Fiona,Chester would have helped Sofia unwrap her presents lol.
Oh Playdough!!!!.I remember making the stuff .It used to dry my hands out.If I remember rightly there was lots of salt used.Horrible stuff.The shop bought was much better.
Chester now knows for sure he is being sent on his hols.He is not a happy dog :-S :-S.Chris is packing now as he is working until late tomorrow.I will do mine once Chester has gone tomorrow.

It is a very warm and quite muggy evening here.Lots of blue sky too.I have just done a lot of hoovering.Tomorrow will be dusting,cleaning toilets etc.James says he is staying well away from me as he knows what I am like before going away.
He also had the gall to say that since I joined GR housework has gone down the pan.The Cheek of it. :-( :-( (he is right though ;-)

Family have been for their tea today , and have now gone .
Bought some bits for Chelsea's birthday today she will be four !! next Sunday week .
Happy Birthday Sofia , i'am sure she'll have lots of fun playing with her new toys .

Morning All,

No change here weather wise as it is still mizzle and very dull this morning with big grey skies.

What has happened to our lovely misty moisty mornings with the dew hanging in the cobwebs and fairy hammocks hanging in the box hedge?Thats what we usually get in Sept not rain rain rain. Poor Ann and Gordon and oh's sister and hubby and daughter. I do hope they found plenty of things to do inside.

Painter arrived at 7.15 instead of 8 lol...They had to wait for me to get dressed,,I had been up but took a cup a cup of tea back to bed with me.

Alan had to comeout of work yesterday because the carpet fitter had a cancellation and wanted to come earlier..I was at work..Flooring down in bathroom now,Have to give it a week then they will be back to seal around the edges.
Have a nice holiday Jane. My cat when I had one knew something was up when the cat basket came out of the loft

Just the new blinds to be fitted in abt 2 weeks time then we can relax...hopefully.

Well I sold my bike just now.Bit of extra spending money for(ME) ;-) ;-)
I just got all Chesters things together and he got in a right 2&8.Then I get a phone call from the girl who picks him up to say she can't get here until 1 o clock.I have now put all his things back in the normal places and he has gone to sleep :-D.He will start up again when he see's it all coming out again lol

I'm just going to whizz off to the pet shop as I don't think he has enough treat bikkies for the week.

Kim we are going to Northumberland,and are staying in a cottage just on the edge of a town called Alnwick.I have never been to that part before.We go tomorrow morning.I haven't packed yet as I will just upset you know who even more.That will be this afternoons job.I'm now having a mad clean around.James and his girlfriend will be in charge of having it spick and span by the time we get home.Not holding my breath for good weather .I think it is going to be a bit iffy.

I saw the lady who had a fall yesterday.Poor woman has broken her elbow and is on holiday here from Canada.They wanted to operate on it today,but as she is going home in a couple of days have agreed that she can have it done in Canada.

Jane , i carn't believe Chelsea will be four !! i don't know where those four years have gone , i bought her a little Shop Till with the pretend money , she loves playing shops ,she has a little basket and i have to say what i want her to buy !!!
Poor Chester ,has he gone? they give you such a sad look don't they as if to say you will be back for me won't you , Toby does that ,even when i'am only going shopping lol

Mandy ,he's gone!!!,with his bed,food,toys ,treats and pills lol.He went off in the back of Trisha's car,with 2 Cocker Spaniels lol.So he had company.I hope he didn't whine and cry all the way to Wellingborough.It very quiet here now :-S

Fitz has just been up to borrow a hairdrier.His big fridge is not working properly and the engineer who is there needs to melt a load of ice that has built up around the fan.I said he better make sure he brings it back as it will be going in the suitcase.

I got some soft Shoe/boot at Padd**s the other day .They are comfortable but I have some felt padding to stick on my heels just in case they rub.Must remember to take some decent socks with me.

Those little shop tills are great aren't they.I remember Hannah having a brown one.I remember my little sweet shop,made of hard cardboard,and little jars of sweeties.Things like Dolly Mixtures.

Well I better think about getting my clothes sorted and all the toiletries .Wet weather gear too I reckon.But I will not take wellies .I hate them.My feet have been so used to being in sandals for months I think they will protest with covered in and laced up boots.My big toe will certainly give me gip .

Whilst down in Dorset last year I went to Corfe Castle Pat, you're right it's in a lovely little village, we didn't actually go up to the castle, they were charging a small fortune just to walk around the old ruins, we could see it perfectly well from where we were standing. I remember having the most enormous ice cream .... eyes bigger than my belly ...... dad would have said.

Been a very busy boy, and have only just sat down at the computer 15 minutes ago. Hope you all got the latest jokes, and none that will offend anyone. !!

I had 300 plug plants turn up this morning. so I watered them, and have transpanted them ALL in to small pots, ready to grow on. VIOLA'S AND WINTER PANSIES. They will go in all the tubs around the patio.and in the baskets, on the walls.

I also cored and peeled about 10lbs of windfall cooking apples, and stewed them down to apple sauce, When cooled I will bag it up and freeze, for when we need it. Therte is still loads od apples on the tree. As there are pears. Will have to see if we can bottle some of those.

Ros has just gone of to the Doctors, then into Tesc# to pick up some odds and sods, as she won't be seeing her friend tomorrow.

I feel my arm and neck is a lot better today, but must say after all the potting my hands are feeling bit now.

Jane, HOPE YOU AND CHRIS. Have a nice break, it's somewhere I have never been, but from what you see on tele. it's a very nice area. Don't get drunk and don't upset the natives. Hope Chester has a nice holiday too.

Pat so glad the house will soon be yours again, it will be nice to get up in the mornings, without having to worry about the decorators coming. when's the house warming ????

Mel, You are very unlucky with the weather today, I am in my shorts, bare chested, and sitting in the garden this morning was a delightful treat after the weather we have had the last few days.

Oh poor Chester ,he'll be alright , he's been there before hasn't he ,so he'll soon settle down .

I hate getting back into shoes after wearing sandels , i think your feet spread a bit over the summer , it doesn't matter what sort of shoes i buy i always get blisters when i first start wearing them again.

I now got a lovely photo of a butterfly in the garden , got a nice close up , i'll see if i can send it later , we're just off to sisters now,hubby has to do some rendering for them round the window he put in the other day .
