Afternoon one and all,
Ros is not well today, she got up 8.45 had a slice of toast for breakfast, was sick within the our, and sat on the sofa till NOON. She has gone back to bed, felling low, I will leave her there for the day if that's what she wants.
Have prepared, Rib of beef, on a bed of root veg, ready to roast. Veg all done, pudding and cheese sauce made, as is the gravy. No point in starting anything, if she dosen't want to eat when she wakes up.
My young neighbour has got his ladder out, and cut down a load more branches from the BIG tree. The branches all piled up on the front, ready for me to cut up, and transport to the tip. When I saw the ladder I went round to see him, and said you don't have to do this, he said I wouldn't feel right if you did it and fell of the ladder. What a great lad, A bottle of something will show him a THANK YOU tomorrow. I know he won't be pleased with a gift. but he will have to lump it.
Listening to the radio for a change, Five live. Football.
Nice day here, even though it's turning cloudy, and getting colder. Frost promised for tonight. WINTER DRAWS on girls. :-D :-D :-D :-D

Boring sitting around on your own,but I have my book so can have a read
.Hope you are all getting on with your gardening jobs, while the weather holds.

Hi Everyone. Have not used the computer for a couple of days as my neck and back have been so stiff and sore. Changed my pillow last night and it seems to have helped a little as I can almost turn my neck to the side now. Have been painting scenery this morning but came home early as I do not want things to get worse. Hubby is still there and I do not expect to see him before 6pm.
Jane I hope the smoke has cleared from your lane now and it looked horrendous. Frank Hope Ros is feeling better and you get to eat your beef!!
Fiona Whats a size 6?? Don't think I ever went there. Be back anon :-D :-D :-D

Mandy, When I got married the first time 3rs Oct 1959. We had an indian summer. We went to Jersey for our Honeymoon, and was on the beach every day for two weeks.. But it is so nice to see a spell like this, it will help shorten the winter.

I gave Hannah a frisk lol just to see what she was going off with without me knowing. She has her Red Cross Food Parcel ,including carrots and onions from the garden.
Anne, touch wood we have had no smoke over us today. It is going in the opposite direction. But it is still billowing. :-S :-S,and will be doing that for some days to come I think. It is a fair way from being put out.
It looks like it is clouding up now,but how nice it has been to be able to sit out at this time of the year. We are thinking about putting the heating on in the next day or so.We need it warm for Ethan who is used to Dubai temps !!!!.I will no doubt be sweating cobs lol Frank you could always give your neighbour more tomatoes!!!!!!!.That is good of him to do a bit more on the big tree.He is probably having the heebie jeebies at the thought of you up that ladder :-D :-D

Hi Everyone,
Another nice day here too. This morning I did a big chicken casserole to hot up tomorrow and half to freeze as well. Used our own carrots and potatoes. OH was doing his meeting notes ........reluctantly! :-S Then we went out for lunch and called to see MIL and FIL. MIL said she will sort me out some of her beads and buttons she no longer wants.... for my class. :-D :-D They want us to pick up another 4 bags of gravel for their garden next time we come as we pass the place that sells what they want. MIL's biopsy results show nothing untoward thank goodness and she has to make an appointment to see her GP and take another 'sample'.
When we got home I re-potted my 4 geraniums and put them in the greenhouse.....lovely and warm in there. I had to move my little peanut plant as something has been nibbling it. :-S Also a hole has appeared under the side of the path in there so I think 'someone' is getting a home for the winter ready. Picked a load more toms.
Tomorrow there is a lot to do outside!! Pallets for OH to break up and take to the tip.......wish I knew someone nearby with an open fire. I may have to adjust some of my rocks yet again as I think they need raising as the new patio is higher. Also the electrician pulled quite a few out when he was digging up those old walls and putting his cables in. Trouble is he didn't place them in a row in the order I had them in to fit together, so it will take me a while to sort them out now!
I hope Ros is feeling a bit better again Frank. It is a shame she can't enjoy your tasty dinners.
Looking forward to Downton tonight and the Stephen Fry programme on at the same time which we record. Better go and get some salad for tea now.....feeling peckish!

Kitchen no where near completed. Joiner didn't start until Thursday mid morning unlike the Monday morning planned. Once started he has worked well but the job is only (I estimate) half completed. Will look grand when it's finished. Also have a roofer comming to do pointing on the ridge tiles and to pin 25 slates.
My VW Passat is loathe to start and sluggish until warmed up in the mornings now, unlike me. Thinking of changing it rather than an expensive service.

It's me,
Blood# X FACTOR on again tonight.
Ros got up at about 5 pm. Yes she would like to try a bit of dinner, but not to much. :-| :-| :-| I put the meat in, after an hour put the roasts in, and yorkshire pudding. Most of the veg was done in the Microwave, betteri taste and more flavour. We had dinner about 7 pm. She didn't eat as much as I thought she would, but at least it wasn't wasted. Dishwasher on now, will empty that later.
I think Lewis's going rate for the tooth fairy is £2/3.00. I never got a brass halfpenny when I was a boy. ah I hear you say. lol lol
Ann, you have been a busy little bee again. And eating out AGAIN. you don't do bad, do you ???? lol lol I would think, word of mouth, will see those pallets go to a good use. I got some when I moved in here, and put them on the floor of the garage, where I have some tea chests full of china/glass from Ros'a Mum and Dad keeps the damp away from them. You could put a little card in the local shop, free Pallets.
Trust you sent Hannah home with a "TUCK BOX" Jane. You know how the kids don't feed themselves properly when they are away from home. Your fire was mentioned in our local paper on Sat. getting quite famous around your way.
Thanks again to Mel and Ann for the help with the marriage certificate, what would I do without you.
My next door neighbour (CLUMSY) is having a new kitchen fitted and has a skip on his drive, will have to see if I can put all the branches in it. Will save me a lot of trips with the wheelbarrow.

You are very welcome, Frank. I'm sure it will be interesting! Yes, we don't do bad at eating out lately, but Sundays we usually just go to Mor*isons and I have a vegetable lunch there......even then I have extra veg instead of the potatoes!! lol. Mind you, we'll be breakfasting at a local hotel 1 day next week as we got a half price voucher.......2 brekkies for £8. The full works, juices, yoghurts, fresh fruit, cereals, croissants, the full english with as much as you want, tea, coffee, toast. We won't want anything else that day!! :-D :-D

Morning All,
Well oh got the tree stump out yesterday but it is so big he can't move it much with our little digger. He has rolled it along a bit and has filled in the hole it came out of. It looks so different round the side of the bungalow now.
Dry again this morning but with a breeze and grey skies at present.
Ann what a nuisance that that man did'nt put the stones in the right order after all your hard back breaking work to get them right!! You should have mentioned it to him.
Yes back in my time the tooth fairy left me sixpence. I think my son had a shilling.
We are still getting dragon flies round the pond and they keep getting stuck in the netting oh had put round to stop the heron landing. The times I have had to release them!!
Tiny fish are growing in the tank in the lounge. I did'nt think they would grow much after being in a bigger place but they are doing really well. I have four shubunkins which are coloured already. Dear little souls.
Jane you will be sorry to see your little girl go off on her own again. It must have been so nice to see her over the weekend.
Anne sorry to hear your neck is playing up. It must be all that painting of stage stuff you have been doing.
OH gone to Holsworthy so I better get the dustbins out as he rang me and said he may not be back in time!!

Morning Mel
Very wet and windy day here, glad I have not got to go out for anything.
Daughter no 1 might pop down to collect Sofia's pink buggy, I keep it at my house as It's much lighter for me to push than the red one that they have. But today SIL gone to work in daughters car as SIL car needs to go into the garage to be fixed and daughter has to drop it off , but he forgot to take Sofia's buggy out of the car before he went to work, so daughter needs a buggy to walk home, to far for Sofia to walk and anyway she is still tired with the croup, doctor said it could take up to a week before she's back to normal.

Morning all, Damp drizzle in the air, and the breeze is getting up.
We put a line of washing out earlier, have had to get it in.
Just biting a nail in half !!! Mr Clumsy, with the skip. I saw him in the garden this morning, and ask if I could put the branches on top of the skip. "I DON'T THINK THERE IS ROOM" The bloddy thing is filled with empty box's, which I offered to break down, to make more room. He said "well I have other stuff I want to put in it" I said DON'T BOTHER... All the things I have done for him over the years, He can now get what the TURKEY gets at Christmas. !!!
I will sham him, by getting the wheelbarrow out and cut up the branches and walk them to the tip. When I think he was one of the neighbours who complained about the size of the tree. I should have left it as it was, and said "TOUGH"
Ros is a bit better this morning, I didn't know that she changed her "PATCH" on Saturday, and that could have bought on the sickness bout. Will get another appointment with the Doctor, as they don't seem to be doing any good.
I must get out of the house, I am building up a high pressure, and the valve is likely to blow :-| :-| :-| :-|

FRANK KEEP CALM.Go and walk round the block (or stomp around it). Maybe when your neighbour has finished putting what he wants in his skip there will be room for your logs. Good that Ros is feeling a little better today.
I am definitely off to that bank now
