Evening All Back now from seeing Hannah .It was a lovely few hours.Chris wasn't needed to put the bookcase together as Hannah's friend's fiancee is going to do it. We had a potter around the local shops and Memorial Pk,then visited a little Xmas Market.I only bought a couple of bits and bobs. Then a late lunch in the restaurant below her flat. She told us that she has met someone :-D :-D :-D :-D called John ....little devil has kept that quiet for 2 months :-| I am really pleased for her and hope it works out.She deserves someone nice.I didn't like to ask when we would have the pleasure of meeting him.I will just be patient and she will do it in her own time .
Sheila ,James is now home after graduating and chasing jobs...not an easy thing :-S.He applied for 20 the other day !.
I'll probably pop back in a bit. Thanks Mel for the card, and Shirl I can't believe how quick yours arrived :-0

One thing today that I noticed ,were lots of people carrying Xmas trees along the pavements. One even on a little wheelie trolley. They were buying them from the grocers, wholefood, and Butchers shops. It made me realise how easy it is for me just to pop along to the garden centre and bung one in the car,and drive right up to the front door.It actually made me start to feel Christmasy :-D :-D All you talking about going in the loft to get decs, made me remind Chris he must do that tomorrow.I never remember what I have. Fitz will be having an 11foot tree(he wanted a 12ft one ,but I think was too late to reserve one.I know last year I was going to get a pic to send you all. This year I must remember as their tree is usually fantastic.I think he said this years tree is £120 :-S :-S.I will balk at paying £40 lol

Well I never knew you could do that David. I wonder if Mel will try it. I have had a go at some of the online typing lessons too and am ok with the top 2 lines only!! lol
Glad you had a nice time Jane. I bet Hannah will be taking things a bit cautiously with her new man after past experience. I remember sitting outside a boyfriend's (became first OH) house in his car while he popped in to get something he'd forgotten a few months after we started seeing each other. Out rushed his mum to introduce herself and I was petrified, mortified and overwhelmed as I thought she'd expect us to get married and we hardly knew each other!! She was a lovely lady though and very kind. She was always making peppermint creams and would trot off to visit anyone who was ill in the village with a bag of them in her handbag!! lol
I went to a garden centre today that was near a Christmas Tree Farm. You pass several fields of baby Christmas Trees on the way there. I often wonder if any get 'pinched' this time of the year!! They had put big concrete blocks in the gate opening to stop anyone driving a vehicle in to help themselves. Yes, we forget that not everyone is near a garden centre as you say Jane. It must be quite a novelty for shopkeepers trundling them inside the shop at night.
I hope they do another series of Garrow's Law, Liz. Women were just 'goods' to be owned in those times weren't they.
Well, I'm off to bed now, OH has already gone. Night, night xx

Hello everyone,
Managed to get the tree up last night and I have been writing a few more cards today. We have a Christmas Shop at Erina so I will get OH to pop in there and have a look for a new front door wreath. I would really like a nice tablecloth too and some matching napkins.
Daughter is turning 17 on 12/12, so gave her $200 to spend on some nice clothes. Well she came home with clothes and a dress the boyfriend didn't approve of - too revealing. I wasn't very impressed either. She will learn one of these days.
Weather here is attrocious, just like winter with rain and wind.
Joel has finished his course last week and now it's job hunting time. What an eye-opener that will be!!!!
Jane glad you had a nice day with Hannah. You will have a lovely Christmas when she comes to visit with her Aussie friend. I wonder if the new man will come too??? How is Chester - you said he was a bit wobbly at the rear end. Poor old fella.
Sad news for our area. Some morons have burnt down Alison Homestead which is one of our very historical homes in the area. Totally destroyed and history lost for ever. Makes you feel sick. I hope they catch the b******s.
Off to watch the news now. I will catch up later. Cheers.

Morning Kim and All,
I had typed loads and then lost the lot!!
Dull and dreary here today.
Nobody turned up yesterday and they were due to fit the panels tomorrow. Well they won't get up on the roof with no scaffolding up!!
Jane so nice to think Hannah has found someone new. I hope this one appreciates her.
I am sitting here with a small string of 15 berry lights round my screen. I bought two sets and they run by batteries. I have rechargables in them. Trying to get into the Christmas spirit.
I don't need to learn to type as I did it at school. Thats what pi**es oh of when he tries to use my keyboard. I know where all the keys are you see. I can still remember the teacher saying asdf 'lkj and we had to type pages of it then adding the g and h on that line.

Aren't you the lucky ones being able to type without looking at the keys. I can only type with the index finger on my LEFT HAND. That's why I get annoyed when I loose my postings.
Morning you lot,
Don't think I told you we were coming to Conrad and Jans. We arrived for BRUN CH yresterday morning/lunchtime. The girls went out "SHOPPING" how unusual!!!
Conrad and I sat listning to Rugby and football results.
We had an Indian Takeaway last night. I couldn't eat any of mine, I feft so sick. Was all tucked up in bed by 10pm reading my book. Sleept till 9am. Sitting in the lounge now with cups of tea, in my dressing gown. I think my Kidneys are playing up again, lots of pain in the bottom of my back.
All our decorations and tree are in big plastic box's in the garage. I bet I will be getting them all in this week. Ros wil rearrange the furniture to get the tree in postion "AND THEN THE FIGHT BEGINS" -D :-D
See Jane, You don'y know everything the children get up too. Good on Hannah, as you say lets hope this one is better.Early DAYS
Conrad has a Christmas tree farm close by, It's where all the cables keep getting pinched. So no doubt he will pop round there for his tree.
Kim, It is terrible what these YOBS do. Do they not realise that History can't be replaced.
Mel, I am smiling, thinking of the men turning up with the panels, and nowhere to put them. They are cutting it fine aren't they ???
Friday afternoon the Scouts fund was incrreased by another £175.00 from as sale in a schools staff room. during the teachers break !!!! getting in everywhere now :-D :-D :-D :-D Don't nod your head or you have bought another scarfe LOL LOL
Off for a shower, and get dressed. See hyou all later.

What time you you call this I hear you say.No I haven't just got up.I have been fighting through the rabble in Tes** :-S.Golly it was busy.I bought a Frozen Bronze Turkey. It was half price :-DHave never had a Bronze before. The only thing is I don't really think it is big enough so I may buy a crown as well just in case.Got my gammon and Pork loin.So that is the meat sorted.I have a massive joint of beef already .
Kim how awful to lose a piece of history like that.I just don't understand why people have to do this sort of thing. Is it difficult to find jobs where you are.It is nigh impossible here :-S :-SI feel so sorry for the young people. It is so demoralizing for them to get rejection after rejection.
Mel I think I would be really cheesed off now not having the scaffolding up and ready to fit those panels Have you heard anything from the men who were supposed to have come?
Lol Frank ,I will be moving the furniture around next weekend for the tree. Then we all get grumpy as the tree won't be quite straight and the lights will be all tangled up.Chris will waltz off and leave it to me :-S.At least James is home this year to give me a hand.Oh what a wonderful time of year .Glad tidings and all that jazz :-D :-D. I hope your kidneys settle down and don't cause you trouble of the festive season Frank. It probably one of those dratted stones stuck somewhere along the line.
Yes I think it lovely for Hannah to finally have a 'Beau' ;-).There's an old fashioned word.He is a Management Consultant in Health Care.So has a few more brian cells than the last one lol.I reckon it wlll be some time before she brings him here.I did promise I wouldn't be to nosy and give him the 3rd degree lol.I would be on best behaviour.
I think the fire will be lit again this afternoon.I have snoring Norman crashed out on the floor beside me.LIke I said yesterday he does seem to be showing his age now.
2 sittings for roast today.James is having Chicken ,roast pots etc, soon ,and then Chris and I are having Lamb much later. Being called by OH .Something to do with accounts!!!!!!!!!!.I wonder what I have bought and haven't told him about :-S

We have had a few snow showers today , OH went out on his bike but came back after being caught in a blizzard, was only out for 1 hour, gave up and is now in the back garden cutting back bushes so the men can get to pull down the porch tomorrow if they turn up. as the electric man has not appeared yet to sort out the electrics ,

Afternoon everyone,
Feels really cold today ,i think its the wind , son and DIL came with the little ones and we all had a walk into town, bought some wrapping paper for wrapping Katie's birthday presents ,we have bought her a pair of winter boats, some clothes and one of those drawing boards as she now loves getting hold of the crayons !! i have to watch what she draws on as she'll try and draw in the reading books instead of the coloring books. Bought some nice Sausage rolls for lunch ,they were still warm when we got home, so they went down a treat with a nice cuppa.
We were having roast chicken today for tea ,but i'am now cooking it so that we can have it cold tomorrow as son and family are coming for tea ,son wants to be here when the S*y man comes tomorrow afternoon .
Jane, that's lovely news that Hannah has meet someone , glad you enjoyed your day with her .
Mel, the men putting the panels up won't be very happy will they if the come and carn't get on because there's no scaffolding ,they'll probably both turn up together !!!
I've been looking for my Christmas card list , i don't know where i've put it , i usually have it in a box where the cards left over from last year are kept ,but it's not in there ,i will now have to sit and write out a new one , i just hope i can remember them all.
Snow !!! Blizzards !!! oh dear, it sounds as if winter is really on its way Fiona.
Better have a look in the oven the chickens smelling good !!

Well spotted Frank ....my spelling mistake lol I just had to scroll back to see it. I think Mandy has had a spelling mishap too ....winter boats ??.lol It's just so easy to hit the wrong key.All the letters are clear to see on my keyboard, there is no wear on them at all.The only wear and tear are my poor nails.I keep wondering why they keep breaking and it is the tapping on the keys that does it.
Fitz has gone .We have both signed his Mothers will.Couldn't make out her signature at all :-S.She wrote it in thick felt tip pen (so she could see what she was doing) Chris just got me to sample the Damson Gin and Sloe Gin.The Damson is delicious, but the sloe I think needs a little more sugar.

Frank if you type Jacqui Lawson on Google, you will be able to get onto the Animated Card site you're after. The cards are brilliant, and I think she has brought out some new ones for Xmas. Kim, that act of vandalism is quite awful, I've been reading about it on site, and words fail me, mind you if people can start bush fires deliberately, both in Australia and anywhere else, what hope is there for these people?! the trouble is Frank, they simply don't care about history, they are just sick in the head and should be locked up with the key thrown away! Rant over!!! Saw the Panda's land, It would be lovely if they DO manage to 'start a family'!!!

portablenorthpole tv this is a good site ,you can have a message ,with the child's name sent from Santa , i did this last year for the little ones ,they loved seeing Santa talking to them .
