Hi Everyone.
Iv'e been on the computer to this afternoon, doing some research on my Steven ancestors who were born here in the same town where I live. One of them a young girl of 20 marries a fellow then has twin girls who die with in the next 2 years and then she and her family emigrate to canada where her husband become a gold prospector , unfortunatly my ancestor has another 2 babies and dies shortly after the second one is born, her husband re-marries and I find one of his decendants has written his story about his gold prospecting days and I found it on the webb really interesting to read.

Frank ,I never get drunk lol ,just maybe a little tipsy ;-)I did get drunk when I was in my teens!!!.Not sure how I survived really when I think back. But I am here to tell the tale (as they say)..
I think I will pack my wellies!!!!.Sunday looks pretty grim.I just want at least one good day to see the Puffins on Farne Islands.(Must pack sea sick tabs) :-S :-S
I think I have just about done my packing .Lots of interruptions this afternoon.Fitz returning the hair drier and staying for 1and a half hours ,then my Sister ringing.I'm all over the place lol.I do get very stressed when getting ready to go away, and I know I drive everyone nuts.
I will chill once we are in the car and are on the way.

Fiona that is just such a sad story about your ancestors. But fascinating at the same time.
Must get on (again) :-(,and I have to think about dinner too!!!!.

Ellen's been telling me some thing rather sad.
A young couple with 2 children bought a bungalow we looked at.

Seems the husband (I'm told) had a flu vaccination recently.
Somehow or another he has become paralysed.

David ,that is awful for the poor man and his family.Seems a strange time to have a flu jab though.
Well I have driven Chris away to bed,as he got fed up with me cleaning things lol.I know I am an absolute pain before going away. It's like something comes over me and I have to start a spring clean !( well not quite)
It is so strange without Chester here.No-one needs to stay up to let him out for a wee .
I will pop in quickly in the morning before we go.
Night Night x

Hello all,

Half sunny, half cloudy and much cooler. Just got the sheets out while the breeze is blowing.

Pat thank you for those photos. I love your new kitchen and the red panels. It has all come up beautifully. You must be so happy because it was a real mess beforehand. Cupboards and the long handles look great and the gray tiles complement everything. Well done girl!!!!

Mandy such a pretty photo with the butterfly perched right in the middle and all the lovely colours. You have a really nice garden.

Jane enjoy your break with Chris. I must Google to see where you are going. OO ROO means goodbye or farewell. Poor Chester is going to miss his mummy. Hope you got all the packing done eventually. Safe travelling!!

David that is sad for the young man and his family. I have heard of that happening before and I know a few out here it has happened to. Long recovery and hospitalisation sometimes. Poor fellow!!!

OH washing windows at the moment so they are clean for next Saturday's party. Glenda's birthday tomorrow. Keith popped out and bought her a card and some flowers. I hope she can enjoy her day, first birthday without Rod. She has really gone into a shell, isolating herself completely from all of us. I miss her!!!

Frank would love some of your energy. Must go and fold some washing. I get the guilts a bit when I spend too much time on here.

Have a good day - Ann must be due back soon??? 3.16 pm EST

Morning/Afternoon,

Funny sort of day here. Very windy and clouds rolling passed. Quite warm outside.
We have got a line of washing out, so have to keep an eye on it.

Ros feeling very sicky this morning, she can't understand why. Nothing she has eaten different to me.

Pat, Sorry about my JOKE. the kitchen looks wonderful, and bright and airy.

I thought our Jane was going to be on the road by nine this morning ???
Behind like a puppy's tail.

Mel, I trust your poor little tootsies are feeling a bit better today. Give them a good soak, and cream them up. Wear some cotton socks, and try not to walk on them to much today.

Sunshine and showers today, at least it stayed dry this morning while I was wandering around the boot sale. I shall really miss them after next month as they stop until next March, don't like the indoor ones, too cramped.

Hope Jane got off alright, fingers crossed the weather will be kind, although an umbrella won't be much use if we get the winds the forecasters are promising.

Not worth starting anything now so I think I'll try and print a photo off of my grandaughter, have a shelf with photos of all the grandchildren on but Charlotte is very elusive, doesn't like her photo taken but I'm sure I've got one on this computer somewhere, bought a lovely frame this morning too.

I got a letter from my Doctor yesterday inviting me to allend a flu vaccination clinic next Thusrsday evening or Saturday morning.

Thank I will pass on it.

If it's been a bad batch of vaccine caused the mans problem, the Doctors who used it ought to advise those who received it?

Afternoon everyone,

Been out most of the day at sisters while hubby did some plastering for them ,its so muggy here , we're off out tonight with sister and BIL for a meal ,certainly won't need a jacket on.

Pat ,your kitchen looks smashing ,what a difference in the before and after photo's !!! you have every right to be pleased with it !!

Mel, i was pleased with the butterfly photo ,its not easy to get a close up like that they usually fly off , i don't know what sort it is , Frank thought it might be a moth , Anne would probably know.
I'd give your feet a good soak in some salt water , that will help them , SIL always swore by salt water , her hubby once asked her if she had shares in a salt mine !!!LOL

Hope everyone has a good evening , off to sort out what to wear for tonight, might be on later if we're not to late home .

So you are getting as bad as Fiona, Mandy. Always out and about. Hope you enjoyed your meal. By now you will be tucking in !!

When we had a cold, mum would put our feet in a mustard bath. (BOWL) If it did any good I don't remember.

David, We are booked for our flu jabs first week of October. Have never missed it, so won't start now. Must have been unusual for someone to be affected by it. !!!

Weather forcast not good for Northern England and Scotland for the next few days. Jane will be blown back to Kettering if she not carefull :-D :-D :-D

Red and Black on TV followed by X factor. Good old Ebay will keep me company for a couple of hours.

Frank Report 10 Sep 2011 19:28

Missed you Shirl, Hope everything goes well with Blood tests.

Ros Thinks these new PAIN PATCHES have something to do with her feeling sick. There are so many side effects from them, and sickness is one.
The strenght of them is 20 mg. which is about as high as you can have, and she put a new one on this afternoon.

David

David Report 10 Sep 2011 19:30

I'm sure the risk of a vaccine is minimal Frank.

Ive only ever had 2 in my life and on both occasions I got the symptoms of a cold soon afrweward.
