It is in the village where I live Jane. I took a few pics of some of the nicer old buildings in the village a couple of years ago......put them on the Leicestershire villages site and that is where the chap who contacted me saw it. It used to be the Reading Rooms before.
Hope you don't get what Chris has......perils of being a GP's wife!

It's that time again !!!!! Just caught up with the posts.
Silly old bugge# aren't I getting my Jimmy's mixed up.
We see the space station a lot round this way, It seems tol be "PARKED" over our bungalow, or someone has a bright torch !!!!
Ann, If the noise gets to bad, ring the police. they will come and give them a warning. and if it goes on after midnight with no reduction in noise, they can take away the MUSIC.
You girls, are getting above your station in life. :-D :-D You know the old saying "A womans place is in the home" You wouldn't have got away with it in my dads house. No joking.!!!! How times have changed :-P :-P :-P
The wind is blowing a gale outside at the moment. When the Indian was delivered I thouth the front door was coming off. The lad flew back up the drive, he should have had a broom stick :-D :-D
The page is all over the place tonight, just stops when it feels like it. Have complained to Genes, but no Credits yet.
David, You must make a stand with the chippie. One of my friends is a carpenter, and can fit a whole kitchen including the sink, worktop etc in less than a week. Threaten him, and force his hand, and that you will take him to the small claims court for compensation. If that won't work, don't pay him, and get someone else. Then you will see how quick he gets the job finished.
Mel, I hope your weather improves, DON'T FORGET YOUR CLOCKS TONIGHT.
The last sale they had for the Scouts raised over £600.00. and there is another before xmas, so that should bring in a few bob.

Morning Pat and Mel,
Pat glad to hear you had a good holiday , shame about the weather , but i suppose it was still nice to get away have a rest .
No Mel, we remembered to change the clocks , but i woke early ,came down and made a cup of tea ,then we laid there talking about what we would be doing today , hubby's doing another door ,then when that's dry we're off to Norwich to look at carpets ,also need a curtain pole for the door curtain .
Not a bad morning the sun is just peeping through, and its quite mild .
How's the old git this morning Jane? is he in a better frame of mind ? lol
Time for coffee.

Morning My sweets,
How the devil are you this morning, a lot happier with your beloved husbands I HOPE. Jane you haven't sent Chris out with Chester this morning have you ??? He will catch his death. in this damp weather.
A lot of excitement down the close late last night, BLUE LIGHTS, from an ambulance. A guy down the bottom had a heart attact, whilst in America and had to have a by-pass operation. He had a bad turn last night. His wifes car hasn't been seen since she drove off at midnight following the ambulance.
Dull old morning here, I don't think we will see any yellow stuff today.
Welcome back Pat, Where's my pressie ????
Going to prepare dinner now, then shower and book. See you later.

Morning All Of course I sent him out with Chester Frank. It is Sunday and it's his turn :-D :-D He actually feels quite a bit better this morning although is full of muck.
Pat Good to have you back all refreshed after your nice hols.
Frank are these neighbours friends of yours or just people who live in your Rd.It is a bit worrying if the lady still hasn't come home.I hope all is well.
Mel all are clocks were put back ,although I still have to do the cooker .I always think it clever how the computer clock sets itself and the heating.
I think today it is going to be a Pasta Day.I did a kind of Roast last night ,and James is going to be out and about so I don't intend to spend the day faffing with food It is all cloud here but really mild again.
See you all later

O M G I have just made two pots of Creamed Horse Raddish sauce. I can't believe how sore your eyes can get, grating the horse raddish. Had to go a wash them in cold water. still stinging now,
You wicked person, sending him out this morning. That's what I mean about you women, no consideration for us poor old blokes :-D :-D :-D :-D :
The people down the road don't speak to anybody, you use to see him go off in his car in the mornings about 8 am when I was making a cup of tea, and come back about 6 pm when I was dishing up dinner Knew the family when I had the P.O. Someone down there will find out what the score is and let Ros know. She hated having to go to bed without knowing. NOSEY or WHAT.!!!!

I would have been the same as Ros ,it's just being curious I say ,not nosy ;-) I think the walk will have done Chris good .Clear the tubes a bit,as long as he didn't have to walk through the path of smoke lol Chris Loves Horseradish .He always has too much in one mouthful and it makes his nose sting and eyes run.Mine comes out of a jar though :-S
I was thinking ,I could have done a bit of business.Seeing all the people buying little broomsticks for the children for Halloween.I have plenty of sticks and bits of wood.I should have made a bunch of them and sold them out the front lol. What a racket it is these days. All the costumes etc.I wonder if anyone actually makes their own these days.

Afternoon All Glad you had a good holiday Pat.
Your very welcome David,
Partly sunny here but a cold wind, OH managed to get out on his bike today , and I managed to get to church, Just set the table for dinner later on , as no one will be home tomorrow evening for Halloween I have just put a few decorations up in the dinning room for Sofia, she has a cat costume for playgroup next week , so her mum left it with me and I am hoping Sofia is in a good mood and will put it on, I might even manage to get some photo's , if I do I will send them on .

Well no sun here today. It is just dull, cloudy and a bit dismal. But still warm. I have a pet fly (like Mandy the other day).It keeps landing on the table beside me :-S :-S..It is being a real tease. I have all Chesters bedding in the wash ,as i want it clean for when he gets back from his op on Tuesday. He is looking a bit perturbed as usually when I was it ,it means he is of on his hols :-S

Any news on the neighbor Frank ? see if you had a dog you could have walked it down and road and then you might have seen some one to ask lol Mum use to grated Horse radish ,i remember it being really strong smelling ,how long can you keep the home made stuff for ? like Jane mine comes out of a jar too.
The little ones are dressing up for Halloween ,DIL's sister is going to take them round some houses ,last year they both had full baskets of sweets, and yesterday they were going to do their pumpkins ready to stand outside.
I haven't got your photo's Pat, only just back from your hols and your off again you lucky thing :-)
Been to Norwich and sorted out the carpet for the stairs, landing and hallway , we have a nice chap that will come and lay it for us , we picked out a nice browny colour with a lighter fleck in it.
Went to the Ra*ge and took a can of emulsion paint back that we didn't use , bought a curtain track as the poles won't fit in the doorway very well, also a hook for the tie back that i still have to buy . While we were in the Ran*e we had a jacket potato for lunch ,hubby had Tuna with his ,and i had Cheese and Coleslaw, he ended up eating my Coleslaw , i like the creamy Coleslaw ,this was a bit too watery for me !! Loads of people in there one young couple had a trolley full of tinsel, baubles and Christmas lights !!
Toby's eyeing me up he thinks its his tea time !! told him he's got another hour to wait , putting the clocks back has put him all out :-S

Evening Everyone,
Glad you had a good holiday Pat........I think you needed it after finally getting your kitchen and bathroom straight again. You look really chilled in your sundress and I love your evening out outfit The photo of the light reflection in the cathedral is very pretty too.
I hope that chap is ok Frank.....very worrying for his wife. I'm sure the good doctor might recommend gentle exercise to help clear the chest, so maybe Jane is right to send him out!! :-D lol
Fiona, Sofia would look cute as a cat....hope she will wear the costume so you can get some pics.
Mandy, poor Toby wondering if he was to get any grub!!
Well, the music last night was the loudest ever...........the DJ and song words drowned out the tv despite the double glazing and you couldn't sleep or read.!! About 1.00am it calmed down a little and we couldn't hear the DJ so we think someone had complained. The thud of drums, bass and the guitars still kept us awake till gone 5.30 am this morning!! I ended up with a splitting headache and even OH has had enough this time and said he will ring the Police if it happens again. I just think that kind of volume belongs in a proper venue, not a back garden.

We had a chuckle after visiting FIL this afternoon. Apparently, MIL washes their glasses on Sundays and when she lifted FIL's reading glasses out of the bowl today, a lens was missing.....and it wasn't in the bowl. He was wearing them last night, so they had searched where he sat, in his glasses case and where MIL would have walked to the kitchen and in the kitchen too, but drew a blank. OH said had they reached right under the furniture as things can bounce a long way. Off FIL goes, trotting upstairs for a long ruler and then on his knees scrabbling around and scraping under the furniture......still no lens. About an hour after we got home MIL rang to say they had found it. It was in the pocket of a coat he wore to a funeral last week. This is the best bit........they went to the funeral last Wednesday and he had worn them with a lens missing for 3 days and neither of them had noticed and he hadn't noticed any difference reading with them!!! lol
