Been out helping oh this afternoon and holding the ladder when he was going up and then he went and crawled up the roof. Cemented the top tiles on and put all the gutter back on the left side as you look at the bungalow. He pulled the tarp back over till the cement dries.
Tomorrow we have someone coming to look at our roof as we are thinking of haveing solar panels and they reckon they can fit them before 12th Dec when the tariff goes down.
sheila it is so nice to hear from you again. You are a naughty girl getting yourself in a bad way again. I do hope you feel better soon and that your face heals quickly. Now look after yourself please!! Take it easy and let the others do the work for a while.
Jane a lovely butcher, thanks. The man in Holsworthy dos'nt have the pig out always now only on special occasions as he dos'nt want it broken again. I also mended all the chips on its feet and ears.
have'nt been to Okehampton for ages but if I do go I will see if the big pig is still there and get a picture. I like to go about Christmastime to look at the shops, and go to Lidl for a Christmas pud. they are lovely from there and very reasonable.
Had 9 and a half eggs today and a broken one.

Oh I didn't see your post Jane and sent you an EM to say the same!! I read it on Wikipedia, had forgotten how it ended!
The roof repair will soon be done by the sound of it Mel. I was quite interested in those panels, but the biggest areas of our roof face the wrong way so they wouldn't get enough sun. Good you can get the benefit of the feed in tarriff before they change it. They have started building some new houses with them on around here.
Off to bed now and an early start tomorrow as OH wants me to go with him for brekkie at Sains*urys before he goes to Blythe for the match.
Another mouse in the trap today!
Night night ....xx....

Morning and its another sunny one. Washing on the line already.
How is everyone today. Not so achy I hope.
Getting on quite well with my ciggy thingy and so is oh which is really good.
Could'nt go to sleep last night and then kept waking. I think it could have been something to do with the child on CIN who had menangitis and lost his arms and legs. There were pictures of him in hosp when he had the bad rash. It brought tears to the eye. That sickness is an awful thing..........................
What about Matt Baker riding that ricshaw from Scotland. Raised over a million.

Morning All Morning Mel
Sunny here at the moment,Next door neighbour is out sweeping his path clearing up the leaves, and OH is fixing his road bike, I am hoping to get out for a run in the car this afternoon, I have managed to wrap a T towel round my middle and have put on tights and a pair of comfy trousers, keeping fingers crossed they don't bother me too much.
I'm going to make myself a milky coffee , looking forward to the taste. BBL

Morning All,
Well it is a bit foggy here and was only 5 degrees at 7.30.am according to the car. I have run a few errands and I'm in for the day now.
I must have a run by the farm we get our christmas turkey from tomorrow as they hadn't got their sign out yet up to last week. I hope they haven't stopped doing them!! :-S :-S OH is awful every time we drive by. Keeps saying things like 'I bet he's really looking forward to christmas with us!!' I've told him it will be nut roast if he doesn't stop it!! lol
That's a good idea to pad yourself up so you can wear some comfy trousers Fiona. A change of scene will do you good even if you only have a short trip. You will feel you are getting back to normal again. I bet it is nice being able to have a milky coffee again too!
It's really good you are both getting on with your ciggies Mel. It must be easier with you giving up together. I hope you can stick with it as it will be worth it.
I have only got 1 small pack of cards up to now. I can't believe we will be getting the decs down from the loft in a couple of weeks!! I have usually bought all the things like pickles by now but haven't got any this year as yet. I think it is time I got my christmas head on and got cracking.
A few HW jobs next I think.......easier with OH not here! lol

Afternoon all,
PANIC here. Ros went to P.O. and bought £30.00 of Christmas stamps for the cards, SHE CAN'T FIND THEM. She showed them to me and from then on, they have dissapeared. I have had the Paper waste bin out but no sign. Will have to go through the household rubbish next. EH rotten smelly job. She has searched everywhere, and I keep looking in draws and cupboards.
Conrad and Jan are coming to us tomorrow so they can check on Emails, from clients, and any business that they might have missed over the last few days.
Ann I think I would get along with your OH. my sense of humour !! Made me smile about the Turkey. :-D :-D :-D
Good old Mel and OH could be two less smokers before Christmas. and the roof repaired.
Mandy, I see Dereham was on the Local news last night, But can't think what about. MY BRAIN :-0 :-0 :-0
Ros is out shopping with Martine. The new patches she is on are a great improvement, she was able to stand and do two hours ironing without having to keep sitting down.
Will go and find some rubber gloves and sort through the bin. Can't afford to throw £30.00 away MORE EXPENCE.

Afternoon everyone,
Nice and sunny here again , had a lazy day so far ,went to Bo*ts to get the tablets ,mine were there ,not hubby's , i think because he wanted some thing added to his prescription they have forgotten to send it down to Bo*ts ,will have to ring up about it on Monday , good job he has some tablets to be going on with.
Your right Mel, Matt did really well with his rickshaw ride , bet he had a sore back side at the end !! but he raised a good sum of money !!
That was what was in Dereham Frank, a Rickshaw , i think you could advertise on the Rickshaw or some thing , i only caught the tail end of the report , i've never seen it go round the town , or heard any thing about it !! Hope your stamps come to light , that's a lot of money's worth to lose !!
Hope you enjoy your ride out Fiona , could you not try wearing a pair of those hold up stockings , would be less tight round the tummy than tights and you'd still have a little some thing on your legs .
It must be a laugh a minute with your OH Ann LOL that's a good one about the Turkeys , he's as bad as hubby when we go past the sheep in the fields , he says just add mint sauce !!!
I must get my Christmas cakes made this week, i have been buying the fruit each week , were has the year gone ,only seems a few months ago we were swapping photo's of our cakes Fiona !!
Katie keeps climbing out of her cot ,so as she has one of those cots that you can change into a bed DIL thought it best that she has the bed now , so hubby helped son to change it over ,i wonder if she will stay in it tonight !!! She's now starting to talk a little , she can say Grandad in her little way but when it comes to saying Nanny , she calls me Mum :-D :-D :-D
Time for a cuppa . BBL

I don't know where the day has gone.I seem to have been out for hours.I bought some cards but still need more. Also got a pretty gold ceramic bowl, which I may use for Xmas Pot Pourri .
Frank if you have seen the stamps ,at least you know they are there somewhere.I have done that before and then found them stuck between some receipts in my purse. Conrad must be at the end of his tether now with these thieves nicking the cable again :-S :-S
It was very foggy here too this morning Ann.When I woke up I said to Chris the air felt very quiet. There seemed to be no sound from outside. When he looked out the window he said it was foggy hence the silence. It 's funny how I sensed it. The is shining very bright (you should see the state of my windows) :-| :-| The outsides are awful, and it is the muck from the fire.I think I will just wait and hope the window cleaner comes soon ;-)
Fiona I hope you have a nice gentle trip this afternoon. You might feel a bit achy later when you get back. But that will be normal. It will do you good to get out for a little while.
I am looking at a basket of ironing waiting to be done :-| :-|.Do I or don't I.

LOL Mandy.I remember my 2 getting to the stage of climbing over the top of the cot.Like little monkeys :-D.Once they decide they need out ,there is no stopping them.I also remember Hannah deciding she didn't want to wear a nappy, and I would go in ,in the morning and her Pamper Nappy would be all rolled up at the bottom of the cot.I don't think the cots back then turned into beds did they.
Sad news on the Boards.Daff, has passed away.I met her last year at the Peterborough Meet. She was a scream and a lovely lady, but has been battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia and sadly lost the battle in the early hours. She was my age :-( :-(

Oh Jane what a shame. Mum had Leukemia.
Well we have spent an awfull lot of money this morning :-S :-S :-S
We atr going to have solar panels on our roof at the back of the bungalow. Fellow said it was the best facing roof he had had only 1% off perfect. They will be put on in the next couple of weeks before the tariff goes down to 21%.By the begining of December we will be adding to the national grid. It has also put money on the house. Literally :-) :-) :-) but alos cost us a lot....... :-(

Fiona could'nt you get yourself a pair of hipster trousers as we used to call them. They would'nt come up to your scar would they? What about a pair of pyjame torusers under for extra warmth?? and socks instead of tights. I am always cold in tights anyway.

Mel, hubby has been working at a house were the chap said they are having Solar panels fitted for free!! all he has to pay is £275 ,his deeds have to be sent away to be registered and then he will get the £275 back . If he sells the bungalow ,the new owners can take the panels over if they want to ,if not the firm will come and take them off, he takes what electric he wants and sells the rest If you want i can give you the name , might be worth having a look , they must give you a chance to change your mind .
I did read on here about Daff Jane , by the comments on there she was a lovely person who will be sadly missed , she wasn't very old was she .
Off to see sister and BIL tonight ,then we'll have Chinese later ,so no cooking tonight .
Found the stamps yet Frank??

Evening All
Managed to get out for a while with a bit of extra padding round the waist, and spent a hour down the garden centre, bought some Christmas decorations, and some Sweets for presies and some table napkins, and enjoyed the change of scenery, Sad news about Daff , I had seen her name a few times on here, my aunt Margaret died of Leukemia many years ago (1954), she was only 28 years old.

Mandy,Daff I think was the same age as me.(late 50's).She really was a lovely lady..Even while (in recovery) from the first bout of Leukemia, helped raise on the boards over £800 for the son of a (GR) Mum who was blown up in Afghanistan and lost both legs.I think she was quite a special person.
Another Chinese !!!!!.I have Meatballs and spaghetti
