Hi Julie, nice to see you.
I think I was more relieved than anything Mandy. I thought I would be ticking ALL the wrong boxes!! That is the end of the tests for this year, but I do it all again for the last time in 12 months. I have felt very weary some days lately, can't be bothered to do much!! lol Thank goodness I haven't any appointments tomorrow. lol
Sheila I'm not ill. I volunteered for a research study for people at risk of diabetes. They have taken a group of patients, given half support and education to try and reduce their risk (I'm not in this group!) and are doing various measurements/tests on all of us once a year for 3 years. The study is looking at whether putting resources in to help people will be successful in reducing the number who develop diabetes.
Yes, I did see Andre on Strictly, he was also on the Alan Tit*hmarsh show the other week too!! I have the details and OH wants me to book up for the NEC in December next year!!!
Yes, Maureen, that is me aged 11 with my 2 year old sister. I had recently had my pigtails cut off (under protest!!) for going to senior school. I think my dress in that photo was one mum got at a jumble sale.
Shirl, that is quite a bit of snow........hope you have plenty of logs and food in your cabin!! Have they forecast more snow?

Morning All,
Left the washing out all night as it was'nt dry and it is ok this morning. We have sunshine at the mo so I think I must load the washing machine again.
Have to clean windows today as the sunshine shows how dirty they are and with the men coming to do the panels I don't want them to see them dirty.
OH rang from ringing last night to say the pub was doing fish and chips takeaway and did I want any? I had just had my two boiled eggs when he rang!! Anyway I said yes as he was treating me. I gave him most of my chips. It was'nt bad acrually and yes I would have it again. It was'nt frozen fish which was nice. The pub up the road does it but that is frozen fish and it's horrid.

Morning Mel
Glad you have the sun. it's raining and very windy here AGAIN
Just going to wrap a few Christmas presents up today, and do a bit of dusting , can't use the hoover yet, so will sweep using the big brush and dustpan. My windows are all Sofia's fingerprints but are not that noticeable especially cos it's raining , I will leave them and then clean them before i start putting up the Christmas decorations at the beginning of December. There's no point doing the windows outside when it's so wet.
Time to put the kettle on BBL

Morning Mel I do like a bit of F&C.Haven't had it for ages now.Everytime Mandy says she has had Fish and Chips I think, right we must have some too.But somehow we never do.When I was little ,we lived too far from a fish and Chip shop :-(.But then one year a F&C Van would come to the village and Park up by the Post Office. It was so exciting lol.The queue seemed to go on for miles, and boy was it tasty.............I'm making my mouth water now :-S
James is off to Canterbury for a few days to see Jess,so I am going to nip out now and get some food for him to take down .Good old Mum :-D :-D

Just come back from the Nurse,Pneumonia jab, and ear inspection!! Made an appointment for next Friday to have ears syringed as they are VERY waxy particularly the left one! have to put oil in for 5 days, so musn't forget! The Post Office and shop have moved into bigger premises over the road from where they were, and are now a pretty fair sized super-market which should prove very useful; had a free(!) mince pie, and a good look round, and was well impressed. MUST finish those Xmas Cards, just can't seem to get motivated!

HI well I am having a relaxing morning. The sun is shining and I have just taken Mat for a walk in the stroller. He was the centre of attention.
Beryl arrived with her latest man.I do not like him much after meeting him he seems full of illnesses what is a matter with Beryl.
Well the only thing I purchased in London was a new handbag mine was well on its way to the rubbish bin. What a price I paid for it my ho went mad but I said I do not buy myself much. People were staring at me along Oxford street it was lunch time and it was packed full of posh work force people. All in smart suits. i noticed April skipped everywhere.I had plasters stuck everywhere I must have looked strange.
It was a busy day Jane but nice to get away from round this mad area and be normal. ha ha told my ho the Weetabix factory is near you Jane He laughed. He loves his Weetabix. I think I would have put something on my chair if someone was bleeding Jane . Amanda I would love to go to London and have a good spend could think of lots of things to buy saw lots of things I fancied.
Annx lucky you going to see Andre again my ho will be envious. Wish he would have a spend and take me. I think he wastes his life being a shopkeeper at his age.
The diabetic reasearch sounds interesting being a case myself. But doing well with my diets and seing all those cream cakes and things in a shop in London did not help. I settled for a luxery crab salad But found the luxery bit was a horseradish relish still it was very nice.
My friend at school had lovely long pigtails and one day her brother got hold of her and cut them off with his pen knife for spite. The poor girl came to school with really short hair. I watched a film about Natalie Wood the film actress and she was dominated by her mother when young and to spite her mum one day cut her pigtails off and her mother who was Russion and she called Mudd went beserk the poor girl had a rough childhood.I loved her when she was small watching her in films.
I have a few things lined up.I am going to see the Snowman and Grease and a panto all before April goes and you are right I shall miss April and the family being my only granchildren. But thats life.
Mel I had two boiled eggs for breakfast. Done by my ho who gets them boiled to perfection.Just right. Beryl and her chap arrived I said do you want breakfast we are having eggs and he said they give me wind. I said to Beryl why dont you pick someone normal.Beryls comment he does have a car Sheila.
Fiona your dinner sounded lovely and it is great you can now enjoy your food.My tablets for my diabetes give me acid and I have to reach for the Gaveston tablets sometimes. Sofia s bag sounds very pretty.
I had a invatation to visit the studio for the Alan Titchmarsh show but lost it would you believe I think it got thrown out in the rubbish.I wrote to him at a address I had about a garden problem and got a letter back with the invatation I was stupid to loose it.
Everyones photoes are very nice. I must change mine do not have very many I do not take a lot of photoes I forget they are in the camera have about three films need developing. At seventy three do not like my picture taken.
Sorry if I get the wrong end of the things you are doing sometimes but my computors been dreadful since April messed with it and the reception from Genes is so bad sometimes I think it is the Sky also my computor goes off and sticks it is cronic.
I was looking up a soldier friend of my dads who was driving tanks in Italy during the war his name was Leonard Perkins and I found his details and he had a sister Katie and tracked down her in laws when she married she had five children who all died in 1956 in a house fire in Tamworth. Four were small babies.
Well will go and get ready to go to the shops must try to drive after my fall I got nervy. Have been out and was awful I was shaking. Then got a parking ticket . I was over the white line this time The guy was waiting for me. They do like there job .I was rushed to get to the post office and was not too careful.

My ho was reading my thread over my shoulder and he was remarking about my bad grammer .The bit where I stated Fionas dinner sounded lovely and a few more things I got a ticking off and he asked me if I am going mad because I put the coffee in the fridge and the fridge bags in the bread bin. Must be the fall or perhaps iiam loosing it at seventy three.
The other day a man bought a bottle of whisky and I put a bottle of lemonade in his bag. He had to come back and was not very happy with me .I said sorry I have just had a fall and hit my head and he said .Well thats the best excuse I have heard for cheating customers I could have killed him. I looked like a war zone so he could have been nicer.

Traffic Warden ,that's not a job I would do at any price Sheila, they must get commission on the tickets they dish out.
I had a great time shopping with my daughter in London too. did you go into Selfridges their christmas decorations are so pretty and John Lewis, think we may have been in the same shop for lunch, at the front they have a massive display of gateaux, cream cakes and novelty cakes in the shapes of santa, reindeers, christmas trees, and marzipan cakes, I had to shut my eyes and make for the door.
Lovely and bright and sunny so I will make the most of the light and see if I can do some christmas cards.

Fiona ,we have full gas central heating, but the open fire is nice to have just to cheer the place up when it is dark and dismal, and when it is really cold to top up the heat.We have 2 radiators in the lounge ,but to be honest they aren't enough. It is a large room and a few of the windows need a bit of seeing to as the seals have gone. They will all have to wait until Chris retires in 2013 to be replaced.
OMG You should see all the stuff Chris has bought today......no wonder he is broke. My 2 big plastic boxes in the garage are stuffed now .He seems to think we all love Twiglets !!!!.I mustn't complain though as he has got some nice bits and bobs.Plus some nice Bottles :-D :-D

Evening everyone,
It's been a lovely sunny day here , went to a garden centre with DIL and Katie, the Christmas decorations were beautiful, all you needed was plenty of money !!
Thanks for letting us know about Kim Shirl, hope she'll feel better soon so she doesn't end up in hospital again.
David what a shame Ellen carn't settle in your new home , perhaps when all the work has been done, and the workman have gone she will feel better and it will feel like home again, you've had so much work done inside and out it would be a shame to up sticks again .
Bought some Christmas cards and three big bags for the little ones presents today in our stationary shop that has been in the town for years and years, it was taken over by the c*-op a few years ago ,they have now decided that its not paying and it will close just before Christmas, its such a shame, that will be another empty shop in the town.
