Morning All,
another lovely sunny day here and clear blue skies.
Have done up all oh's pressies and hidden them in my wardrobe. He has to go ringing this morning then I shall attack him when he comes home and make him open his cards and pressies. He hates birthdays!!
Kim I hope your feeling a bit better now. Poor puss. It is a bit of a fiddle trying to get a wee sample from a cat, is'nt it?? I know I had to do that once with one of mine. folled her around when she went to her tray and shoved a foil tray under her as she weed.

Mel you are not wrong. Vet said to put some newspaper in the tray, but Keith put in some shredded paper. She wasn't having any of that, so I took it out and she went in the empty tray - not much, but enough for testing. Dogs are so much easier with pills and the like. Plus how do you get cats to drink enough water? :-S They won't do anything if they don't want to!!!!!
Happy birthday to your OH, I thought you meant Christmas presents for a moment and I was thinking how organised you are, well you are anyway ;-) Have a nice day together.

CONGRATULATIONS MANDY. or should I say, daughter or DIL.
That steamer is great. I do the cooker with it, the shower/wet room floor. the tiles around the bathroom. And you can use it on the windows, carpets, hard floors etc. I bought mine fromEbay last year. Well worth the money. and no the carpet dosen't get very damp. In fact I am going to do the bathroom tiles today. !!!
Rolf Harris was good last night, such a nice bloke. I see Jimmy Saville was a bit of a sod to live with. Always had to be the front man, and not that keen on children. It takes allsorts. !!
Happy birthday Mr Mel also Master Brooks.
Never had to get a sample from an animal. I can just imagine the look I would get from my old Cat. He would almost say "bugger off and leave me to do my business"
Hows the pet situation, all well I hope.

Afternoon All Have just managed to get on here. But now the new Modem is up and running hopefully it will be fine now. I am a grumpy old mare today.I had a really bad night sleep and am making sure all know :-S :-S.Chris and James are giving me a wide berth lol
Kim the stuff that is burning is paper, cardboard , plastic and really who knows what else. The company had been storing all the waste as they do not have he last proper bit of equipment to do the last stage of what is needed to be done before sending off the bales to power stations(I think that is right). It was being stored out in the open and should have been indoors .They just sound a really bad company who seem to think they can get away with doing what they want.
Happy Birthday to Mr Mel and to Mandy's little boy lol.Congratulations once again .This will be 4 children for your son!!!!.I hope they have a big house :-D :-D,and deep pockets.Of course you too will be digging deeper ;-)
I remember following my old dog Dodger around the garden to get a wee sample.I had one of those small specimen pots and thought it was going to be a nightmare trying to reach under and get in the right position. It was perfect :-D
Kim I wonder had your Kiara been in a fight ? I know when my sisters cats have been like yours it was often discovered that there were puncture wounds and an abscess had formed ,but not noticed by my sister .
Frank I did enjoy Rolf last night.I couldn't believe he is 81 :-0.What a lovely wife and daughter he has.I just knew he would cry lol.I think next week it is Paul Gasgoine. Not sure I will be that interested in that one. Must go and turn my potatoes .BBL

How nice to hear from Fiona and knowing she is up and about a bit. Look after yourself and get on here when you can.
OH has opened all his cards and presents. He was delighted with his two ratchets I bought him and I also got him a wire brush with the handle on the back of it, an eletrical screwdriver with a wire stripper on the top, a bigger shaving mirror than the one he was useing, a bar of Lindt dark choc with sea salt and a folding chair for fishing which he is very pleased with. He is now talking about going out with a picnic fishing one day. Don't know what I shall do while he is fishing.
When the chap came yesterday who is fixing the church boiler, he had something in his hand which he puffed on now and then. Being nosey I asked him what it was and he said it was an eletric cigerette. Think I may have to look into this. He told me you could get them of the internet. It works on a battery and had capsuels (sp) of nicotine that go in it. He recons it only costs him about £5 a month to run.

Mel I would send him fishing on his own with his picnic .I would be bored stiff sitting watching someone dangling their rod in a river ;-).Sounds a bit rude doesn't it ,but you know what I mean :-D
Fiona good to see you here earlier.I'm glad things are getting a little easier for you.
We wondered where you were Sheila. How did April manage to break your computer? You say she is living with you now.Is that a permanent thing? Hopefully Beryl will be happy with her new boyfriend.
Mandy I think it has been a bit slower lately. No doubt we will get cracking again.

Oh i love Downton Abbey , carn't believe its the last one , who's going to die then in the flu epidemic ? Cora, Lavinia and Carson all fall victim to the flu it says .
And i think it looks like Bates and Anna get married in secret :-)
More fireworks here tonight ..hubby was talking to a chap from down the road ,he said his poor dog was terrified last night , he said the neighbors were still letting them off at eleven o'clock last night .
Celebrity Jungle starting next week , i quite like that too.

Evening All,
:-D :-D HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR MEL and also to MANDY'S SON. :-D :-D Mel, it sounds as if you got him things he will like. My first OH was into DIY and always wanted tools.
Congratulations Mandy, how exciting for you all.........I hope they have a big car!!
Thanks for that info about the steamer Frank, I think I may look into getting one. Any pics yet of Ros's scarves?
Sister rang to say baby George had to be taken into hospital over the weekend, dehydrated and after tests they thought he had an infection so antibiotics too. Poor little mite had been screaming in pain after his bottles. Apparently the ward was so filthy they complained and when the hospital welfare officer came and saw it, she agreed and they moved everybody out!
Sheila, I've lost track......is April staying with you until she goes to America? Is Beryl 'over' Donnie now do you think? It sounds like this old boyfriend was waiting in the wings, I bet he has cheered Beryl up now.
Hi Fiona, nice to see you back with us when you are up to it. Hopefully each day you will feel a bit better now.....especially when you get those staples out!! :-D
I recorded the Rolf Harris interview so I should enjoy by the sound of it. I also watched the Susan Boyle programme the other night. She seems to be coping very well now and seems to have good support around her. People want to hug her wherever she goes. Still lives a simple life between performances. She has a new bigger house now as well as her old one. I love the doormat at the new one which says 'The Posh House' lol
Kim, they are doing the same here with playing fields too, selling them off to builders for housing. Mind you, the new school up the road has that all weather turf and huge floodlights so I suppose they don't need so much space when that can be used all the time till late at night with no wear and tear. It is a shame these green spaces are disappearing though.......once gone, they never come back.
Looking forward to the last episode of Downton tonight!!

Poor little baby George, i hope he's going to be alright , fancy putting him a filthy ward !! that's badness!!! i don't blame them complaining , i don't think we complain enough.
i'am seriously thinking about getting one of those steam cleaners too , Frank said he'd send me the info about them . Yes Frank ,has Ros made any more scarves , i'd like to have a look at them too.

Oh ,that is a brilliant response from your OH Ann :-D :-D :-D :-D
I think I have missed something somewhere.Baby George??.I'm lost.Poor baby sounds like Ethan ,when he was screaming in pain after his feeds. The ward must have been so bad ,to actually move everyone out. That's appalling Ann.
Well I'm going to settle to watch X F,and then Downton.I probably won't be back again tonight ,so will say night night now.
Did someone say it is someone's birthday tomorrow?

Evening all, Had a lot of trouble getting the previous page, to read up what's been happening.
I had an Email from Ros's wool supplier, she is still waiting on her delivery. As soon as Ros get the wool and knits a few I will photograph them and SEND PROMISE.
I cleaned all the tiles, floor, sink overflow, and round the toilet rim, with the steamer this afternoon. came up well, steam everywhere, couldn't see through my glass's :-D :-D :-D
Mel, My Eldest, Harvey, is tool made, He has tools for everything, and spares to go with them. He is forever on Ebay buying one thing or another. His garage is packed. I bet he couldn't find something if I asked for it !!!! Glad OH was pleased with what you bought.
I must have given Harvey and Lewis £600.00 of fishing gear when I had my stroke, and I am still finding odds and sods, which I give Lewis each time he come up. Does OH have a lot of fishing round and about where you live ???
What a great answer Ann, I know how he feels :-D :-D :-D :-D

I posted about baby George about a fortnight ago Jane........he made me a Great Aunt......yikes!! I know I sometimes miss posts speed reading to catch up. Apparently he has settled since they gave him painkillers.....poor little soul must be worn out.
I'm off too now, looks like I shall watch Downton tomorrow as OH has already gone to bed saying he thinks he may be getting a sore throat. :-S
Night, night everyone.....sleep tight xx
