Hi Everyone,
What a dark day it has been here, very misty too.
Good to hear the staples and stitches are all gone now.......much more comfortable with those out! I would have enjoyed your fresh salmon with potatoes and peas Fiona, very tasty.
Lovely pics from Pat, hope she enjoys her Paris break.
Good news that fire is out at long last Jane, the smell must have got in your hair and your clothes just being out in it. It said they used a special new foam with heavy water to put it out in the end. It also said the company had to comply with an order from the Environment Agency before they could import recycling waste again.
Well I took that newspaper photo of Charles and Camilla doing their beading to class today and we all had a giggle, especially when I said she could have joined us today and saved a fortune by making her own tiaras!! lol I DID do a tiara in the end, but have a little bit to do to finish it, so will send a pic later. The lady next to me made a lovely one for her friend's wedding next year. A gold band with pretty, sparkly crystal chips, beautiful. Two made very PINK ones for their grandaughters!! I think my fingers will be tender tomorrow after all the twisting and wrapping. My beads still seem to prefer being on the floor.......not so easy to get to them these days!!
I was reading in the paper today about that lady who lost 5 sons in the war......how on earth do you come to terms with that. What terrible grief there must have been for so many families. No, we should never forget those who gave their lives for us and always appreciate how good our lives are to how things might have been. It really sickens me how their names are being ripped from the memorials around here............for the scrap metal value.

Just as good as my rice puddings then Mandy ;-) 'tis a dreary evening here.I think the lights have been on here for most of the afternoon. I have just cooked a massive joint of Beef, and have sliced it all up ,put it into 2 separate containers, and am just doing the gravy to pour over.It will go into the freezer.4 meals in each container.Lovely!.
Ann ,maybe you can rent your Tiara out for weddings ;-) ;-) ;-)

I'm going out for a pint tonight. First time in over a week.
Glad you all liked the scarves. She sold 3 while setting up this afternoon !!! I don't think they will last long tomorrow. Will be ordering more wool tomorrow night.
These thefting Bas#### who take the brass plates, from the memorials should have their hands chopped off. I would do it without any thought or guilt. As I said to Ros this evening. " Give me this Country for a year, you would see a different place at the end of it"
David, You are only here once, if you fancy something, HAVE IT. ;-) ;-) ;-)

I liked the ventriloquist Shirl and loved the pics!!
Mel, we'd need a helluva tree for me to perch on in that tiara!! lol :-0 :-0 Mind you, no fairy on our tree, just a home made star made out of twigs.
Those scarves are lovely Frank, Ros is amazing getting them done that quickly........I love the rasberry one! They will go like hot cakes tomorrow.
Shame about your rice pud Mandy. I always forget to check mine and they dry up a bit and need a bit of carnation added!! Not that I have made one for ages.
Hope you have a lovely day with Hannah tomorrow Jane.
David.........be careful what you wish for!! Is the kitchen finished yet?
I am off to bed now so will wish you all goodnight, except Kim and Shirl!!
Hope you are ok Kim and do you still have the monster staying Shirl?

Hello all,
Jane have a lovely time with Hannah. So glad the fire is out and all that smoke is gone. That dog would put those chickens off laying surely. The stress would be terrible for them. A company up near Newcastle has just been closed down indefinitely because of an ammonia leak that sent workers to hospital. It is the second chemical leak since August. The EPA acted pretty fast as last time the whole area had to be evacuated. That chemical was a carcinogenic. I hope they throw the book at them and that company near you too. Should not be able to operate if they can't with safety. Good to hear that Chester's stitches are out; he is such a great dog. I did find a picture of a white stoat in the snow, so that answered my question. They are very pretty.
Fiona you will feel more comfortable soon. I didn't have staples just sutures across the wounds. I lost my appetite after the operation for about 3 weeks and lost 2 kilograms. I just ate a little jelly, custard and mashed veggies until it came back. I wasn't really sore, but having the ME too, it just made me very tired. Happy to see that you are eating a little more too. I asked the doctor about the gall stones and he said you can get hepatic stones from the liver which block the bile duct and cause similar problems. I don't want any of those :-0
Pat have a great time in Paris, but remember what happened to Sheila ;-) She did have some fun!! A place I have always wanted to visit and there are sooooo many of them. I did like your photos. I think both those children look like you.
Ann, looking forward to seeing a picture of your tiara.
Had a trip down to see my doctor and the report had come back from the specialist. They were looking for a tumour in my pancreas, so I have been diagnosed with autoimmune pancreatitis. No alcohol ever (I do love a cream sherry or port and champagne anytime), but no more. He can't say if it will become chronic and any attack means a trip to hospital. I don't know if I could stand the trip to Sydney. It just adds to my list and I have to eat very bland food (Fiona would know about that well ;-) ).
Mandy I've always loved rice pudding, but always managed to burn them.
Frank I would love to see the photos of Ros' scarves too.
Have a good Saturday everyone. 7.39 pm DST
