Thank you Jane, I remember you not being well last year and that lingering cough! It is his fault as you say.......he forgets himself and is too 'kissy' and spreads his bugs!!! lol I was wondering what starter you decided to do, but its' in the bin now?? :-S lol Tomato soup with basil?......or room for more pud as you say is a good idea.

Am listening to Kings College. The carols seems to get more beautiful each year - Always find them emotional, reminds me of past Christmas's, Midnight Mass, loved ones now not here, always feel a bit down at Xmas - seeing the children tomorrow, should make me feel better.

Ann, wasn't it good of OH to share his cold with you :-) wrap it up and give it back lol i hope it doesn't spoil your day tomorrow , i've done that with the gammon , bought smoked instead of unsmoked , you'll just have to boil it up a few times to get the salt out .

Jane, sons turkey was quite icey this morning ,but i did manage to get the giblets out so that should help it to thaw i also turned it upside down and released the wings a bit too.

The carols are always lovely ,but i'am watching Narnia , that's the child in me coming out :-) :-) :-)

Sister has just rung and asked if we would like to go theirs on Boxing day , they thought we were going to sons both days, we were just going to have a quiet day just the two of us, so that will be nice .

If you can get the giblets out that will help it to thaw better , try and ease the legs apart a bit too.

Ooooh William ! not nice to have a dicky tum on Christmas Eve.Hope it has cleared up by the morning.I did make sure I have a good supply of Loo rolls in as often someone ends up needing more than the usual at Xmas time :-S

I brought ours in from the cold shed , i thought it was too cold out there , i left ours in the conservatory over night .

It might help it to thaw if you leave it in the kitchen over night , it's not going to hurt if its that frozen !!!

I have been baking all afternoon after a friend called with our trailer back and some pressies for us. Gave them theirs and Graham brought me two huge bags of straw for the chickens.

Have made 21 mince pies and I don't know how many sausage rolls because oh has been eating those too!! Must admit I have had three :-D :-D :-D Naughty but nice :-)

Willliam I do hope you tum sorts itself out for tomorrow too. Nothing worst than seeing all the lovely food about and not being able to eat it or fancy it.

Pressies all around the tree just waiting to be opened tomorrow. Probably after church as oh is ringing for the service in the morning.

I hope you all get what you asked for tomorrow. I know a couple of mine that I needed badley which I asked oh for. He always asks me what I want and I am frightened to ask for a surprize as I may not like it!!!! Does that sound silly???? :-) I would much rather not have a surprize and something I want than something that is going to go in the back of the cupboard never to be seen for years.

My turkey crowon has thawed nicely today. I have it in the uti room on a tray at the moment as thats the warmest room in the house when the heating is not on. Freezer in there keeps it warm. It's a chest one.

Just had an hours fun of a christmas truth or dare game I picked up in one of the shops, if you answer the question you can have a chocolate, Daughter no 2 and boyfriend have been picking at nuts and chocolate since they came, and after the game I think we have had enough chocolate to last us the rest of the night.

Daughter no 1 works part time as a travel consultant , arranging and sorting out problems for bussiness travelers flying around the world.
The company she works for is on call 24 hrs, and as she works only part time she has to fill in for anyone if they are on holiday etc,
she is only working 4 hours this time and thought as Sofia is only 2 and doesn't really understand what Christmas is about she would fill in for someone, next year Sofia will know what all the fun at Christmas is about so daughter will not be working.

Well time to put the TV on and relax untill I have to get ready for Church tonight,

Probably won't get a chance to come back on so I will say

I think we are getting there.Giblets out after lot of tugging and the turkey is in a washing up bowl in the kitchen .Hopefully it will be ok by tomorrow.

I suppose I will be the last on tonight. Jusr got back from Harveys. Lewis wants us down there for EIGHT in the morning, so will have to be up for about 6.45 am What a long day it will be, but I bet we all drop off after dinner.

Down to Lewis 8. am Opened all the presents. Just having scrambled egg and smoked salmon, and a little drinkie poo. Ready for a sleep already, heaven knows what i will nbe like after dinner.

Just set table and daughter no 2 & boyfriend have arrived . Daughter no 1 phoned to say Merry Christmas she has just arrived home from work and found everyone still fast asleep. much to her surprise. They will be down between 1 and 2 this afternoon.then we can open our presents.

MIL has phoned and BIL phoned ,had a chat with my niece and wished her Happy 21st Birthday,

Better go and help OH with the prawn cocktails.

Just having a little drinkie poo too Frank.Turkey is almost cooked(I hope) then the potatoes and parsnips and trimmings can go in.It will be at least 2 I think before we eat.
Poor Sarah,Hannah's friend slipped on a wet step when they were out last night and cracked the back of her head big time. :-S :-S.She has an egg!.She is in the bath now.I made her promise not to lock the door,and keep sending Hannah up to make sure she is ok.I'm pretty sure she is but you never know with bang on the head.
Kim Sarah's Mum rang and said they were having an Electrical Storm on their farm (Near Sydney).!

I hope our Ann is feeling a bit better today and throat not too sore to enjoy turkey.
