I have just found a rellie on the new Railways employment thingy on Ancestry. Very interesting.

Afternoon All
Raining ,gray day here,
Well I saw the surgeon this morning and we have made a date for my gallblader operation for the 2nd of November , to be at hospital for 6.30am on the Wednesday morning for going down to theatre at 8.00am, he says it's best to get it over and done with early so I am not having to sit around all day waiting,
Now the date is set I am feeling very nervous and scared, But at last it will be over and will be hopefully back to a normal food diet for christmas, looking forward to eating OH Christmas trifle :-D :-D lol.
I Will have to stay in hospital overnight unfortunatly, not keen on that but I supose they have to keep an eye on me and make sure I eat something before I can get out.

Bought some Christmas cards today, our M&S is all decorated for Christmas and the shop was full of woman already dashing about.

I have spent more than 3 hours down with Fitz.I cannot believe he has not been affected by the smoke.I t has just about managed to bypass his house and garden.We sat in the garden for the whole time with beautiful blue sky and Buzzards flying above,I come back up the lane to be faced by choking fumes :-S :-S :-S
I have just stuck some sheets of newspaper over the fireplace to try and stop the smell coming down the chimney.I dead to think what it is like for the people at the bottom of the road as you can barely see anything down there.Have sent you all 1 pic which I think will show how bad it is today.It stinks :-| :-|

at the evening despatch my brother had it for years and passed it on a few months ago.

I had a fall yesterday fell over the dog he ran out into the road and then shot back in front of me and I fell over him banged my back and cut my face and nearly did the splits most painful. I have a sore back and a sort of bad cut on my cheek under my ear.

April is eight now Jane nine next January she acts more like twenty
today she phoned me and said gran would I look nice in a bikini if I had a shave somewhere I said what really April she said whats wrong I have lots of black hairs on my legs I had a real turn for a minute.i said well why did you not say your legs instead of somewhere.she said oh Nannie
silly I do not have hairs on my tummy. I said no well lets change the subject April what is your bikini like and she said white with lime green polka dots .

i have donated a brooch of aunties for cancer well I collected last year but cannot do that this year.

Frank it does you good to blow your top sometimes and swear I say worse
me mum will tell me off if we meet in the after life. But in your case perhaps its not wise to get too worked up over things but you do wonders helping your wife and the things you do.


Jane that smoke sounds awful remember when we got smoked out with that setee that got set alight.

Beryl was round this afternoon crying did console her with a new jumper
I bought and did not like she loved it so gave it her. Her daughter told her about Donnie and she wanted to know what is new women was like. My hubbie said she had a ring through her nose he proberly hands her up when he s finished with her. I had to push him out the door.

Sorry Les said he proberly hangs her up after hes finished with her not hands he was being rude thats why I got rid of him.

Poor little Katie is still really chesty with the croup, she's not sleeping very well at night and poor DIL is tired too.

Went to Tesc*'s and bought Jake a couple of boxes Leg* for christmas , they should have been half price ,but when i looked at my till receipt they had charged me full price for them , i thought i had spent a lot !!

I took my receipt to the customer help counter and i wasn't the only one who had been over charged there was a lot of others too, in the end we got a refund for the whole cost of the Leg* ,so i got both boxes free !!!

Poor Beryl, i bet she wishes she had treated Donnie a little better now , do you think she would have him back now if he gets fed up with the other woman ?

Evening All,

What a lovely sunny day it has been. We had fun in our class this morning doing a corded necklace. I had major problems as my cord wouldn't go through my beads and I was under the table chasing them a lot of the time!! lol The girl next to me was the same and we kept banging heads. I ended up borrowing a couple of beads from someone else and doing a 'simple' affair!! Next time I shall take ALL my beads. We did some crocheting wire adding beads to practice for the bracelet we are doing next time. Phew.....at least I know how to crochet!!

Hooray!! :-D You have your date Fiona and not long to wait so less time to think about it. A few weeks to get back to a normal diet before that trifle appears too!! lol

Liz, what you say rings bells with me about not being able to get as much done as you used to. I look at the garden and think how fast I would have got it done once! Now I have to rest up a bit the next day if I do much!!

Frank I'm sure Ros knows what to expect when you have these 'moments' but it can't be nice for her as you say. A short walk might help relax you if it is in the daytime.

Jane you need a gas mask!! lol

I just took a peek out the back door and I could smell "FRESH AIR'.It was lovely.Not sure how long it will last.some poor other people will have the stink now.Ann I actually wet a bit of Kitchen paper and held it on my nose earlier.
Chris thought I was being a bit dramatic :-| :-|,but it did make a difference.

Lol Sheila.I hope your face isn't too sore .I fell over my old dog some years ago and fell flat on my face on the patio(it had nothing to do with the fact I had been to a New Year party) ;-) ;-) ;-) I was Black and Blue all down the right hand side of my face for 2 weeks!!!!!!.Not sure that people believed the story about falling over the dog ,but that is what happened.

Chris has gone off to bed.Is up early for first shift in Flu Clinic.He has a case at court that is playing on his mind.I think it is a rape or sexual 'type' of case as the victim is doing things by video and has not been in court.It will continue ,on Monday.I have been champing at the bit to find out what the case is ,but good on him he is sticking to the rules and cannot (will not) discuss it .
I am looking forward to seeing Hannah tomorrow.It seems so long since I last saw her.

Seems a lot cooler out side tonight , we have been having our bedroom window open these last few nights ,think we might have to close it tonight .

Perhaps the wind has changed and its blowing the smell the other way Jane.

My arthritis has been playing me up in my left foot , must be the cooler weather !!

Good morning, good morning, good morning, what a beautifull day it is today, wall to wall sunshine with a cloudless blue sky.

Did a lot of weeding up the border yesterday afternoon and put some small plants in and a new delphinium. Don't know what colour it will turn out to be as I bought it in Morr*sons for a £1. Can't think of the name of the small plants yet this morning!!! They are biannuals and flower in the early summer. Smell nice! Gosh what are they called???????????????? Now I know I am getting old..... Ahh got it Sweet Williams!!

I wonder what delights will come up in the spring in Liz's new garden??

Hope all are feeling a little less achey today or calmer.

Fiona not long to wait now then. It will be good to get it over before Christmas and think of all the lovely things you will be able to eat after the op. Good luck for the 2nd.

As you say Mel, wall to wall sunshine. Haven't ventured out yet, but feel a lot more relaxed this morning after a "DAY OFF"
Ros has popped off to meet her friend, for a couple of hours. I will try to put in a few more Tulips in the front garden this morning. I think it will have to be a little when I feel like it.and then pack up. :-| :-| :-| It will never get done at that rate.

Glad the smoke has cleared for you Jane, has it died down sgain now ???

Mel, You aren't OLD just feeling that way lol lol Sweet williams were always grown in Dad's garden, as were PINKS and "BUNNY RABITS" Ros's Dad was a great DALIAH grower. use to put broom handle in a row. then the little plants. It did look strange, people thought he was growing "BROOM STICKS" The blooms were the size of dinner plates.

Has been sunny and warm here today, but cool again tomorrow.

Jane, we had thick smoke all afternoon - I think the fire brigade were doing a cool burn somewhere near here before the summer months arrive. Hope that fire burns itself out soon.

Sheila sorry to read about your fall, you will be really sore for a few days. Your hubby is so funny, not that Beryl would have appreciated his wit and what a kind friend you are to give her that jumper. I suppose she did need to know what Donnie has been up to. I hope life settles down a bit for her now. I love your new photo taken with your friend, what a couple of stunners!!!!!

Fiona it's good that you have a date for your operation. You will be so relieved when it is all over. Recovery is pretty quick if you are having keyhole surgery. Hope it all settles down for you and life gets back to normal.

I've got to do all that yucky preparation for my tests, so I'll have a cuppa and a biscuit before all that liquid, vile stuff. Have a good day everyone.

What a lovely day.Fingers crossed our side of the road stays clear today so we can spend some time in the garden.
Chris is at the surgery for 'Flu Clinic'.He should be back soon.I think Hannah is due about 2 so I will nip out and get a few things just before then so I can carry on to the station rather than come home and go again.

Oh ,Chris has arrived bearing 2 flu jabs :-S :-S

It seems funny you talking about Summer Kim as we head towards winter.
