Morning Pat and All

Yes Pat there is a second part to FW.Not sure if is tonight or next Sunday.I will definitely watch part 2.
Teresa joined our thread a long time ago ,right near the beginning I think .She stayed with us for quite some time ,and now pops in now and then.

it is a very breezy morning, and fingers crossed dry at the moment.I'm hoping to get some washing out on the line.I think it will be a morning of here there and everywhere for me.Then this afternoon the thrilling job of tackling a ton of ironing. Not sure my thumb will be with holding the iron and I won't be able to do it right handed ,so I'll start with the important stuff.
Just looking out I'm not sure about putting washing out now :-S :-S
A quick coffee I think and then must crack on.

I hope it goes well for Fiona today and her results at the hospital.

Morning all,

Still sitting around in my dressing gown. Couldn't sleep last night, felt like a wet week this morning.

Ros is doing the ironing, I have offered to do the straight bits. but I am sure she won't let me.

Pets as a child.

Molly was a little mongrel puppy,My sister Clara, phoned my dad at the PLA during the end of the war, and said I have something for you. Meet me on Mile End Station at such a such time. When they met,She stuffed this little bundle in his arms and jumped on the train back to Acton where she lived. We had her for many years and a set of puppies. We kept Butch, and gave the rest away. Butch didn't survive and had to take him to the PDSA you know the one Mel, Down by where you lived.
Along came an Alsation, budgie, tortoise, mice and all the things kids found including Bats.Stoat, Jackdaw. You name it.

My two eldest brothers kepl Racing Pidgeons, and I helped with them every eveving, I would let them out to fly around, and feed them. (My brothers were at work) and married. They kept the pidgeons at Mum and Dads.

During my first marriage I had three Labs, two cats. Since being married to Ros we have had three poodles and two cats. So I have always had animals around me.

Just had my shower and shave, washed up and made the bed. Thought I had posted.
Spottong with rain and windy here, I won't be going far today.

Morning All,

We have had stair rods of rain this morning!! :-( it jusdt falls out the sky and then the sun came out. Next min. it is all cloudy again.

OH spoken to sister who is down here at the mo. We are going to the Eden Project with them tomorrow. This will be the third time we have been so it will be interesting to see whats new on the western front!

Have loads of ironing to do for things to wear tomorrow so shan't be around much today.

Last night late I managed to find William's relly that I was looking for. Another part of his puzzle solved :-D

Pat have a nice day without workman. Shame tomorrow is back to work as you have'nt had the house to yourself at all this holiday.

Jane hope the thumb holds out for the important ironing.

Jane, would a nut allergy be a contributary cause of this ear ache ??

Help Am I thick or something!!!! Have been trying to put a photograph onto my profile but without any luck, what do I need to doplease??? Have followed the instructions but without success and even hubby has failed so maybe a bit of advice is needed.
The weather is dull and windy and we have had a couple of short sharp showers but all in all it is better than I expected.Have spent the morning doing some housework and ironing( can imagine us all, sorry Frank, dashing away with the smoothing iron)
David Consett is my home town and I lived there until I was 18. At that time it was the centre of steel making and most people worked at the Iron Company. Now I believe it has undergone a massive change but I have not been back since my father died 12 years ago.I keep promising myself a visit and I must pop up one day when hubby is away.
Time for a cup of tea I think :-) :-(

Cold, wet and windy here today, hope Ann is having better weather.

The meal yesterday was a bit disappointing, the seafood salad I was looking forward to was not on the menu, so I plumped for chicken, sorry no chicken, so I ended up with salmon and a salad, but I reckon the salmon was from the freezer and they just stick it in the oven. The pudding made up for it though, an enormous chocolate and honeycombe icecream sundae, which I had to finish, even though I was really full, all the best bits were right at the bottom :-D

hi Everyone,
Just managed to get on the internet now,
We received a letter from Virgin saying our internet would be off for a few hours today as they were fixing something? have tried a couple of times but have now finely managed.

I am off to the hospital tonight to see the consultant hopefully he will have answers to all the tests he did. I will hopefully try and get on here when I get back and let you know what the outcome is.

time to put on the potatoes for dinner, I have had a slow cooker on all day with lamb chops in , just waiting for OH now to come home from work, we have to be at the hospital at 7.00

That's a great pic Anne.Well done.I am hopeless I'm afraid when it comes to working out to do something like that.I have to get assistance lol

Well I have done most of the ironing now ,the rest will have to wait.

That's a shame about your meal Maureen. No Chicken??? That's most unusual.Pudding sounded scrummy.

David no I don't think a nut allergy has caused your ear trouble lol.Just lots of wax and a lot of poking around !Is it any easier now?

Fiona ,I hope you get some answers this evening.

I suppose I had better some dinner on the go now.

Evening everyone,

Its been a blustery old day , sunny at times and a couple of heavy showers this morning , the wind seems to have really got up this afternoon .

Mel, have a lovely day out tomorrow , i've never been to the Eden Project ,seen photo's ,but it some where i would love go.

What a shame about your meal yesterday Maureen , it does sound as if the pudding made up for it though LOL
My friend gave me a recipe for a Bramble mousse , so i'am going to give that a go tomorrow , will use some of the Black berries i put in the freezer .

Hope all goes well for you tonight Fiona , and that you get some answers.

Hubby's toe is still black , he says that the toe feels funny today as if the nail is loose or coming off :-S

The last time I was in Consett was as far back as 1985.
As I recall the big shops were on two sides of the bus station.
Consett is very close to Leadgate and Shotley Bridge.
The steel works closed down in the 80's I think.
Cosett is on high ground I recall and always got the snow first.

Jane Report 5 Sep 2011 18:31

I haven't been to the Eden Project either Mandy. At least Mel will stay dry (if it's raining).
Ooh I don't like nails that are damaged or have a lot of blood underneath after a bashing.I remember when I did my stint in A&E,there were 2 things I hated ,and that was nails having to be removed and anything to do with eyes.I can recall a young child having to have a needle put into the nail to release the blood ,and it went feet in the air..

I bought a new pair of slippers today and some joggers .Not sure why I bought the joggers really ,but I was desperate for slippers.I still haven't got a proper pair of shoe/boot for any walking on holiday.Do you reckon I am putting it off so I don't have to do a long walk with OH ? ;-)

Ann looks like she has some horrible rain.I wonder what it will be like next week when we go.

in the bath I cleaned my ears too vigorously yesterday.
The R one feels like its been kicked :-S
I'd no idea they were so sensitive.

MillymollyAmanda Report 5 Sep 2011 18:48

Well Hubbys toe nail is still on , i had visions of him taking his sock off and leaving the nail in the sock :-S
When he was younger he had Hammer toes !! he had them straightened and he had a pin in his toe ,he said when it was taken out the sister braced herself by putting her foot on the end of the bed ,she pulled and blood shot out across the ward !!!!

I have to buy new slippers for the winter , mind you as soon as i sit down the first thing i do is slip them off .
well i suppose its a good excuse for not walking , not having a pair of boot or shoes lol
I had the new Hott*rs book come in the post this morning , there's some nice boots and shoes in there .

Have taken a photo of hubbys toe , i'll email it ... it's not a pretty sight i warn you
:-S

Oh Thanks Mandy.That's horrible. :-S :-S
David stop cleaning those ears especially that right one.You don't want to fiddle with that one at the moment.Just let the puffer thing and antibiotics do the work.
Well all this talk of toes and ears.I'm just off to cook fry some Pork lol

Mandy I don't recognise the name Hott**s.What is the name?
