Mandy I am away early too tonight.I seem to be having the weirdest dreams lately and I wake up exhausted :-S.
Chris has come home tonight with a stinker of a cold..I do Sniffing and snorting all over the place.I do think he makes the most of it though :-S.Talking all funny through his nose and saying "Oh dear " all the time !!!!.I have sent him off to bed 'cos I can't stand it' :-| :-|.Now do I sleep in our bed ,or remove myself to Hannah's bed?,as no doubt he will be making a racket snoring ,coughing etc.

Ann. Darlington is a fair way . Isn't it near Newcastle?I'm not surprised you don't fancy going.

We must remember to put the clocks back tomorrow.

Happy Birthday David from Devon. Hope you have a good day and hope Ellen feels better. x

Morning all,

Well I stuck with it and did all my ironing yesterday. I feel very proud of myself.

Poor Chester he is not going to like going to the vets with all his little probs.

Not so nice today as yesterday but still dry at the moment.

Nice to see Foggy on the thread again and to have a pic.

Jane do you know Bob too? from the meets?

Left my washing out last night and it's not too bad this morning. I have brought the tea towels in as they are just nice for ironing. I bought a couple of reaaly cheap ones for a £1 in Morr*sons to use on cleaning the windows so they went in with my other window cloths. Suppose I shall have to wash them a few times before they dry the windows.

So hope all are fit and well as can be expected this morning.....

Hope Chris's cold did'nt keep you awake too much last night Jane.

Jane Report 29 Oct 2011 11:19

Mel, no I don't know Bob,he spotted on the thread that I used to live in Wembury which is where he was based when I was young.

No Chris didn't keep me awake ,but something did.I woke up at about 4am and kept thinking I could hear voices or something. At first I thought my Tinnitus was weird so I got out of bed and stood in the middle of the room.Chris muttered "what the ****** are you doing" I said " can you hear voices?" His answer was "No ,it's all in your head lol"
I crept downstairs and the voices got louder !!! .It was the blooming Radio in the kitchen.Somehow it had turned itself on lol.We never use it as an alarm or anything. It just sits on the window sill.....Spooky :-S
I couldn't get Chester in to have his claw seen to so he will have to wait until tuesday now.
It is a lovely sunny morning ,after a cloudy start.(touch wood ,no smoke this way)

Lovely morning here. Have just come back form PC world, having been told that it would cost £70 for a new charger for my computer!! I DON'T think so!!!! Rather pushy young man, so told him politely, but firmly, that I would shop around!! Have just rung the chap who sold me the computer in the first place, who said that PC world was NOT what it once was and that he could let me HAVE a suitable charger which he has in his 'box of tricks' and will, post to me ASAP! Don't want to be rude, but Mel, I've never ironed a teatowel in my life!!! I just fold them along with towels, easy care fitted sheets, pillow slips and Duvet cover, and put straight into the airing cuboard! Actually I don't iron very much, only odd shirts,(most are easy care) 'T' shirts in the summer, in fact only 'best' things that show!! As you can tell, I do NOT like ironing and avoid it as much as possible! Having a bonfire this afternoon, and a sit in the sun! :-)

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 29 Oct 2011 12:10

I have always ironed tea towel as it also steralizes them. If I don't i can't get them all in the draw! :-( I don't use tea towels for wiping up anyway because mum used to wipe cupboards and even something off the floor with them. I just let dishes dry by themselves :-D

Afternoon everyone,

Happy Birthday David , hope you have a lovely day .

Lovely sunny day here .
I always boil wash my tea towels and towels , in fact they are all pale colors now with all the boiling , then i just fold them up and put them away , i use to iron them, but not any more .
Also putting the washing machine on a boil wash helps to really clean the pipes out on the machine , i don't think people do boil washes as much now as washing powders are suppose to clean better , but they don't !!!

Been to Tesc*'s and bought son a few bits for his birthday on Sunday week , he's so hard to buy for.

Hubby's varnishing doors this weekend ,one down seven more to do .

Lunch time , BBL
