Ann ,I don't think I remember the first New year Day holiday.But something in the back of my mind does(if you know what I mean).
James had a big Jigsaw puzzle for Christmas.The Skyline of London.1000 pieces.It reminded me of when we always has a puzzle and it was always great to be able to put the last bit in :-D :-D.James ,Hannah and Sarah spent ages doing the puzzle and finally got it finished a few minutes before Sarah went back to London.I have a victory pic!

I am off to bed now.Hopefully Chris has had that Catarrh stuff and is sleeping like a baby.I can't be doing with another night like last night :-S :-S :-S

Well, I had a little google and it was 1974, so I was right in saying I had been working quite a few years!!

I didn't get a jigsaw this year.....haven't done last year's yet, but might get it out tomorrow now you have reminded me. It IS very satisfying to put that last piece in though! Worse when you can't find it and think it is missing, but spot it on the floor.

Off to bed now, feeling a lot better so should sleep well. I seem to have pulled a muscle in my side with all the coughing though!! :-S I shall miss the little Santa emoticon when they take him off.

Just dashing out to buy some dog shampoo :-S.Not sure what Chester smells of but it seems a bit foxy to me :-S :-S :-S :-S.Then the fun begins.He loves water but just keeps drinking it from the shower tray,and then splashing with his paws .He just won't stay still.I tend to do him in my shower nowadays rather than the bath as he is more enclosed and can't shake the water quite as far lol.

Thank you for the kind messages for yesterday..Got home early evening.Was raining in the afternoon then it followed us all the way home..Roads were not as busy as we thought they would be..

Very cold up the cementry but it was dry then..

Son and daughterin law coped well.

I was cough cough all night..All in my nose etc..Had to force myself out of bed this morning to go food shopping..Then neighbour who had flood has asked us to dinner tonight for new year..Is he feeling ok ???It must be a first for him...

We did ask him and his parents round just after christmas for a quick drink ..They were here for 2 and a half hours lol...He is on his own now..At least I will get to see his finished house now..

Kim I hope your daughter is feeling better now..my year old grandson tripped and caught his eye on the tv unit just before we left for home..He was lucky it missed it.A lovely bruise came up straight away. under it..They had him checked out later at the hosp...

It is now 12.18 am in Aus. and I just want to wish everyone health, happiness and blessings for you and your families in 2012.

We have had a quiet night here. I blitzed OH at Scrabble and we have just finished watching the fireworks on the tv. As usual, they have done a spectacular display on the harbour with over a million people down there to view it with family and friends.

I have been catching up with the washing inbetween the visits,,The ironing is piling up..
When we unloaded the bedding from the car from my sons on the first visit...I said what are we doing with Gareths mop bucket...He had a new mop etc.. I had said to Alan I could do with one of thoses mops..I had a new sponge one a few weeks ago a squeezy one..But I havent the strength in my hands to sweeze the water out..Is that a surprise Xmas pressie I said to OT...When we went back to sons a few days later..He asked if I liked my new mop...They had to go to Tesc*s for other things so they picked it up lol....Shall I use it today lol..

Sounds familiar Pat. Mine is still in the nose too and my nose bled when I blew it first thing this morning. I suppose it is swollen and sore inside. Felt achey this morning too so I took Para*etomol and stayed in bed. I'd left them off yesterday. Still coughing and creaky, but not as much. I hope yours soon goes. OH popped out for some shopping and said a lot of people were sniffling and coughing. That should be interesting to see your neightbour's place after the flood repairshave been done. Glad your daughter and SIL coped ok at the cemetry, must be difficult.

Poor Chester, just gets his 'nice' perfume dabbed behind his ears to welcome in the New Year and he is whisked off into the shower!!!! lol

Mandy it will be a quiet one for Chris and me tonight too.Darby and Joan .I always try and stay awake for Big Ben and the fireworks and then open the front door to see any fireworks going off here.I used to love it when I lived in Plymouth and hear all the ships hooters at midnight.
Is anyone going to a party?Mum and Dad had brilliant NYE parties.Everyone came and it was always great fun.
James has just come in from helping his pal put up a Marquee in his garden for tonight's bash.He said it was quite a job to do (about 20 foot or so.)Chris will be taking him and Jess out between 9 and 10.They will have to make their own way back in the small hours.
HAPPY NEW YEAR KIM(you are probably asleep now).I always love watching Sydney's Fireworks.I too hope that 2012 will be a healthier year for you .Hoping your daughter is on the mend now also.I bet she hasn't felt well enough to join in the celebrations.

You sneaked in there Ann lol.I bet you frightened next doors dog with your barking.He probably thinks there's a new dog on the block :-D.Your poor old nose must be so sore now.There are so many people around here sniffing and snorting and coughing at the moment.I think this has been the first Christmas in a number of years that none of us has been ill.
I'm just trying to muster up the courage to give Chester his shower.I bought some Evening Primrose Oil Shampoo........Wish me luck !!!!!

Been sale shopping today, bought a couple of tops in Marks. and a brown handbag in bhs.

Just relaxing watching TV. daughter no 2 working so we won't be having dinner till about 6.00 tonight, we are having a mixed grill , won't take OH to long do the dinner.

Haven't seen next door neighbours for the last couple of days, they usually invite us in for New Year, but with their friend passing away on Christmas day, they could be keeping a low profile or maybe have gone visiting relatives this year instead,

Well I'm still here and is 2.22 am. You think you teach them well "Have a good night, but take it easy" and at 12.45 someone rocks up to the front door with your son who is totally written off and has downed nearly a bottle of straight Jack Dan**ls. He is now on the way to hospital with father following faithfully in the car. Totally unconscious and not knowing where he is and going into toxic shock as they are leaving. I feel like ripping someone's hair out at the moment, but not my own!!!!!! He's had a few ups and downs lately, but that's life and nothing gets better by wiping yourself out and putting yourself at risk.

There endeth the lesson or has it just begun??????? :-S :-0 :-| I won't get any sleep tonight.

Lucky he had a good friend with a lovely, understanding mother and they brought him home and stayed with us until and ambulance came.

Bye for now, I might find a horror movie I can watch, lol.

I bet Chester's come up smelling of (prim)roses now! Do you go in with him Jane or do you reach from outside with the showerhead in your hand. I suppose you both get wet however you do it! :-S

I can't get on with those squeeze mops either! I must admit I just tend to spot clean with a wipe or cloth mostly when I see marks in the kitchen and use a flat mop thing with a wipe on in the bathroom. The bathroom floor is the worst to do......white tiles.

Oh Bloo*y He** Kim.They are sent to try us aren't they :-S.I'm sure Joel will be fine ,and hopefully when he wakes up he will realise what a silly arse he has been.I know I was pretty wild when I was younger ,but thankfully never ended up in hospital.I can see you up all night now .You may even still be up when we go into New Year. :-S.I hope not though.
