin :-| :-|.I think we still have a fair amount of goodies left from Christmas but I won't investigate as I don't want to be tempted lol

Mandy do they sell Cafe nets at the Ran**?.You know the ones. They go on a thin pole part way up the window.I have been looking for ages now as I need one for my kitchen window ,but cannot find them anywhere.
How is Katie and her Chicken pox ?
I went to Asd* this morning and got a new Duvet for James's bed.Good bargain !.So that is now on his bed.He will moan ,and say it is too thick, but his was disgusting so I have binned it.Just done a load of ironing too ,and my thumbs are killing. So all housework is done now for the day.(any excuse) ;-)

Cris has spent most of the day fixing the greenhouse. So fingers crossed we don't have any more high winds .I need to wrap a couple of Birthday presents for James ,but as he won't be home until tomorrow evening I will do them in the morning.

I keep thinking about those poor dogs.I haven't heard any more as to whether they have been found.Time now for a nice cuppa I think.

Jane

Jane Report 8 Jan 2012 15:57

You sneaked in there Frank.I hope you covered your mouth then .Can't have you coughing all over us :-S.Sounds as though you are having a nice easy day.I cannot comment on the football as I haven't a clue what you are talking about
:-S :-S :-S

Annx Report 8 Jan 2012 16:29

Afternoon All,

Recorded footie on the telly here too Mandy!! I like the sound of your colours......our lobby where the front door is is pale grey. Teal.....another nice colour, I have one or two tops that colour. :-D :-D

That must have been nice Liz, having a trip down memory lane visiting the old haunts.

I would love to have heard your Owls Mel. We used to get one I could hear some nights when we moved here 11 years ago, but as it gets more built up I don't hear that now.

I seem to be tickety boo again today so have started going through all the paperwork. (I wonder why I am the one that still deals with all these things now OH is retired? :-S) The washer is whirring and I think it is time to sort and take some old towels to the dogs' home next week.

I bet Chris will have sore fingers after putting those clips back on the greenhouse Jane. Do you think if he put some extra ones between the others on the sheets that blew out, it might stop them flexing as much so they didn't come out so easily.

OH starts getting the stuff out of the loft to sort tomorrow, so I'm not doing any HW till we have done that as it will only want doing again with all the mess that will make. :-S I'm not looking forward to it in some ways..........can just hear him saying things like 'what do you want to keep that for?' lol :-0

We seem to be hanging on to our little santa!

:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Tracey Report 8 Jan 2012 16:48

HI FROM DRY BUT VERY VERY COLD CANADA :-( :-(

Bet you wish your hands were FULL now Frank!!! lol ;-) ;-)

Lot of racing Grey Hounds around when i was growing up , most of the fellows would be out walking 3/or 4 at a time ,would take them to Fife for racing.

MillymollyAmanda

MillymollyAmanda Report 8 Jan 2012 16:49

Thank goodness no one was hurt by your friends garage roof Fiona .

We still have lots of goodies from Christmas sweets and biscuits etc , the children will soon sort some of them out LOL

Jane, the Ra*ge has got those cafe nets , only one pattern though, and that was the pattern i got for all the other windows in the conservatory , 12" drop with a little daisy flower on it , i have seen some with colour on but i just wanted white.

I don't think Katie has Chickenpox ,i think it was just a rash ,although the pharmacist in Bo*ts thought it was ,yesterday when i saw her i couldn't hardly see any thing , i think DIL will see if she turns really spotty and take her to the doctors .
I keep thinking of those poor dogs ,at least the weather is mild if they're still out there , poor things will be hungry though.

Frank, hubby watched the football for a while ,he got tired of it so i then watched Downton which i recorded at christmas.

We're having Toad in the Hole tonight ,i haven't had any lunch today so i'am just about ready for it !! won't be ready for a while though.

Annx

Annx Report 8 Jan 2012 17:07

OH has just had a belated Xmas present..........I just found some York Fr*its I got for him in a bag in my car boot! :-D :-D Luckily I won't be tempted as he is the one who loves jelly fruits and jelly b*bies.

I see we have 'The Mystery of Edwin Drood' to look forward to on Jan 10th at 9.00pm. The last novel Dickens wrote and died before he finished it so they had to make up the ending!

Jane

Jane Report 8 Jan 2012 17:31

Mandy ,I just had a look on the Rang* web site. Can't see any Cafe nets :-S :-S
When I think I knew the owner of the Rang* when I was at school.Used to bunk off school and we would all meet up at Mo's Cafe lol.
I just looked him up on Google. Chris Dawson is his name.It said in 2009 he was worth about £150 million!!!!.He left school at 15 with no qualifications.I knew I should have stayed bezzie friends with him lolol.

Ann why are you clearing the loft? Did you say ,and I missed it?.Is is just a general clear out? We did that a few years ago and had a skip. You should have seen the stuff we through out.Lots of arguments as to what to keep and what to chuck.Chris was getting rid of everything ,and James and me would go and have a secret root through the skip and sneak a few bits back in lol

Mandy ,maybe Katie had a Viral thingy that caused the spots or an allergic reaction to something.

Dinner tonight ......no roast. But Sausages,Asparagus wrapped in Pancetta,
Black Pepper and Cheddar Muffins topped with poached eggs.I think that will do nicely. My mouth is watering already. :-D

Jane

Jane Report 8 Jan 2012 17:35

Liz .I couldn't possibly see the War Horse.I would start crying even before it started lol

Annx

Annx Report 8 Jan 2012 17:55

War Horse is one I want to see too Liz. I think it is being released next week. I nearly bought the book on Ama*on as it was very cheap. I think it will be a bit upsetting Jane.......I cried when I read Black Beauty!!

I think we will go and see The Iron Lady this week now I am not coughing!! It has had mixed reviews, but Meryl Streep is supposed to be very good in it.

We decided the loft has too much up there Jane, 'thin clothes' ;-) and stuff we no longer need, so thought we'd have a clearout before we get back to finishing the garden in Spring. It will be a clearout in the study next!! lol
