Frank ,the broken key was nothing to do with me.It was Chris :-|
Just got back with a new one.It took a while for the chap to find the right one to cut.I must try it now and see if it works.

Good job it was the bed you fell on.Did you have a little lie down then, seeing as you were there :-D.Take it easy now young man.

Ooooh Snow Shirl. How deep?I quite fancy seeing a little snow.it would help to get in the Christmas mood.

I think I am going to light the fire instead of putting the heating back on.and then I will crack on with my cards.

Hi I'm back eating my sarnies as I sit at the computer,
great to get out,
wow Shirl snow, sorry Jane I don't want it yet I have only just started getting out it's to soon to be trapped in again LOL

Do you know, I can't get back to drinking coffee, the taste is too strong for me so I am sticking to hot chocolate.

Take it easy Frank, we don't want you having any accidents.

Thanks Folks for daughters birthday wishes,

Afternoon everyone,

We had the most beautiful sun rise this morning ,the whole sky had a pink glow to it , when i looked out the window about six this morning it was quite foggy ,so i was surprised to see how clear it was about half an hour later .

I take it the stamps haven't turned up yet then Frank :-S yes got your jokes thanks and i loved the Isle of Wight one :-D

That must have been a heck of a turn to snap the key like that , hubby had to fit a new back door handle last week as the spring bit had broken ,i'am not to keen on this new handle he's fitted ,the edges seem sharp when you get hold of it .

I really should write my Christmas cards ,or make my cakes but i just don't feel in the mind today , in fact i don't feel like doing anything , i feel right tired and grumpy :-S

I went shopping with good intentions ,thought i would get some bits for DIL, when blow me there she was ,and she said i'll come round the shops with you and come back for coffee!!! so that put payed to my shopping for Christmas bits for her .

Happy birthday to your daughter Fiona .

Think i'll make a coffee and have five minutes with my book.
BBL hopefully in a better frame of mind lol

MANDY, Did you get out of the wrong side of the bed this morning. :-| :-| :-|

We have given up looking for the stamps, even though I still pick things up and look under, to see if they have appeared. :-D :-D :-D

Poor old Chris. He gets blamed for everything when he's not around to defend himself ;-) ;-)

Went out to the dustbin earlier, It is so cold and damp out there.

Have just noticed, where the leaves have come off the Cherry tree I can see a doves old nest. I didn't even know that was there, even though I found an egg shell under the tree. in the spring. Shows how they can hide. :-) :-)

Afternoon All,

You sound quite chirpy now Fiona, getting back to normal. It must have been nice meeting up with your friends for a chat again......fancy,after all that time missing coffee, now it seems a bit strong!! lol Happy Birthday to your daughter.

I love all the emails, yes chuckled at the IOW one too Frank! lol I had some Venison pie years ago and enjoyed it, pity Ros wasn't keen. Did you get out of bed a bit quick this morning, that can make you dizzy? At least you had a soft landing, better than outside. Just be careful won't you.

Jane, we have a bent key and I am frightened it will break off in the lock one day. It was lucky Chris got it out. I think I might get another cut and chuck the bent one away!

How is the roof repair going Mel and did your OH manage tofinish the garage??

Shirl......SNOW........my word you need your snow boots over there don't you!! I hope we don't get any just yet.

It was an interesting experience at the hospital this morning. Luckily the scanner wasn't a closed in one and didn't make a clatter. It was funny not having a bra on as I thought it would save faff getting undressed only you can have no metal on your clothes or you have to strip off and put a gown on. I told OH.....NO Dim*ock jokes or else!! The results of the scan were very interesting and show your bone density, lean muscle and fat for each bit of you. Literally for each arm, leg etc!! I had been concerned about bone density. With trying to control weight I don't eat a lot of cheese or drink a lot of milk and have little oestrogen protection having no ovaries. My score on that came out better than average so that was good. I thought the 'fat' results would be really bad, but although it is too high and I need to lose some, I am not carrying huge amounts internally around my middle where it is most unhealthy. He told me some thin people have more internal fat which surprised me. Muscle amount was good, so all in all quite a relief things weren't worse. I just need to take off the fat overcoat I'm wearing now!! If only it were that easy!!

The film we are seeing this afternoon is The Ides of March. It has George Clooney in it and not Brad Pitt like I said before.

I liked the Irish joke Frank.

Lots to do so will be back later. <3

Afternoon everyone,
MilliemollyAmanda Oh dear looking at your last post I feel YET AGAIN so disorganised. There is you talking about writing Christmas cards and I have hardly started my Christmas shopping. In my head every year I vow to be far better organised than the last but ............lol
I certainly do not take after my mum. As kids Christmas I always remember as so organised and fantastic not a fluster anywhere from my mum. Oh her stuffing recipe was the best and she has graciously handed it down to me :-) . As big as my kids are, only one in teens now I still like to do all the santa fun stuff. I can use the excuse of my grandkids too.

Hi Julie it's not us it's just that Christmas starts earlier each year, well that's my excuse anyway. Goodness knows how I'd cope if I had to do all the food shopping and cooking too, that's the best thing about grown up kids we can always go to theirs for Christmas, can't remember the last time I cooked Christmas dinner.

Snow already Shirl. Didn't we have snow early last year, hope it's not going to be as cold this year.

Hi Julie,I never remember my Mum panicking either at Christmas But maybe behind the scenes she was loI reckon Dad kept me and my sister out of the way during a lot of preparations.I feel quite ashamed to think how little actual cooking I do leading up to Xmas compared with what Mum did.But it is so easy to buy things now.It has made me lazy :-S :-S

Ann ,it sounds as though came through all that really well and are quite fit.Well done you.

I'm sure there was something I wanted to say,but I'm blowed if I can think what it.

Shirl Thanks for your pic.You have had a fair bit of snow haven't you.

Just caught up with your posts.

Happy Birthday to Fiona's number one daughter. Wissh I was 31 again........... I am double that :-(

Hi to Julie, nice to see you again :-)

Thanks to Shirl for the snow picture. I hope you don't get snowed in before Christmas.

Only oh and I hear for Christmas now. I really missed mum last year and will again this year. She was the biggest kid going at Christmastime. I also miss try8ing to find little pressies for her as that was always a challenge. I only have oh to buy for now and he is a challenge in his self :-|

Mandy I know what you mean about not wanting to do anything as I have days like that. I am trying to get motivated at the mo and get certain jobs done.

We should hear by Friday about the solar panels.

Jane

Jane Report 23 Nov 2011 17:30

Oh rude of me .I forgot to say Happy Birthday to your Daughter Fiona.Sorry :-S

I have ordered a couple of pressies on line today.I am still stumped though as to what to get James.I do know that Chris has ordered a Kindle each for Hannah and James.

Mel you do like your crumpets don't you.Does your OH enjoy crumpet too? ;-)
A crumpet has to be dripping in butter,so it all seeps through the bottom .Oh I quite fancy one myself now lol.
Spag Bol tonight for Chris and me.

Chester has been really weird today.I can't work out why.Maybe he is going a bit doolally in his old age :-S

Hi everyone how is everybody I have just come back from a shopping spree in London with Jessica and April she loved it we went in some beautiful toy shops and April purchased two lovely dolls cost her mum a fortune and said Jessica .April I will have to pack those up when we leave please do not ask for anything else. Aprils eyes were everywhere Jessica had to force her out of dress dept she saw some bright royal blue trousers and some doc martyns or is it martins well Jessica took one look at the price and said no but that child ended up with both. Grandads comment that kids spoilt rotton .I say nothing. I know what its like to be young and want things. But poor Ryan s struggling at the moment.

Well I thought I sent a message with all the info about them moving maybe you missed it with my coming and going like a yoyo.

Jessica is moving at the end of Feb to Long Beach to Beech Street a rented property will send you a picture by e mail to those who have asked about Jess and the family thank you. Ryan is going to work for Hasleware Consulting Service Supplies in New York he is looking forward to it. Jessica is a bit nervous of the move but will settle I dare say the house is cute and near a beach. Luxery I call it. April is going to a school Newsday comp .

April at the moment is attending a centre here in Birmingham for day tutuition it costs 15 per week and made up of retired teachers. I had a french record shoved away for ages I got it out and she walks round saying Bonjour madame comprenie vous petite pois .I laugh she is a card when Jess tests her she cannot remember a thing and she developes a headache.

My mouth is the worse now of my cuts and I have a very painful wrist.
Thank you for your kind wishes and comments. Mell thank you I have been taking it easy My friend from Stratford upon avon came and she insisted I do nothing. My ho comments he enjoyed having a bit of posh in the house. Talking about posh my ho s elder sister arrived on the scene
Francis called Betty to inform us Neville had died which we knew and she is such a snob. When she sat down she placed her scarve on the chair and said I fear I might get germs from the dogs. My ho said hey Bet do you remember when you entered a beauty pageant when seventeen and you trooped across the stage and your heel broke and you fell over on your ass. excuse the expression. Betty said no I dont Leslie that was not me. My ho said it was you were a right snobby moo. We all looked at each other and April said moo as in cow oh Bet how funny. Jessica pushed her out the room. We did laugh when she had gone. She told everybody when young my mum in law was there cleaner such a snobby women Betty. Jessica said April you do not call elder people Bet you do not know her very well. April missed the point and said well what do I call her then mummy silly moo.

I thought Beryl was joking when she said this new guy fell over the hare at the greyhound racing track but he did someone set it running while he was doing something and sent him bowling along for several yards breaking his leg he was telling me. Beryl came to see me after my fall with Cassie and Elvira and she was crying over he loss of Donnie .I
did the talking bit trying to tell her he might be back and after all the weeping and wailing she said I dont want him back. The latest one seems to have a wind problem not as in gusto she says .Anyway me I think I prefere my ho he is not a bit romantic and so droll but at least he functions in a normal way. Someone came in the shop and said to him I have bought some Weetabix made by www Weetabix and it was green
have you had any. My ho said yes yesterday mine was ok. well to prove his point he fetched our new packet and opened in the shop it was fine and he said to this man sure you do not need new specks mate .The man
said do not be so rude .My ho was the perfect gentleman he said here mate take our packet no charge if it turns green let me know. There was a few chuckles from a couple well the only customers that evening.
we do see life with this shop.

I have been working to get some money for our trip to the States and making cards for some of you for Christmas and some friends but have not had much time with little Max he is into everything last night he got hold of teddie the dog, little hands popping out of the play pen and held on to his fur so tight Teddy was growling away and now is restricted with Jasper into the dinning room. The little soul Mat was saying ta ta and Jess was over the moon.

Fiona glad you are ok now and looking forward to Christmas.

Mel your kind thoughts did me good in true fairy godmother style.
Jane the fall knocked the stuffing out of me. My face was a mess,

Kim how are you did want to send you a text but been unable to get on the computor for various reasons. my nephews just moved to Frankston to work he left his family and is not popular with his mum and dad.
I have just watched a film called they were Sisters a lovely old film with James Mason Phylis Calvert and the lovely Dulcie Grey who I met at the BBC when she was in Howards Way. it was filmed in 1946 .Mohsen who returned the week end commented how lovely the fashions were then. I was surprised really he noticed. He was micky taking because the children talked so posh he was walking round saying Oh really darling.
It was about a family and James Mason played the rotton husband.
Well will tootle off and go and take my glucose level sugar thingy I hate the prick on my fingure makes me jump everytime.
Maureen shopping in London how lovely I wish I was there more often I did enjoy my day. How is the business going with your son.
Frank how s Ross and yourself.
Kim take care hope the family are ok. Shirl I love snow but not the cold
and you must have plenty. Mohsens brother is moving to your country
with a work scheme if the govenment in Tunisia allow him to .Mohsen had a bad time when he went home it rained flooded and out came the rats
and there were millions of foreign folk and lamb was 15pound for a small
piece. Holiday makers had to stay in the hotels. Michelle said well stop going and be a husband for a change. That went down well.

i do miss Matty he set such lovely standards for April shes been good but
she misses him and last night said I know Im naughty gramps but I miss
daddy and will try and shes been a lot better.I try not to get her too excited
and change the subject when we get the American jargon. She will get plenty of that and I wont know her.

Annx are you ill having had tests or did I miss read.
Did you see Andrie Rea bet I have spelt it wrong on Come Dancing.
Hope you ok Amanda and the doggie Jane hows your dog now.

Julie nice to see another new name.
Bye have a nice evening.

David hope Ralph is ok now no gal stones we dont want him to suffer
like Fiona my Les years ago. There was a girl of thirteen killed on a crossing with her bike in Kings Heath people were still placing flowers
so April did when out with Jess.

Jane

Jane Report 23 Nov 2011 18:10

I bet you are exhausted Sheila after shopping in London. You will really miss Jess and the Children when they move to the USA.But I hope it will be a good thing for them.Im sure they will have a wonderful life there.A new start after the dreadful sadness of losing Matt.
I would be most offended if someone put a scarf down on one of my chairs before they sat down :-S
Saying that ...some years ago I brought a man back to my house after he had turned his Landrover over at the top of the road as he had a nasty cut on his head .He wasn't too clean ,and I had just had my new 3 piece suite delivered.I had to put a towel on the chair before he sat down lol.He had been Rat Catching with his dogs somewhere(that was his job).I felt awful having to do that ,but I couldn't have the chance of him bleeding all over my new chair.

The Weetabix Factory is just about half a mile from me Sheila.I will see if they do Green Weetabix ;-) ;-).I do see they make Chocolate ones now.

Crikey I have just seen the time.I had better make a start on the dinner.
