Afternoon All,
Rainy here now and very autumy. OH is on his way to a match at Boston and doing a radio report at 6.30pm, so I've been told to listen!!! lol
Sorry to hear you have been in such pain Kim and have not had good test results. Hope the next ones are better and that that good doctor of yours can help. The party sounds as if it was a great success.....look forward to seeing a pic of Keith.
Frank that is a serious train hobby!! How the other half live, as you say. I think OH quite fancies the idea of a model train track around the garden at times! Mind you, when he was little he used to run and ask his mum to tell his dad to let him play with his train set!!! lol I don't think he used to get much of a look in when FIL got the contols!! lol
My BTM feels quite bruised today after perching on that awful stool last night. The woman next to me burst out laughing when I told her it was affecting my 'artistic flow'. lol We all drew and cut out card butterflies and then stuck cut up bits of coloured paper on them like you would bits of tile to get the hang of it. I might have a go doing a picture like that. We were shown pics of what some people had done with tiles/mirrors/buttons......fantastic. The next free session is the drawing and painting one. At least that is at a little community centre so the chairs should be more comfy.......if we sit down that is.
I've been much better remembering my daily thyroid tablet since I got one of those plastic box things with daily compartments. I do wish they would mark the tablets with the days though........it would save having to have the box thing. Mel it feels awful when your heart races doesn't it.....can be hard to get to sleep too. I hope it soon calms down.
Liz your NFH beggars belief. Fancy thinking YOU were responsible for providing HIS privacy!! He should put fences/trees/shrubs his side of the boundary to do that. Not long to go now!!!! :-D :-D
Jane I came home from my hols with a new toothbrush!! Can't believe I forgot it after all the 'lists' I do. Thanks for your pics. I was looking to see your new walking shoes in the one where you are battling the wind (sorry.....should have put 'breeze'!! :-0) but your feet weren't there!!
Teresa, it sounds as if you are busy. It is surprising what you can grow in a small area as you say. Runners are always a good bet and can be picked young and tender. We just have a small wigwam with about 10 plants, but there are plenty for the two of us.
OH got his wrists slapped yesterday. To quote him, he 'took the bull by the horns and decided to cut the tomatoes back'. I thought he had been removing the sideshoots (good), but he had scalped most of the leaves off too!! (not so good :-S) Now he knows to leave some leaves to feed the tomatoes!!

Oh I hadn't spotted your last post Liz. I just can't believe your NFH!!! Mandy is right about it becoming harrassment now........beyond a joke. I suppose your solicitor will have to reply to them, so I hope he sticks something in to the effect that if you lose your sale because of them you will be seeking compensation from them. They are obsessed aren't they.
Maureen, those tarts sound tasty and quite easy to do so I might try some. It is just a free 'taster' session for beginners painting and drawing that I am going on on thursday. Then you can decide whether to sign up for the course. I'm quite nervous about it......there could be paint blobs everywhere!! lol
David, maybe the blood tests are to see what the infection is if the ear is infected so they know what to treat it with? Can you hear better with the other ear now?

That's a good idea Ann, I wish they did something like that here, of course if you fancied Bangra dancing there'd be no problem ...lol
Don't be too hard on your OH, I watched Monty Don the other week and he said to strip the plants of the leaves then all the energy goes into the tomatoes.

Those NFH sound as they have nothing else to do in their miserable lives other than sh** stir Liz.I wonder if they have any friends???.You are almost there now. Maureen all that food sounded lovely, and a great idea for everyone to bring something.
I definitely had my boots on Ann.I have to say they are very comfortable.I stuck a bit of padded felt on my heels just in case they rubbed.I wore them a lot (which pleased Chris lol)They will now be my dog walking shoes in bad weather.I will get a pic of them for you. A toothbrush eh!.lol the things we buy.Thrilling aren't they :-D.I usually like to buy myself a new pair of earrings on holiday but didn't see any that took my fancy this time. Mandy I hate peeling any onions. Not just because of the tears but I can't stand the smell of them on my skin.I always wear disposable gloves which makes `Chris roll his eyes. :-( It is a filthy afternoon.Heavy drizzle now and all my towels are hanging heavy on the line :-S :-SI did more ironing Mel but still have a fair bit to go But I'm not doing anymore today. James has had some kind of viral thing for the past few days, feeling dizzy, woozy and headache y.Jess (who is still here) has just come down to say she feels a bit peculiar now.She has put off going home for the last couple of days just to stay a bit longer, but she really has to go tomorrow.I hope she is alright to travel on the coach and then train. She is back at uni next week and needs to move into her new accommodation .
I have a huge Chicken Casserole on the go.All I need to do is Mash .Yum Yum :-D

Well, I've been doing it wrong but I shan't tell him Maureen. We have some gardening programmes recorded still to watch........if we watch that one and Monty says that heaven help me!! lol I just checked, no Bangra Dancing around here......I bet there is in the city though.
I love my walking boots Jane, feet all cosy and dry wherever you walk. Now they seem a bit tight in width so I think that is the first thing for my Santa list. I always like a peek in jewellery shops on my hols.....see different stuff to home.
Getting dark here, summer really seems to be ending now. The paper this morning said we could have snow at the end of next month and that it will be a cold winter again. Another sign of autumn........we caught a mouse in the loft this week.

Mandy!! lol I'll have you know I am very suited to nursery class anyway!!! :-D :-D Shan't show you my butterfly now!!! :-P As for the stools, they were above waist height for a few of us and the sharp edges of the seat cut the circulation off under your thighs so your leg went dead as well apart from them wobbling. I felt more like drawing an instrument of torture than a butterfly!!! lol OH said they often have to sit on small children's seats with their knees under their chins at the primary school governors meetings.
I'd never even thought of wearing those gloves to do onions. Good idea.

Thank goodness it was a college with older pupils!! Mental note made not to go to classes at primary schools. Oh heck, I never thought about toilets.........never mind low doors.......I would need 'assistance' getting up from low toilets with my knees!! lol

Hmmmm.........now where did that butterfly go?? I wonder what that interesting snack was that Chelsea had??
Sounds like you were living in the rainforest with that big tree Maureen. Has your son cut it completely down or have you left any of it. I imagine the branches would make quite a mess with leaves and twigs when they came down. I bet it looks very different too without it. I have never seen a walnut tree. Do the walnuts have a fleshy green covering like almond nuts do?
Off to get a cuppa and watch some tv now.

High stools are not good for us shorties.Getting on them is a trial and then sliding down off them. It's no fun is it,as it can't be done elegantly .It's climbing a mountain to get on lol As for small chairs to sit on at parents evening in Primary school How ridiculous do you feel (and look) :-S :-S, and as for the toilets well I say no more lol Talking of toilets ,dashing out to the outside loos at primary school in the winter!!!!.A stone built thing a bit like a cow shed, with the stalls. Not a nice place to go ;-).Never spent too long in there.I think I used to hang on until I got home if I could.

Hi Everyone.
I remember the senior outside school loo's Jane , awful places to go when it was snowing, always smelled of smoke from the girls who had a sly cigarette during break, my biggest problem was getting on and off those side seats on the buses, being a very shortie person I had to nearly jump on to the seat and my leg's swung while the bus was moving and going round corners I had to hang onto the metal post,
we have bar stools in our kitchen at the moment and it's hard work for me to get on them, my family joke on about having to pick me up and put me on the stool. :-D :-D
Ann, Chelsea's snack sounds weird, my oldest daughter used to come home from school and say she had tea bags in tomato sauce for lunch, took awhile for us to realise she ment raviioli. lol

Ann, would it have been JAMIE BREAD. bread and jam.
All this talk of toilets, We boys never had any trouble.
Horrible wet day here, got dark before it got light :-D :-D :-D
Liz, I told you last week it was time for a Solicitors letter. What absolute B~~~~~S they are. How many days to go???
Have been on Ebay bidding on TULIP BULBS most are in 10s and I have got one lot for 10p another lot for 80p still looking at another 100. Ros wants to do a display in the front garden. Hope I can find some space. I put in loads of Daffs ,Tulips, snowdrops and crocus last year. Will certainly give a good show. If they all come up.
Mel like you I have done nothing today, other than make tea, and do dinner tonight. Will make up for it tomorrow, if I feel like it.
Have you finished that ironing Jane.
David, I must be coming out in sympathy with you. My right ear feels bunged up. Think I will ring the nurse tomorrow, for her to have a look. at it, don't want to get like you. !!
Where's the Murder Jane ????

I just looked and it was at Burton Latimer Frank, Albert Street. A 45 year old man was stabbed in some flats after arguments were heard. A 37 year old woman has been arrested. We never used to hear about so many stabbings years ago.
On the subject of crime, Ros's railway friends need to take care. I just read that a half ton model steam train and a smaller one have been stolen from a shed on Whissendine Sports field near Melton Mowbray. The thieves bolt cropped the padlocks and pushed them 200 yards to a waiting van. The fools would have a real job to sell them I would think. I hope they don't intend selling them for the scrap metal!! It said they were worth £9,500.
