Mel Fairy Godmother Report 17 Sep 2011 18:45

Back from my bell ringing and shopping afterwards. When I got home and went to let the bantams out one of them had her head stuck between two concrete blocks in their run. I don't know how long she had been there, poor girl. She did'nt look very happy for quite a while just standing there with her little beak open a bit.

Fiona hope you feel better tomorrow. Must have been all the excitment of Sophia's birthday.

Mandy give Chelsea my love for her birthday and hope she has a lovely day too.

I had a small teaset when young andit too was china and yellow in colour. I loved to make tea in the little pot on a Sunday morning and take it in to mum in bed.

Frank I can't open the file you sent!! Can you download it and then send it again please. I could open the picture ok.

Coooeeee!!!!!! I'm back.
Just popping in very quickly now.I haven't read all the posts ,just the last day .
We have had a brilliant week, even with those gales !!! which were pretty bad.
Thanks for pics everyone.Pat's Kitchen!!,Sofia's Birthday and Ann's hols.
It looked lovely where you were Ann.I have so many pics I will have to go through them just to pick out a few to send. There is one distressing one of a seal with a load of netting or something around it's neck.
(Please say if you don't want that one). That was on the Farne Islands and the Seal Colony. There were so many seals ,and the were really quite funny.Inquisitive!
It just is so sad to see what discarded things at sea can do to the wildlife.
Happy Anniversary for tomorrow Ann,and Birthday wishes to Chelsea.

I know I must have missed loads here. Will try and catch up.Or if there is anything important can someone let me know please!!
Must sort out washing etc now.Back to normal :-S :-S.
Chester is home in the morning :-D :-D :-D

Morning everyone,

It's a lovely sunny day here ,bit chilly first thing though and foggy !!

Happy Anniversary to Ann and OH ,hope you both enjoy your day out where ever you decide to go <3

Jane , Chester will be excited to see you ,does he sulk ? Toby does if we've left him ,he turns his back to us as if to say i don't want to know you.

We've been to see Chelsea ,and take her presents ,she was so excited with all her things ,she didn't know what to play with first , we're going later this afternoon for her birthday tea .

Mel, i kept waking in the night too, i was hot as i put the duvet back on the bed .
On Holiday with mum and dad years ago ,we went into Exeter and got lost we had heck of a job to get back out ,as we couldn't see which lane we had to get into and kept going round and round !!

Just having a lazy day today ,we would have liked to have gone to Sheringham as there is a forties weekend on at the station ,everyone dresses up forties style.

Time for a coffee

I'm here Mandy.Just looking through almost 1,000 photos we took between us on holiday.!!!!!!! How mad is that.I am trying to decide which ones to send you all. It's a funny old day here now weather wise.Looks very black at times ,but not a breath of wind.
Have you a pic of Franks cat.I didn't seem to get one.Poor old thing sounds like he may have dementia now .Sitting and sleeping in strange places.
How is Toby? I saw you mentioned him being sick on the carpet.
Everyone in Northumberland has dogs!!! Not just 1 ,maybe 2 or 3 !!.Mainly Border Terriers and Border Collies.Dog bowls outside shops .A very dog friendly county.
I just loved it there.I think I probably wasn't too far away from where David lives.

Liz what a nightmare you are having.Your NFH sounds like there may be a 'screw loose'.Make a note of anything he does!!!!.I has taken me a while to remember what NFH stands for lol

I have missed so much in a week.
William,I hope all goes well for your wife on Tuesday(not sure what she is having done)
David,Ralph has been through the mill the last couple of years.i hope he is ok.
Kim,if you are looking in.Sorry you are still not good.Am thinking of you.

Shirl ,good luck to your son ,I hope he stays well and copes living on his own again.
I know I must have missed out people.I love you all ;-).WHO USED TO SAY THAT????

I think Fitz is popping in soon so will go for now.

Wow !! that's a lot of photo's ...will take you ages to look through them all.

Toby seems fine now ,i think it was just an off day ...i have to watch him with the little ones as they do tend to give him some of their sweets :-S

Did you wear your boots out :-D or are the soles as good as new :-D

Just getting on with the packing and counting the hours!!! Talked to Laura this am, she, like you Jane thinks that NFH has a bolt loose, however, there is absolutely NOTHING that they can do to prevent us going although I wouldn't be surprised if they tried for an injuction!!! Nice neighbour thinks that they are clutching at straws and of course FURIOUS that they took their eye off the ball which allowed us to escape! Obviously all the acusations that we cut down their holly tree, a mature, (non-existant) Beech hedge, and several shrubs, and re-aligned the bank of the drainage ditch, ALL of which have been 'made up' to enhance her claim, will have to be dealt with after we go if they persue it. The fact that we have gone will somewhat take the edge of these claims, as it was obviously being done to create a serious problem and prevent us selling! not so effective once we've gone! What a nightmare. Laura said to stop worrying and get the hell out of here! Glad you had a good hols Jane dispite the weather, bet Chester will be glad to be home! Weather here today really AWFUL, almost non-stop rain and intermittant high winds. Must away to see to the Chicky-B roasting in the oven!!!

Jane

Jane Report 18 Sep 2011 18:06

Liz ,as Laura says get the Hell out lol.I have to say I think your neighbour must be 'Barking'.I will keep everything crossed now for you.
Mandy ,Thanks for Franks pics .bless dear old puss.
Yes I did wear my new shoe/boots.and they were really comfy.(Thank Heavens) ;-)I would never have heard the last of it if they were uncomfortable and I was moaning lol.
The Hadrians wall trip was a total disaster!!!!!!!!!!!.We took the wrong road and went cross country .3and a half hours later we arrived. It was blowing a flipping gale and pouring.
Must get Dinner in now.

Afternoon All,

Big, black clouds here now, been a lovely sunny day too. Thanks for your good wishes Mandy and Jane........and welcome back Jane after your hols.

Happy birthday to Chelsea........hope she takes care of the 'money' for her till!! Hmmm the children have found Toby can't say no to a sweet then. lol

We were having a nice lazy lie in this morning when all hell broke loose outside. Children screaming and grown ups shouting. We got up to take a look and our neighbour over the road's 3 grandchildren were screaming and running in all directions with our nextdoor neighbour's dog tearing about over their neatly planted borders in hot pursuit. It is a spoiled, but harmless little Shih Tsu and eventually the owner came out, but was useless at catching him as the dog ignores everything she says. Eventually grandad caught him in their bungalow and returned him while grandma was mopping up the little girl's tears.

We then went out for lunch and had a nice leisurely drive the scenic way to a big garden centre for a browse around. This one has clothes and shoes, and a big aquarium and pet section. They already had some of their xmas trees decorated!!!! OMG. :-0 :-0

That must be a good experience ringing at Exeter Cathedral Mel. I bet those ropes are very long!!! Hope the little bantam is ok today.

Jane, did the postman deliver ok? Any news?

We are out at the cinema tomorrow to see the new Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy film, then in the evening it is the dreaded Drawing and Painting class I decided to try (in a moment of madness!!). Gawd knows what we will have to do. Still, I keep telling myself it is only 2 hours.

Liz, I would love to be a fly on the wall at your NFH. I bet they thought they could stop you moving for ever by keeping this dispute ticking over. Still, you won't be there much longer. :-D :-D

Frank Report 18 Sep 2011 20:41

Hi it's me.

Got back about 7pm. Had to follow two trucks, for most of the way home. Not to bad as they were travelling at about 45/50 mph.

Nearly lost my rag on Sat, when we arrived at Conrad's. Jan said "when i said come between 4/6 pm" I thought you would have come at 6 !!! I said OH we need to make an appointment to come to see you now, do we. She knew she had said the wrong thing by the look on my face.

Harvey and family came about 7.30. We had a very nice Indian and Chinese meal with all the trimmings, cooked by Conrad. Only Harvey and I drink wine so three bottles was just about right. hic hic. Harvey stayed the night but Lewis was playing football at 10.30 this morning so they had to leave at about 9.00

Ros had a nice PARTY is you can call it that. They had got her presents laid out and a nice birthday cake "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" banners all round the conservatory. We stayed up till pass 12 o'clock I dreampt all night and kept waking up. One dream I was lost in Northampton, and was crawling around on my hands and knees. My neighbour found me and bought me home.

She had a beautiful flower iron work from Harvey and Julia. I will have to hang it on the garage wall by the patio. Conrad and Jan bought her ear rings, a top and leggings. Lewis gave her a nice necklace. I will give her mine in the morning. (PRESENTS JANE)

Glad you had a nice time on your hols, I didn't send all the Emails to you as I didn't want you bunged up with them. SORRY !!! KOJAC use to say "WHO LOVES YOU BABY" is that what you are thinking about. We all love you baby

Mel, will try to download and resend. I have bought a scanner home from Conrad's. I now have the job of trying to set it all up on the computer.

Hope all you ladies who don't feel too good, improve over the next 24 hours.

COUNTDOWN TO DOWNTON 20 minutes.

Jane

Jane Report 18 Sep 2011 22:21

Oh Frank,I forgot it was Ros's Birthday.Belated wishes from me.
I 'm sure she will love your present/s !! in the morning ;-)

No it wasn't Kojack .It is someone else ,I just can't think who.
I am struggling to stay awake watching Downton Abbey.I will have to watch Iplayer tomorrow.
I have the dreaded Dentist in the morning to remove the temp crown and prepare things for the permanent one.Not looking forward to that :-S :-S
I must go to bed.Night Night everyone xx
