Morning all, from a bright, cold, windy, Northampton. Glad the rain went through the area last night. At least it's dry now.
Kim, Good luck for today, enjoy your DVD, and try not to think to much about the test. <3 <3
Mel, Have you thought of contacting "TRADING STANDARDS" or the local council. To see if they can be of any help. Also if they have taken money I would think of reporting it to the POLICE. and the local press. It will warn other people about the Company.
Your card arrived this morning Anne/Alan thaks very much.
Ros is down the Chapel this morning . Another sale for the Scouts. The children from the local school will be there singing Christmas songs, There is also the coffee morning down there, so should be a jolly time. I said I might walk down later, but somehow I don't think I will.
Mandy, your OH would do a roaring trade if he could "TRAVEL" Porch for Fiona, Solal panels for Mel, and I'm sure othetrs would find him work.He could have renovated Davids Bungalow :-D :-D :-D
No jane this morning ??? Hope she hasn't fallen in the ditch while walking Chester. That wind is a bit strong.
Where's our Liz ???

Had one or two hassles in the last few days so have felt a bit unchatty! no offence meant! Today, am waiting anxiously for the post as Edward's present should have arrived yesterday, but I'm still waiting!! Laura ALWAYS leaves it to the last minute to tell me what the children want, so it is cutting it a bit fine as usual, which I find makes me edgy!! No decs up yet, we always put them up just before Mark's birthday when he was little to try and make it a bit more special for him, and old habits die hard, - this weekend we shall spring in to action! weather AWFUL today, high winds and lashing rain, Millie firmly in her bed, Merlin in his field shelter.

Haveing hailstones at present. Oh has been out on the digger redigging the ditch as the back field is flooded where he filled it in when we took the trees down. The chickens have a stream running through their run and they are paddleing in it!! and drinking it when the hail and rain stops.

Afternoon All,
Thank you for your pretty card Pat......it has joined the other GR ones......quite a little group now!
I bet you were 'podged' afer that fatty meal Kim. Hope the time whizzes by while your tests are done. At least you won't be hungry!! :-D Glad you like the pics we all send. Sometimes I think some of the stuff I send might get a bit boring for some.......then I think they can always just delete it!! Tell Miranda that jewellery made with buttons seems to be taking off here!!
Well, OH said his Xmas dinner at the police HQ was absolutely delicious and he came home 'stuffed'. lol He said they had a quiz between each table. There was a 'clever dick, full of himself' on theirs filling in the answers. He found out after that he hadn't even asked some of the questions, just filled them in and had got the answers wrong!! OH also told him the answer to 4 and he hadn't written them down properly so they lost the points!! eg OH told him the Cape of Good Hope was in South Africa, so he just wrote down Africa.....what a twerp!! They would have won it if OH had filled it in as they only needed 4 extra points. Quizzes are something OH oftens wins at!!
I did have to snigger though when OH told me that when he got there, one of the ladies told him he had no headlight or sidelight one side!!!! Fancy driving in to the police HQ like that!!! lol He is at the garage now, getting a new bulb fitted as it is tricky to do. The last one has lasted longer this time, but for some reason this car gets through quite a few headlight bulbs that side, must be a fault somewhere.
Mel, how fed up you must be with those people. Do you have something in writing from them with fitting dates on? I would definitely seek advice on it as they could well have taken on too much knowing they couldn't hope to complete by the deadline. I don't know whether that might be classed as some form of mis selling. Have a good look at the wording of the contract.
Frank, thank you for the e-mails, one made me smile, the other made me want to be a better person.
Liz, hope your hassles are soon gone. You have a lot on with having just moved and sorting out your new place to be erected and all that goes with it. There is no news about your old neighbour I hope!!
Yesterday, I told OH I want a Wire Whacker and a Wigjig for Xmas. His face was a picture, so he said he thought I'd better get those myself!! lol
Well, more duster twitching for me now and cleaning under the settees and hoovering them..........cuppa first though!!

Oh Liz and Mel, you certainly have the bad weather. It's turned even colder here, and very cloudy. Looks like we might get your weather later.
Forgot to mention this morning, I had a terrible dream last night. Had FLYS crawling down my right ear. I must have poked around in my sleep, and woke up with a very sore ear. Will get Ros to put a drop of oil in it, to see if it easy's it a bit.
Then this morning while ros was out I got showered, and fell of my stool, bashed against the Shower surround but didn't break anything, had to crawl out and pull myself up on the hand basin.
Ros has just returned, They took another £200.00 this morning. The girls were all very pleased with themselves. Sold another two scarves also.
Mel, you will have to buy the chickens, wellington boots or flippers :-D :-D :-D

Had a reminder from the tax man this morning, that I owe him somw money and has to be paid my 31st Jan 2012. He won't get it a minute before. What a sauce taxing my STATE PENSION

No, nothing to do withour old neighbours Ann, thank goodness! just ups and downs with the new build, and Laura's old horse (we've had him since he was 10 months!!) has been diagnosed with 'Cushings'. He's now 23 and has been 'on loan' for a lot of years. The people who currently have him are happy to keep him for a while, BUT?!! Laura wants us to have him. but we really haven't got enough grazing, and also we don't really want to have the hassle of the vet, feeding and in the end the 'DEED'! I foresee another upset; Am rather hoping that the poor thing gets properly ill and that would sort out any arguments!!! At least the 'parcel' has turned up! whew, that's one problem out of the way!!

Shopping all done , putting away is the bit i hate ,and if i let hubby do it i carn't find anything !!!
Hope all has gone well for Kim today , i didn't realise scans can take so long,no wonder they said take a DVD.
Frank , i think hubby would do all the jobs but it's all the traveling :-S lol today he's laying a patio !! he's got lots of jobs to do,a kitchen , two bathrooms some fencing and hopefully a double garage in the new year , work has certainly slowed up ,i think people are really being careful with their money as we all are . Thank you for the ecard ,that was lovely :-) We get lots of those Helicoptors going over ,they are noisy old things ,i think they go into Swanton Morley there's an old camp there.
Ann, i can only think that a Wire Whacker and a Wigjig is to do with your jewelry making ,if not the mind does boggle lol
Right time for a cuppa ,then i've got to marzipan a cake . BBL

HELLO.everyone well I have had dreadful problems getting on here today my first message for ages. I have had to change my email SHIRL had a lot of trouble with my last e mail amd McCaffrey and Sky ,aol . I changed to Google and another security system. Will send you my new E MAIL Address SHIRL how are you do you have lots of snow. I do not have your address for a card so will send you a e mail one when I know what it is have to consult with my computor friend Chris he said my system was rubbish . Not surprised really I am hopeless with computors.
Well when I did get on here have read loads of lovely interesting threads .I am glad my renderings of my friends amuse some of you. The latest news is that Donnies been to see a car and is having refresher lessons to drive it. His driving is dreadful he does not know what exit to take when he goes round a roundabout and suddently exits in front of other cars narrowly missing them. He goes into the chosen exit with a fanfare of hooters all pipping him or rather blasting him. I once had dreadful cramp in my leg with him and Beryl seated at the back of my car and he had to take over the driving which was bad enough but when I got out the car my whole body had seized up with fright . I was not the same for a week and the very mention of his name sent me into a frenzy like shaking fit. Beryl said well Donnie will improve with lessons. That will be if the instructor does not kill him after the first one. You cannot tell him anything he does what he wants in the end.
I once said my car needs cleaning it had bird poop on the roof and he spit on his fingers a few times and rubbed it off. I can see what a car he owns will look like after a few months if he lasts that long. Well you will remember Beryl was in hosital on her first journey on his bike he nearly killed her. Who knows though a miracle may happen.
Beryl and Donnie moved into the larger bedroom Don needs the larger bed because his legs are so long and he does have huge feet. Did anyone see that guy in the paper he took a 21 in shoes and had to have them made in another country well Donnies are huge and he sends for his shoes because his feet are big. Once I went in to take Beryl and Donnie a cup of tea and there was his feet stuck out of the quilt straight up in the air they did look funny I said to Beryl Donnies feet are huge Bell and she hit him on the head and shouted hey doe brain put your feet in the quilt Sheilas laughing at them. I did not stay around to see his reaction I had to get out to stop myself laughing . His slippers are big fat hairy monsters which make me laugh when he comes downstairs. I can see why she loves him because he is different from most men.!!!!
Fancy little Little Mix winning the X factor which they all wanted here and I thought Marcus had a lovely voice though . I could not see it on tv and was in the shop and the two girls came in and lifted me up saying Little Mix won mum the customers thought them bonkers and I was really annoyed. I try to be well behaved in the shop. When Mrs Benton Wood comes in our lone posh customer who thinks shes the queen .She drives a Bentley comes in and says serve me first please I am parked up the road and my car may get vandelised . Once a real yobbish kid was in the shop and said wait your turn grannie I was first. I was just about to say do not be so rude and she landed a slap straight across his face and said do not call me grannie . I gave her the whisky and she dumped the money down and went. The lad just stood holding his face saying she should be locked up that one she is mad. I told my ho and he said serves the perisher right he should be more respectful to older people. But I was shocked I like customers to come in and go out no problem
Maureen I may have missed your thank you for the card so sorry with a screen that was flashing and playing up. Glad it got to you.
DAVID I laughed at you getting paint stuck on your bottom. I once decided to paint a gate bright red and spilt the paint on the concrete and my back was aching so I knelt down and went around with bright red paint stuck on my knees it was summer and I wore shorts .I had to get some white spirit to get it off and it took ages to go. Everyone hated the red gate so my ho painted it boring green. It was so hot I went over to walk the dog with red knees which caused amusement to the students all stretched out on the grass sunbathing so beautiful the girls.
My favourite carol is the Holly and the Ivy.
Mohsen is having a operation on his foot on Friday . He is out of the hospital the same day its keyhole surgery to refill a gap at the top of his foot but he must lie in bed for a week. Michelle said wait till I get him in bed I will tickle his feeet and get my own back for his past behaviour we did laugh poor guy she will find something to do to him .The other day she put loads of salt in a stew he asked her to make and he said it was rubbish when he tasted it and we thought it was lovely so Michelle shook salt in it. Well he ate every bit and said that was ok but not like mine. Shell said too much salt and Mohsen said no it was ok but she put about three tablespoons in it. I said that could give him high blood pressure she said I hoped it would make him spend all night on the toilet ungrateful man. The christmas tree is up all decorated by April a mix match of just about everything. It looks well and truly cluttered but it will do her last year here for a while. Shes got chocolates all named for everyone on the tree and poor nannies got some rubber gloves neatly lying at the bottom no christmas paper poor me plenty of washing up no doubt . I said thank you when she showed me and Jess said thats awful April. Aprils comment well nannie hands are going wrinkly because of all the washing up. I think they are wrinkly due to old age myself.
Bye have a nice day I hope it is not cold like here. Amanda have the floods stopped yet. Have to take Jasper to the vets now his teeth have flared up again after spending 300 pounds earlier in the year with kipple and brushing they should have been ok his gums are black on the one side. It is very annoying I am going to complain.

Evening All Haven't been on here all day! I went off to get new lights for the tree.Got home and realised I should have bought the longer ones :-S So went back again and just got the last box.Picked up a couple of bags of coal on the way home.James had taken off the old lights for me and half the decs had come off :-S.So eventually get the new lights on and everything kind of back to as it should.I think it still needs some tweaking. But it looks decent enough. I then got one of these banging headaches that I haven't been able to shift.Hence the reason for not being chatty today.
Kim I hope all went well today and it wasn't too painful/uncomfortable for you.
Poor Conrad Frank. That must be very unpleasant for him :-(Hopefully that bacterial infection will soon clear and that inflammation in his oesophagus.
I won't hang around now ,but just had to pop in to say Hi.
That blooming wind is rattling around the house with a really cold chill.Batten the hatches again. All the recycling bins are out but should be ok as they are full to the brim so won't get blown around. May be back later ,but if not I'll catch up again tomorrow.

We had the first WET SNOW SHOWER this afternoon, didn't last long.
Jane, Harvey has had the tests !!! Conrad has the split bowel. Neither of them are totally fit.
Mandy, I was only joking, I know how busy you say he is, so thats good at this time of year. There are so many in the building trades, that are only just getting by. Harvey, who is in Landscape gardening, says a lot of people he knows have gone to the wall, No work, means no money. very difficult when you have a family to feed, and as most are self employed. No unenployment benefits.!!!!
Shelia, You seem to have your hadns full with B & D. How long has he had a licence ???

Back from shopping and unpacked.
On the way home from Bideford I was stuck in a traffic jam. Thoguht there had been an accident but the road was flooded and we all had to go over the wrong sideof the raod to get through the shallowist bit. There were loads of police cars and I must have stayed in the jam for at least 25 mins. The water was rushing out onto the road from a fair way up to the flood and Jane will know where it was, just on the pullin bit where all the canoes go from and people fish there too and a refreshment van parks. On the way to Landcross bridge.
Bought my turkey crown today and had to sort out the freezer to get it in there with all the other stuff I have bought.
When I got home oh said he thought it was me about half na hour ago but it was a great big red van and they delivered one small box for the solar thingies who are supposed to be coming to fit the panels tomorrow morning. We are registered with the leccy company for the high tariff. Watch this space to see if they do arrive tomorow :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-|
