Chris is chopping up pallets at the moment so we should have plenty of Kindling.I am going out to buy a new set of firearms and scuttle this morning and on the way take loads of bags of Chris's old coats and Jackets to the Hospice Recyle bin. It is a very blustery morning but with a nice blue sky.
I will book Chester in for his lumps for the beginning of Nov.

Morning Kim Morning Mel Morning Jane
Another wet, wild & windy day.
Kim, I know what you mean about people saying hurtfull things, I have been quite thin most of my life, even as a child the teachers would contact my mum and say , " we are concerned over Fiona's health she looks so thin is she eating properly you better take her to the doctors." and mum would say " she is well ,she is always like that and she eats properly too" really anoying, the only time I ever got up to a size 12 was three years ago , I just seem to get bigger , I hated it because it was so uncomfortable to bend over, and when I look back at my daughter no 1 wedding pics I look huge, everyone said don't you look well. it suits you,
I am happy when I am size 10, and as you say Kim it may be a long time till we manage to put the weight back on. But I am happy that your tests went ok, the last few years I have had blood tests done every 6 months, I FELL LIKE A PIN COUSHION(sp) :-D lol
Decided to go to the hairdressers today at 2.00 and get my roots done, that will make me feel better when I get out of hospital and can't do much about the house at least I will feel good about myself when I look in the mirror, :-)
Whoops!!!! Forgot to give SIL his birthday card it's his 31st birthday today, my mind has been on other things , just seen it sitting on the shelf in the diningroom, will text him and give him his card tomorrow when he comes to pick Sofia up after work.

Ah, there it is, couldn't post.
I've been out chopping up branches since 9am. Taken 3 loads round to the tip. As its so deep, I try to throw the branches down into it, threw one armfull and went with it. Not all the way down, but what a job pulling myself out. I could have been down there forever. Won't go so close next time. :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0
Neighbour came out this morning (While i'm cutting up branches) OH perhape you could push some of the smaller bits down the side of the skip. I said "DON'T BOTHER"" I would hate to take up space that you might need. In doors he went. with a flea in his ear. !!
What a rough old night, that wind really got up, not a lot of rain, but softened the ground a little, Beautiful day out there again, Bright sunshine even though the wind is chilly, just right for what I am doing.
Ros is down the Chapel this morning (Coffee Shop) on Tuesdays. They have a sale of all kinds of things, for funds for the Scouts. She has knitted about six scarves, childrens hats, cardigans, Our lounge is like a wool shop. and all you hear is click, click, of the needles.
Trust you are all well, and coping with your ailments. Also the dogs are allright.
Is Chris back at work today Jane, or is it another day in the garden ??? He can always come over here to help me :-D :-D :-D

Morning All,
Another sunny one here.
I bet Janice is fed up with her knee Jane. It is so limiting when you can't move about so easily. I ought to get mine checked again I think as I don't really know what is wrong with them! The xray showed no arthritis but they crack and grate something awful, but they aren't stiff in the mornings. I have wondered if it is the ligaments or something as the pain I get if I bend them very far is mostly on the insides and just below the joints. Mandy it must have been difficult for your hubby with his work before he had his hips done.
I was a bit achey this morning so haven't been out in the garden, decided to clean the conservatory instead. We are off out to have a carvery soon.... no brekkie this morning to make room for the pud. I think it is difficult whether you are under or overweight. Some people seem to think it is easy to lose or put on but it isn't always the case. Why people have to comment as if you are blind and can't see yourself in a mirror I don't know, all it is is hurtful.
Better go and get the lippy on, OH will be back soon from his errands. BBL

Weather man said last night we were due for some really cold weather, lots of rain and could have some frosty nights, I think we are to have another early winter, we have snow already further up in the highlands of Scotland, Brrrr :-( :-|

Well I should be doing something..... I have a pile of ironing to do but don't feel like it. I have picked a load more tomatoes from the tunnel and courgettes and beans and beetroot to cook for oh. I like mine with vinegar on and oh dos'nt. Have'nt had a beetroot sandwich for ages. I remember having them when I went to tea with a boyfriend.

Mel, Cheese and beetroot sandwich, smashing. I ofter have one on Sunday evening.
Mandy, Wouldn't it be nice to be recycled and come back as a twenty odd.year old. I have finally finished for today, eight barrow loads, and not a bit in the neighbours skip. This is when I could do with a nice hot bath, to ease the aches and pains, will have to make do with the MAID giving me a massage. I SHOULD BE SO LUCKY, LUCKY, LUCKY.
Still a lovely day with plenty of sunshine, but still a cold wind

Winds cold outside!!
Oh has moved the big tree stump over the field and nearer to the bonfire where the other stumps are. Wind must be cold because he has his coat on and thats unusual for him.

Snap Frank.
Think I may do a casserole for dinner after himself being outside sitting on the digger getting cold. That should warm him up.
I might put a chicken one in too and have that tomorrow.
Off to hoover the hall now and do a bit of dusting and I may clean the bedroom windows!!!! Shock horror........... :-S

I must say I love my jeans too and tend to live in them.
Glad your test results were ok Kim. I bet you feel quite relieved about that. It is good that they will keep an eye on things with your blood. How is Miranda now.....did she move in with her boyfriend?
Frank, you must be careful.........you could end up in the shredder!! :-S :-S Sounds as if your neighbour felt he had been a bit mean to you yesterday.
I love beetroot and cheese sandwiches too. I always seem to get the juice on something though!
OH is on his way to Leek now with 3 passengers. He knows the way by heart as he used to manage the office in Leek which is just up the road from where the match is. He has left me the radio, ready tuned in, to listen to him on Radio Leicester later.........hope I don't forget.....says it will be about 1.00am before he gets home.
I thought about going to Grantham this afternoon, but have decided to stay in out of the blustery wind and sort some paperwork instead.
I hope William's wife is getting better after her operation.
Yes, where is Maureen?.........painting?

Doesn't Prince Charles have a 'stumpery' in his garden? All planted up with ferns.
Still sunny here, but the forecast for tomorrow sounds like what Fiona has today. I bet your OH is glad of his coat too Mel......it is much colder than a few days ago. I noticed OH had put his blue woolly hat with his car keys earlier......it's first outing this season.
What is the bird you have seen this morning?

Hi All, glad to hear all the tests were fine Kim, all we need is Fiona to get in and have her op and we should all be fighting fit.
I have been soooooo busy. Son and I have gone into the property development game, bought a repossession house, what a tip, how can people live in such squalor, no prizes for guessing where I was asked to start, son told me I could be head gardener, only gardener more like, it was like a jungle, with brambles and ivy and weeds growing everywhere, have had to work doubly hard to get the lawn seed down quickly before it gets too cold, now I have been demoted to gofor, there is so much to do,new windows, kitchen, bathroom, doors, flooring, it goes on and on, still I do love a big project (just as well).
Did you really end up in the skip Frank, I have this very funny vision of you head first with your legs waving in the air.
Hope Chester is okay Jane. Has Chris finished his jury service now, did he get an interesting case

Wow Maureen.Sounds like a challenge for you lol.I can just picture getting stuck in.Good for you :-D Chris had a case which I can now tell as it is finished. It was a Sexual Abuse case .A 53 year old Step Grandfather and an 11 year old girl :-0 :-0.Not nice. He hasn't been required again since but still has 2 more days to go.He has spent most of today breaking up pallets and other wood for kindling ,and now I have enough to last for months. I bought a new Companion Set (not firearms like I said earlier :-S) and scuttle. So am now ready to light the first fire.I might do that on Friday when our visitors are here.
Chester is fine thanks. These lumps are not causing him any bother ,but just need to come off.
I wear Jeans these days, although they are not my favourite type of trouser. I never wore trousers as a child.I hated them. I think I might see if I an get a pair of black jeans too.I like the stretch ones with straight legs.I need a bit of stretch with my tum lol
Frank ,Chris says thanks but no thanks for helping you in your garden ,he has enough to do here :-D :-D :-D
My eyes have been so itchy and irritated since we had all that smoke around our house last week.I don't know what else would have made them like this.Touch wood there is just a small amount of smoke still coming from the site now.Let's just hope a third fire doesn't occur.
I have been awake since 4 am again.I got up for a wee and just couldn't get back off to sleep.I read my book trying not to disturb Chris (but I think I did) :-|
Frank I love the sound of the Click Clack of knitting needles.I find it quite soothing.I don't know anyone who knits these days.My sister used to some amazing jumpers, but even she has given up. She has had her Inlaws staying for a few days.I think they have gone today.Poor Janice really doesn't like her MIL.I must admit she is not a particularly nice person.Full of critisim and bossy with it :-S.Janice gets cross when her OH doesnt face up to his mum.So I think the atmosphere is always a bit tense lol
I had better start thinking about dinner.I want to be like Ann and go out for a Carvery.
