Well the sun is out but it must have rained a little somewhere as when I walked in the kitchen to put the kettle on this morning there was a huge rainbow in the sky. OH has gone on his outing so I am home alone as Frank would say!!

Fiona thanks for the pics of Sophia. She did look as though she was really enjoying her day and her cake and pressies. I could even see your fish in the tank. Neons and sissor tails I think or were there lemon tetras. Is'nt Sophia's mum like you!!!!!

Bantams are going to hate me today as they can't come out!!

Morning Everyone,

Bright and sunny and OH has gone up north to a match with a car load of his mates so I am home alone too Mel. Funny you mentioned Fiona's fish as I was trying to see what they were too.......I thought I saw a glowlight tetra and harlequins, penguins, cardinals.......might well be wrong though?? It is my wish to have a tank full of cardinals one day when the garden is all finished. What I did mean to mention was how lush and healthy the plants in the tank looked. I could never get mine to look like that.

Why can't the bantams come out today Mel?

It is our wedding anniversary tomorrow and I fancy a little trip out somewhere but can't decide where to go, also the weather doesn't look too good for tomorrow.

Jane will be on her way back today I think and maybe Anne.

The sun is out here as well..but it must have rained a bit before hand.
Yesterday was lovely here.The evening was very warm..So
hubby and I sat outside with our curry and a glass of wine ..Watched the black clouds come across thought we would have to move quick.Sat listening to the birds settling down for the night.. We only had a couple of spots then it came lighter.

Yesterday afternoon had the Back Boiler serviced.The previous gas man said it need this and that. next time..Only needed one small thing doing to it..passed fine with all the checks...
The man came back yesterday too... to put sealant around the bathroom flooring,,Only the new blinds to be fitted in 2 weeks time..then we can say we are finished..
We are now waiting for the bill from the builders for all the extra work we have had done lol..Shall we keep them waiting long ....like they did for us...

I have contacted Kim on FB she still isint well..and has to have an Ultra scan soon ..just had some more Blood tests done..

Liz I bet you will be glad when the move is over..

Fish are still doing well.. Mel we have 2 gold ghost carp left..we lost 4 of them and a tench? the goldfish comets and shubunkins are holding on.

I have thought of a gro bag to grow things in may try that abother year now..

Thanks for letting us know about Kim Pat. I thought she hadn't been around much. Sorry she isn't well. I wouldn't be in any rush to pay that bill either!!! lol Just the blind to be fitted now then and you will have your house back to yourselves again.

My car passed it's MOT ok thank goodness and after speaking to the mechanics about the anti perforation check I cancelled it. They said galvanised panels should be ok anyway and that the checks were a rip off. One chap said where he had worked before the mechanics would treat those checks as a tea break and then wash the car and charge you for that as well. So that saved me £50!!

Think I will have a tidy up in here next.....FH papers all over the place. OH says he needs some space for his clerking papers too......he has about 5 different schools now.

Had to get Alan to run me down the post office this morning needed to post 2 birthday cards off..One for daughter and one for a grandson..Also made some book marks for other grandchildren so I needed to get things weighed..

We won't be off for an hour or so. Skyped them this morning, said what time do you want us up. Sometime between 4 and 6. Conrad is cooking Indian and Chinese for tonights meal, Harvey , Julia and Lewis are coming up also, and staying the night. So we can have a family day tomorrow.

Glad Kim has been in touch. Please give her my love.

Went for a pint last night, as I walked across the Village Hall carpark I saw a flock of Geese in the night sky, Honking away there must have been 30/40 of them also saw a hedgehog running across in front of me..

The stupid CAT. It's been peeing of rain and he is sat on the Patio table meowing. I had to go out a bring him in. lol lol

Hope you enjoy your time alone Mel, you can do what you want. It's nice really. I LOVE IT.

OH won't recognise it in here when he gets back. I've filled the big paper bin and am having a real good sort out. I can see the surfaces now......might even be able to use the duster at this rate!!! lol Mustn't get carried away though!!

We have geese fly over here from the lake down the road. It amazes me how they manage to honk as well as fly. They sound so happy honking away!

I daren't touch his stuff Mandy OMG I'd never hear the last of it if something was missing either!!! lol He has a sort out of his own, but unlike me manages to keep everything looking tidy anyway.........still he doesn't do most of the 'home' paperwork and he doesn't do FH......so that's my excuse! :-S

I think I'll try that when mine is due for renewal......£20 is better in your pocket isn't it. Little Chelsea took to Nursery like a duck to water by the sounds of it and is loving all the activities they do. Let's hope she carries on loving it.

Hope hailstones aren't headed this way, it has been nice and sunny up to now . I want to pop out and see if I can find something for the wall pots on the front......the bizzy lizzies in there are definately 'past it'!!

Ann, they asked me why i wanted to cancel , i told them i'd had Ance*try a few years and was not sure if i wanted it any more , i then said if there was a discount i might have it for another year ,he then went off and came back with the offer of £20 off ....don't ask ,don't get :-)

I got some Pansies for my hanging baskets and wall pots from the car boot £1-90 for nine plants ,nice healthy little plants.

Must get Chelsea's birthday presents wrapped up now ,we're going to sons and DIL's tomorrow for her Birthday tea.

I'll certainly give it a try......as you say, nothing to lose by asking.

Pansies would look nice in my little pots. They are about face level so the scent would be nice too. There is a car boot a couple of miles away tomorrow so will see if I can be up early. What is Chelsea having for her birthday? I bet she will be excited and watching out the window for you tomorrow!! lol

We've got her a new winter coat ,tops and trousers , the little Shop Till ,which she has repeatedly asked for , colouring book ,a little Tea Set as she loves pouring out cups of tea , and a tub of coloured Beads with thread to make bracelets and necklaces .
Not sure if they are coming here in the morning or if we are going to them, they are only five minutes drive away ,i shouldn't think she'll want to leave her toys ,so it will probably be us going to them.

Off to sisters tonight ,then collecting a Chinese on the way home ,so no cooking tonight , my tummy's rumbling already, think i'll have a biscuit just to ward off the hunger pains !!!!

I have not had a great day today, feeling very tired and run down and my stomach is not too good, so have been in bed most of the day resting,
Glad you finely got the pics of Sofia Mel, yes no1 daughter looks like me poor soul, has had to put up with that all her life people saying wow don't you look like your mum. luckly she didn't take after me in height, I think she is about 5'5 where as you know Im not even 5', she was aways skinny like me to till she had Sofia now she's a size 10 on the top & a 14 on the bottom, too much pasta I say lol

Hope Chelsea has a great birthday tomorrow Mandy, I love watching little ones open pressies and blow out the candles on the cake, do you know what her cake is going to be.Sofia had a Tea set but at the time I was looking for a plastic one I made the mistake of picking up a china one, she played ok with it for a while then dropped the tea pot and it broke so I managed to buy a new one out of Sain**rry's, it has a plate with 2 slices of pretend toast , she loves feeding her dolls with it


OH gone to pick up daughter no 2 boyfriend then daughter no 2 from work and take them to Edinburgh to catch the bus to Inverness,
It's Boyfriends gran's 80 birthday tomorrow so they are going to boyfriends parents hotel where there is to be a party for her tomorrow.

I need to go and make some tea for myself

Chelsea's having a Disn*y Princess Cake ,i think DIL got it from Tes*o's £10 and they are not very big ,there's nothing to them really is there ,they all icing and just a little cake underneath , but that's what she has asked for , i think son would have liked to have made one for her really , he likes baking .
Got the camera charged up so hope to get some photo's .

Chelsea will have a great day tomorrow with all those pressies. I loved my little tea set.......she will be pouring you all a cup!! Then charging you for it with her new till!!!! lol

Sorry you have felt unwell today Fiona......an out of sorts tummy always makes me feel tired.....best to rest like you have done. Hope you feel better soon.
