Is it you or the family going to Madiera Anne. You and Pat certainly get about, makes me wonder what I'm doing at my age, knocking down walls when I should be lazing in the sun somewhere..... lol

Just hubby and I. We love our holidays and mainly go during the winter.This helps with my aches and pains as I react badly to the cold ( thats my excuse ) :-D

Well I didn't get a coat for Chester as I had forgotten to measure him :-S.If the vet reckons it is a good idea to get one for him I can do that while he is having the op tomorrow morning.He has just had his last meal ,so I had better pick up his dish and just leave the water down.

Mel I loved the "Hearse " thingy lol.

Madeira eh Anne! That is somewhere I have always fancied going.Glad the show was a success.You can relax a bit now before the holiday.

That sounds nasty weather Maureen.It is often really bad there I believe.I hope it doesn't get any worse for them.

I had a call this morning from Dubai .Rachel in tears.Things are sounding very rocky and she is talking of leaving Darren :-0.It seems things have been ad for a long while.What am I supposed to say????.It is so difficult on the phone.I have had a few phone calls from her before like this but it sounds more serious this time.I can't tell her what to do ,but can only 'advise' and tell a few things that I have been a bit concerned about.Then she thinks I am saying she is in the wrong(which isn't the case).
Personally I think they rushed into living together and then going to Dubai with Darren as her Boss.I also think they rushed getting married ,and then of course along comes Ethan.All to much too quick I think.But hey what do I know.I think they both need to take a step back ,re evaluate their new roles and decide either they want things to work and maybe get some 'Relate' help.or agree to go their own ways .I can do without all this :-S :-S
There that is my grumble over for tonight.I think I will go and do something about dinner .Take my mind of that.

Back home, great was at the hospital for just over 1/2 hour and everything done, so glad we didn't have to see the dr, otherwise we would have had to find something to do for a couple of hours, it was horrible weather going into Glasgow getting dark and raining when we arrived there at 4.15pm. I will not be surprised Maureen if we get early snow this year.

Frank, when you had your email this morning did you get your credits? you had problems getting on the thread too during those three days .

And Shirl you want to complain as you were trying to get on , you posted just before me ,so how can they say we hadn't accessed the site !!!!!

Maureen ,i saw on the news all the snow they have been getting out there , lets hope its not heading this way just yet

It must be very hard to know what to say to Rachel , it's some thing that only they can sort out for themselves ,i suppose she rings for a bit of support ,but what can you say !!

We have just had four little Trick or Treaters round all dressed up in their costumes , they did look cute , i filled their little buckets with some sweeties, and they went off happy .

Glad you got everything done ready for Wednesday Fiona , it will soon be over and just think how much better you will feel , no more horrible pain and being able to eat properly again .

I think I will be wearing my mouth guard thing tonight.I can feel I'm clenching my teeth,and starting to get jaw ache.All because I am worried about Rachel.
Just call me Marjorie Proops lol.It has been problem after problem for the last 11 years with Rachel since her Mum died,and the 3 years before that coping with her Mum after the break up of her marriage.It just never seems to end,and it's such a shame.
I feel so lucky sometimes that I have never had such troubles.

Kitchen sockets fixed today and the new hob cooker.
Also half the tiling has now been done.

Jane, I do feel sorry for Rachel in that situation. After that unhappy episode in her past life she may have longed to build her own happy family. Has she any good friends out in Dubai? If not, it must be quite lonely for her. Even though I'm sure little Ethan is a great joy, their lives will have changed a lot after his arrival. Maybe she just needs you to listen and doesn't expect you to have any answers. It can be a big help for her to just to let it all out to someone. Not easy for you though!!!

Mandy, in the censuses you just do a search and if the results show your rellie, just click on the rellie and it asks you if you want to use credits.

Sorry for wittering on about Rachel.But it is a worry.No she doesn't really have anyone out there Ann that is close enough to talk to.We have discussed tonight ,do I go over there .But I think that may make things even more difficult,as it may be seen by Darren I am on Rachels side :-S.I'm not taking sides and dont' want to.But part of me wants to (if you know what I mean).
I just don't want Ethan to be caught up in some awful dispute.

Chester has to be at the vets between 8.30 and 9.00 in the morning.I will take him in the car down to the village and do walkies ,but instead of coming home where he will expect brekkie,milk and his pill wrapped in ham ,he will be whipped off to the vet.Then I will spend the rest of the day in a tiz,until I pick him up.I will buy some fish and cook it up with rice for him to have in the evening,as he won't be able to have his dried food.I have told James he has to come with me when I pick him up as he will need lifting into the car and keeping an eye on.I'm pretty sure he will still be on another planet after the anesthetic.I can see me sleeping downstairs in the lounge tomorrow night,on a makeshift bed :-S
I must remember to take the Petplan insurance details with me as the staff at the vet will do that and send off the claim for me.I think it will be around £400.I have found a couple more little lumps too,so maybe they can be dealt with as well as the others.
I think I will get off to bed now as it will be a fairly early start .

David ,things are looking up in the Kitchen department then.That is great news.

Have been trying to do some work on my tree for a couple of days. So confusing when they keep changing surname spellings and go by middle name. I eventually sorted them out, took hours :-S

Fiona wishing you all the best for tomorrow. I know you will be fine and hope this operation rids of you the terrible pain and sick feeling. Roll on Christmas and all that lovely food you will be able to eat.

Jane good luck with Chester, yes I want a pic of him in his coat too. I hope he recovers quickly from his op. Sorry to read that Rachael and her hubby are having these struggles. That beautiful baby needs both parents. I can only be the optimist and hope it works out eventually for them. Hope your lord and master (lol) is getting over his cold.

We had 7 little visitors last night. I had the lolly bags ready, but I had expected a few more. Maybe the parents don't let them wander around our neighbourhood, but they did all turn up fairly early.

Ann, that's a cracker. FIL and no lens, so funny. I always use lens cleaners that I get from the chemist, a box of 30. They work really well. I was told never to wash with water. Fancy that music going on until 5.30!!! Get the police next time, that's not on. People are usually reasonable, but not until that time.

I tried to use some credits and I got the Error Message, so will have to try again sometime.

Maureen, I saw those early snow storms on the news last night in the US. They looked pretty bad.

Anne hope you have some improvement with the neck and back pain. Have a great time in Madiera - hope the warm weather helps with the aches.

Weather has been cool for this time of year, but the sun is out this afternoon. Melbourne Cup today and I picked third and won $20 for my trouble. French horse won by a whisker. Closest Cup finish ever, but mostly overseas talent.

Sunny tday bright and clear. So different from yesterday. I wonder why this seems to happen?

Off to the docs for 10am for my tests for the cough I have!! Nurse seemed to think that I needed a breath test.

Back of my left hand still bruised from her taking blood last week. It dos'nt hurt just looks like I have given it a good bash.

Did my shopping yesterday and got that over and done with for another week and after the docs I should'nt have togo out anymore this week, I hope. I have to do the church flowers but I got three bunches of mixed flowers at Mo**isons yesterday for 79p a bunch. Not bad ay. I can put some hydranga's in with the pink bunch and use the yellow and white for the alter and porch.

Hope Chester comes through ok at the vets Jane, pets are such a worry when they have to have medical attention. just like kids too.

Well I'm off to town want to pick up a new book to read and a couple of magazines, I have packed most of my overnight stuff, just to pop my slippers in tomorrow morning and of course my toothbrush.
struggling on what to wear coming home, nurse said yesterday to bring loose clothing as I my tum will be swollen with all the gas they use during the operation.
I have a warm thickish dress which is quite wide, I normally wear it with a belt, but I am wandering if I should wear leggings under it instead of tights they won't be so tight round the tummy area. I have only ever had one other operation and that is when I was 9 years old and I had my appendix out.
I still have all day to think about it.

It's very quiet here :-(.I have to ring the vets at 1.30 to see what time I can pick him up/I hate leaving him there .It's those eyes,saying don't leave me Mum!
I am going to give the kitchen floor a good scrubbing while he is out .

Fiona ,I would go with the leggings and not tights.Or even nothing on your legs If it is not too cold and too far to get to the car.

Back from the docs now and good news as my lungs are not too bad for my age and heioght and I am a smoker too.

I also asked him to wiegh me and guess what???? :-) I have lost weight this week. A whole kilo :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

I am very pleased with myself and when I got home oh was out so I can't weight!!! wait for him to come home so I can tell him!!! He will be jealous :-P I shall keep up the good work I hope. At least with what I am eating I don't feel hungry and if I should have a little pang I think to myself, you loosing weight so put up with it.
