Lol William.
ann I too always chuckle at Heavy plant crossing. Have a vision of a huge flowering plant crossing the road. One seen recently at the golf club entrance. 'slow golfers crossing'. A comma would make all the difference.

Frank Report 7 Jan 2012 11:19

I can't be first again today, and I have only just rolled out of bed.

Had a good night, but woke with a sore throat, and hot and cold sweats. Ros bought me in me Asprin and two cups of tea.

She has gone to meet Martine, for their Saturday gaunt around Morriso#s Leaving me strict instructions, Not to do anything while she's out. But I have emptied the kitchen bin and plastics, and will run the hoover over the lounge and make the bed. (THATS NOT MUCH IS IT ????) Must get a joint out for dinner tomorrow.

William, I must start taking notes of all the silly signs, there are a lot around. One comes to mind "DANGER MEN AT WORK" with no one in sight or on site.

Ann I think it's called OLD AGE.

Nice sunny morning out there today. Must not be tempted to go for a walk. She would kill me.

Jane Report 7 Jan 2012 13:24

You STAY PUT young man ,otherwise there will be trouble :-S.Ros will expect you to be sat wrapped in a blanket in your chair with your book like a good boy.

James has now got a right corker of a cold.Have just been to stock up on tissues, cold remedy and paracetamols .I wonder who will get it next.I am staying well away from him lol

It's a chilly day here, and I'm trying to decide whether to light the fire or not. That wind has picked up again too.I will think about it while I get some lunch.

Afternoon all,

Frank someones got to be first , glad to hear you had a good night ,makes all the difference if you've slept well, don't go over doing it today ,that sounds enough ,you know you'll get wrong from Ros if you do !!

Where's everyone today ? all busy?

The decorations are now back in the loft ,also been to sons house to help him get his put away , Katie seems fine ,all she has is a tiny rash on her tummy , makes me wonder if it is Chickenpox !! time will tell i suppose .

Not much else happening here ,hubby's just having his after dinner nap , snoring away ,might have to give a big cough in a minute wake him up or he'll never sleep tonight .!!

my daughter had chickenpox while she was staying with grandparents in Spain. M-i-l rang and asked if she would be able to fly as she was due home the next day, I said it would be fine. Didn't realise until I met her at the airport how bad it was, her face was covered in spots, I asked if anyone questioned her and she said Grandma said just say they are mosquito bites .....lol

Ooh Ann, how embarrassing, I know I've done the same thing, was due to meet financial advisor went up to the counter of the building society and said I had an appointment with Mr. ...... she looked at me very puzzled and asked her colleague by which time the penny had dropped, I was in the wrong Building Society.

Hope you are feeling a bit better now Frank, they do say feed a cold, well that's my excuse for pigging out, can't seem to get back into my healthy routine since all the goodies at Christmas.

Shirl. you're a girl after my own heart, nearly every photo of you you've got a drink in your hand ;-)

That's Katie, Mandy's granddaughter. Is that you Pat in Spain.

Me too, one in each hand Shirl. and a few more lined up ......lol

Wish you lived nearer Jane, I have two seats in the garden piled up with logs from the Walnut tree, took some up to my daughters over Christmas but they are so heavy can't take too many.

Jane

Jane Report 7 Jan 2012 16:32

I've often had one in each hand Shirl .Back in my youth of course ;-).I have been known to pick Chris's glass up too while my own is right beside me.Tut Tut!
I love the new pic of you and of Pat in the sun with your drinkies.

Oh Mel.......don't cough or sneeze too hard will you!You don't want anything popping out !.Sorry I don't mean to make light of it.Just my warped sense of humour
:-D
I am being very lazy this afternoon and basically doing not a lot.Watching the story of Eastenders.Funny seeing some of the old characters.I had forgotten about some of them.

There has been a very distressing story in our local paper. It seems someone threw from a moving car 2 Greyhounds tied together(alive). This was a few days ago. There is still a big hunt to find the poor dogs.I guess the rope or whatever holding them together undid when they were thrown and they have run off.I just cannot understand the cruelty some people will inflict on animals. If they don't want to keep their pets they can easily drop them at a Rescue place or even a vet and say they found them .Makes me so angry.Just let me get my hands on these evil and cruel individuals.

Hi Folks,

Frank, I hope you aren't overdoing it or there will be trouble when Ros gets home!! OLD AGE lol.........I was like this in my 30s too!! :-D

Pat, it took me ages at first to know 'who was who and belonged to whom'. It will come in time. Your Spanish pic has made me want some sunshine on my back. It's been dull and cold here all day.

I was beginning to feel much better and what d'ya know............had to rush home this afternoon......now it's the trots!!!! We were going out shopping when OH gets home from the match.........I think he will be going on his own! lol I'm staying put!!

I see our local Rosemary Conley is in Dancing on Ice this time........I imagine she will be pretty fit.

Maureen

Maureen Report 7 Jan 2012 17:56

Looking forward to Dancing on Ice, I prefer it to Strictly, quite a mixed bunch this year.

I think you'd better stay put Ann, just in case. Hope you feel better soon.

It amazes me how some people can be so cruel Jane, do they think animals have no feelings.

Jane

Jane Report 7 Jan 2012 17:56

I am just going to PM you.
