Oh Mel what a to do with your specs :-S :-S.I had a spot of bother with mine this morning.Had them on a chain hanging around my neck when I was bending over the wire fencing to pick Dwarf Beans and I got them caught up in the fence when I went to stand up straight.I broke the chain and bent one of the arms out.When I went to Tes** I popped into the opticians dept and the lady put them right for me.

I feel a bit chilly and think I need to put something a little warmer on.I've just got a thin cotton top on.

Frank lets hope the new lot of painkillers are helpful for Ros
Chester is snoring Norman in his bed.I think it must be all the excitement of have his 'girlfriend' visiting lol

No Liz today.I do hope all is quiet on the NFH front.I think it must only be about 5 or 6 days to go now.

Menu tonight.....Lightly Dusted Cod,Cauliflower Cheese,New Potatoes and runner and dwarf beans.
James is having Mexican Chicken Stirfry.He can cook that himself !I know the smell of it will make me all sweaty and my throat peculiar.

Evening All,

Phew, our electrician has just gone!! A lovely chap but he can talk for England!!!! He is going to put the cable and switching in for the pond pump and lights. He was here for nearly 3 hours and my feet are killing me standing all that time........sent him off with a couple of our cues! lol OH will be pleased he was out and missed him.

Thanks for sending me Kim's pics folks.........looked like everyone had a good time. Kim, if we were going to use the garage for a party I would need 6 months notice to get it cleared out. lol

Mel how infuriating to find it was broken after all that effort. I think the optician must have damaged it putting it in for it to break off like that.

Do you still have to stick to your current diet till then Fiona or do they want you to try a normal diet now?

What a nuisance for Ros with her tooth breaking like that. Lets hope the latest pain treatment combination works better for her.

Speaking of teeth, OH can feel a bit of root again where the last tooth he had out is. He had to go to hospital for them to fetch bits of root out on it already.....looks like he may have to go back.

I went to the Drawing and Painting taster session this morning. The chairs were so comfy......bliss!! There were only 4 of us, all ladies and it seems the proper course will be mostly drawing.:-S :-S We had to practice using our pencils in various ways and then the teacher produced a piece of fruit each for us to draw. I got a plum to do!!!! lol Mandy.......behave!! I can hear you!! lol They need at least 7 of us to be able to run the course so it doesn't look promising. Tomorrow is my last one on jewellery making with beads. I'm looking forward to that.

Shattered! :-( We have been moving the chickens, House and run so they are now out the back of the bungalow on nice grass. OH is going to flatten their old run out and reseed it over the winter. He pulled the chicken house along with the digger going backwards. I had to move a bit of fence to let him in with the digger and out the other side. Then I had to get the chickens in the run. All but one followed a nice tarail of bread and the last one just would'nt go through the gate posts!! I had a devil of a job to catch her, but did in the end and popped her over the fence with the other 7. They all went happily into their house tonight and I hope they are not too upset and go off lay. They were enjoying the nice grass in the new run though, could'nt pek it quick enough.

I was also cleaning out the old fish tank. Washed all the gravel and under gravel filter as I am going to have my baaby fish in it over the winter.

Dishing up now. He has chicken and mushroom casserole with rice and I have roast teddies parsnips runner beans and carrot.

Fingers crossed all goes well for your son when he moves in.
Those seals were lovely ,but so sad to see one all tangled around it's neck with fishing net,and another with a wound on it's side.

James has offered to pick his friend up at East Midlands Airport tonight.It is an hours drive from here and the flight is due in about 11 or just after.So he won't be back until about 1am.I think I will have to let him sleep in for a while tomorrow.
I'm watching Billy Connelly's Route 66.I think he is great.Such a character.

Was at Freeman Hospital today seeing a specialist about the pains in my R knee.

X rayed twice. Seems there is "moderate" arthritis in the knee but the problem comes from the hip joint.

Didn't do it any favours subsequent to the 1994 RTA :-S

David ,does that mean you just have to put up with the pain in your knee?Is it the result of the way you have walked after your accident,which has put pressure on the knee?Would Acupuncture help I wonder?

James has gone to pick up his mate at the airport.He just mentioned before he left he has a wedding to go to the weekend after next,on a ship I think it is called HMS Gannet based in Kent.It is an old ship and you can see it on google.

Not a lot to report here...Sun is shining at the moment,,should be a good day..

I have to go into work earlier today seeing it is frida
Hubby had to uncover the boxed in pipes in bathroom yesterday..Trying to see what has happened to the water pressure on our hot taps..
The nice painters had filled the screw holes in before painting so we had a job to find them..
We bought a new shower hose etc at the time...he is going to change the shower head for a smaller one and see if that is better..THe big one is a big awkward..so will see what happens.

We tried getting compensation from nerxt doors insuers but no go...got a letter back yesterday..

But we did manage afew weeks back to get some money from our loss adjuster..Because we didnt move out they paid us £500 instead of a months accomendation so all helps towards the final bill when it arrives.

I hope everyones aches and pains soon start to get sorted..Soon as one starts to feel better another ones starts...Im glad im not in alot of pain like you others...I dont know how you cope... but then it seems you just get on
and dont let it take you over.. <3

Not much to report here either Pat,

Cold around the bungalow at 6.45 this morning so put the C H on for an hour. Suns up and looks a nice day. Might do a bit more "LUMBER JACKING " this morning. Ros filled my wheelbarrow with garden rubbish, so I will have to e3mpty that before I can start.

Pat I will send on the photo's, I bet you get everybody doing it. Thats why I mentioned it.

Where's the wedding Jane ?? CHATHAM DOCKS. My day was there as a young man in 1901. when he joined the Navy.

raining and windy again, got some ironing to keep me busy this morning, OH back home around 2.30, so we might go and do the weekly shopping earlier than normal, I must remember to get MIL a birthday card for next week 29th.

Better get on with the ironing or OH will think I done no housework since he's been away.

Just a flying visit now ,as I have just made a hair appointment to get my colour done at 11 o'clock !!
I guess the wedding is at the docks as I think the ship is permanently there Frank.I will find out more no doubt.

Morning and it's another dry one here but there are grey clouds in the sky which look quite menacing.

Chickens look really happy in their new run with grass instead of weeds. and I can see them all at a time now.

OH has just been fishing in one of my reflecting pools and he has caught 11 baby goldfish. There are two that are definatly shubunkins as they are already coloured. He is going to do the next one now!! He has them in a big jar at the moment from the pond food. Then we are going to fill the tank in the lounge and pop them in. Don't know if they will come out on camera but I shall try.

Iv'e now got 20 baby godfish!! 4 coloured ones.

jUST HAD A DISARSTER!

Never tried the tank to see if it leaked. IT DID.

Have to go and buy another tank now!
