Jane get a crowd of your neighbours who are all suffering in a similar fashion and together file a formal complaint to some b-gger or sue some one or with hold council taxes for the above reasons.

Ellen had a restless night again last night. Her legs are paining her, specifically the knees
Her Doctor is taking her off Diclafenic because of blood pressure problems. It's getting her down AND her kitchen is still not finished!

Yes Jane , I did seem to do a multiple post yesterday! it simply wouldn't go through, and when it did, it was in style! Still without my OWN computer! the charger has blown so will have to get a new one! I'm using Ian's rather superior laptop at the moment, but all my Tree notes etc are on mine, so I want it back!!! You know what it's like, if you can manage, then what you need tends to go to the bottom of the 'important' list!!!! Do hope your operation goes well Fiona, you have been unwell for so long, feeling bettter must be something that you're really looking forward to. I too, have a hospital appointment next Friday for an X-ray on my back. It's been very stiff and achey since I had that fall last Feb, and the move has made it worse, so, I mentioned it to the Dr on Monday, and low and behold the appointment appeared this morning! I think that it is a pretty good service, lets hope it stays that way! Another afternoon spent sorting boxes! have labled ones with things we need/don't need immediately/don't need at all, and earmarked for a sale room/tip!!! Gosh Kim, hot or what, and still only Spring! so sorry to hear that you aren't feeling too good, also sympathy with the 'black cloud' syndrome! I remember it well, although both of mine are well grown up now, and any domestic problems they tend to keep to themselves!! My cousin has been in the UK for the past Three weeks, and returns to Melbourne on Friday. I think she'll notice the difference temperaturewise! Off to start Supper, Chicken (!!) in white sauce with rice tonight; nice and easy, with not too much washing up! (no Dishwasher! there's simply no room in my 'little' kitchen!)

Oh I say ,isn't it funny to hear your own voice lol. They aired my little bit on the radio this afternoon.I could hear a bit of my Devon Burr ;-)
At least finally there has been some feedback from us locals and they have done a good bit of coverage both on the TV and Radio.

Maureen ,that is handy ,the house coming up for sale next door to your son.Finley loves his Grandma lol

Liz,good luck with your Xray on Friday.Maybe you have a bit of Arthritis in your back.

Ann ,I have lots of shoes that I have either worn once or twice or not at all :-S.I really need to get rid of them now.

David,I hope Ellen has a better night tonight.I bet she has been doing too much with all the moving etc.

I hope I haven't missed anyone.
Oh yes Shirl!.Who is it in your new photo? Is it you in the Fur Coat?

Conrad stayed till about 3.30pm. The boys enjoyed their time together at the golf range.

I've been lazing around, apart from preparing dinner for tonight, all feed, washing up down and dusted.

His Lordship wants to go and see a Match this evening, so Ros will have to take and collect us. To far to walk in the dark.

Morning all,

Same weather here as where you are. Drizzly and dreary. OH has just gone out to the garage and has put a fleece on which is unusual for him. He said when he bends down his back gets cold. A sure case of Builders B*m!!!!

Dumplings with just flour and water??????? No suet???? never heard of that before. Jane what do you mean you don't make your own..........you naughty girl. So easy just a table spoon of flour per person and half that of suet, pinch of salt and jsut add water till it binds together well. Pop into stew and leave for 15 to 20 mins with the lid on. I love dough boys but we did'nt have them this week as I am trying to loose a bit of weight.

MillymollyAmanda

MillymollyAmanda Report 27 Oct 2011 09:56

Morning Mel , no suet , these are the Norfolk dumplings , just ten minutes cooking and they are light and fluffy .
