That's BRILLIANT Fiona. I'm glad they put you out for it. I know I would have wanted that too. Now you can relax a bit today without having it on your mind.
Sheila, you do sound very down. Hopefully that tablet is wearing off now and you will feel a bit better then. A heavy headcold is very unpleasant especially when your sinuses are affected. I wonder if the chemist could suggest something that might help.
Donnie and Beryl are a scream aren't they. I bet the posh lady was surprised someone with all those studs was holding the door open for her!! lol The next thing April will be saying is 'awesome' I hate that phrase as well.
Yes, Jane, I have got soooooo much done this morning without him in the way and distracting me!!! lol Bless him, he's lovely really and I wouldn't swap him!! He just rang from the hospital to say his mum's BP was 190/100!!! very high. She is on tablets for it, but he thinks she is just anxious being out of her comfort zone. They have such a rigid daily routine, any straying from it gets them agitated anyway. He said she just has to have blood tests now, but it is hard keeping them on track.......nattering to everybody instead of noting their turn or listening!! lol He said to be ready to go out for a coffee and bite to eat when he gets back!!
I have caught up with lots of paperwork and managed to book to see the Pitmen Painters that Anne saw a while ago.
I hate wet jeans too.......lucky Chester doesn't have to bother about his. lol How horrid it was when you got soaked out on your bike.

Oh my Shielia, You do sound bad. I would get down to the chemist, to see if he can give you something.. Thats the trouble taking someone elses medicines. They don't always work for other people.
Been raining again here and turned colder. Think I will have to put some troursers on.
Soup sounds nice Anne, I think I might open a tin for lunch.
Ros is going to call at the jewellers to see if her ring is ready. As they said it would be done for this weekend.

Thanks Mel that's very kind of you offering to send me the cottage , i will soon have to get hubby to put a shelf up to hold them all.
Frank, its fifteen Lilliput now !! i would really like the new one of Bishop Bonners Cottage here in town ,i can see the end of the cottage from my kitchen window , think i'll drop a few hints for Christmas , mind you with hubby it will go in one ear and out the other LOL
Sheila, you do sound very down at the moment , hope you'll soon be feeling better .
My word Fiona, that was quick !!! that's going private ,no waiting about . I always breath a sigh of relief after the little ones have gone ,i do so love them coming, but they are so lively and into everything ,how do people manage to have little ones late in life , must be so tiring .

Lucky you Mandy, I wish I had photos of gt.grandparents. Can't make her out too clearly, what has she got on her lap.
Poor you Sheila, you do sound very down, mind you, I'd probably feel the same with blocked sinuses. Wouldn't crying make it worse, I know when I cry it blocks my nose and gives me a headache. You should have joined your OH for a sing song, singing always cheers me up.
Great to hear all went well yesterday Fiona, you must have felt the love <3 so much better when they knock you out and you don't know anything about it, I wish they would do that when I have to go for colonoscopy.
Are you feeling better today Kim?
Absolutely bucketing down with rain hope it gets better for the weekend I'm off to stay with daughter in Chessington while her partner is away for a couple of days. Looking forward to spending time with baby Harry.

It's pouring with rain outside and it feels so cold, think we will have the heating on later. All good for both of us at the dentist and no need to go back for 9 months. I am cooking an apple crumble with custard for tea( so much for the diet) Yesterday I made a veg lasagne which was enough for 4 so we will finish that with homemade chips and peas. Fiona Good to know that you are feeling ok and that the Dr will see you soon.
Sheila So sorry to hear of your troubles and this dreadful weather will do nothing to cheer you, do keep your chin up
Better go back to the kitchen :-) :-)

Maureen ,have a great weekend!.I'm sure the weather will improve :-D
Anne it has rained just about all day here ,but I think it has stopped now.No heating on here Phew! I have never heard of 9 month checks for the Dentist .I have always had 6monthly.I think I would prefer 9 though lol
Hello Gt Grandmother Mary :-D.Mandy where do you keep all your cottages?
Oh Sheila you do sound down in the dumps.Surely there must be a Doctor available if you need to see one.Touch wood I don't get Sinus trouble ,but I know it is blooming awful. What are Donnie and Beryl like!!!!.I do enjoy your tales of them. I hope you feel a bit better tomorrow.Good job Michelle is able to look after Matt for you while you feel poorly.
I spoke too soon again. It's started raining again :-S.I just realised I have the big windows open upstairs.I bet the windowsills are soaked. Better go and check I think.
Frank, did Ros get the ring? What time and where is the wedding on Sunday? I'm not being nosey ;-)

Not like me to feel the cold, but I put on some jogging bottoms this morning. Just half an hour ago we put the heating on. It's taken the damp feel out of the air.
Ros has bought her birthday present allready (not till 19th Sept) 3 pairs of ear rings on one of her jewellery channels. Nothing like being ahead of yourself. I have been trying to think of what she might want.
Fiona, It just goes to show how these doctors who are paid privately, get on with appointments. At the rate they charge, they would see you at 10pm Bet Chris would like their hours and salary. But I must admit, we do very well with the local hospital on the NHS.
Mandy you are doing well with your collection, also the prices you are getting them for.
We can't decide what to eat tonight, will leave it to Ros to decide later. I can pop something in the Micro wave to thaw it. Provided she dosen't want a roast. :-D :-D :-D
Where's WET LEGS then still sitting by the FAN ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) cooling off.

I think the 6 month check ups were so the dentist got more money, you can have a check whenever you want, I've extended mine to 9 months, although they still send a reminder after 6, I was going to do a yearly one but thought if I leave it that long I would probably lose my courage ......
Don't know why some people have more trouble than others with wax, David, doesn't seem to be any reason for it. I've never had my ears syringed, spoken too soon now haven't I.
Just going to have a pizza and salad tonight. Shall watch Miranda later, wasn't a fan of hers at first but there are some laugh out loud moments in her show. What do others think of WDYTYA, I'd give it a QI up till now, sounds like I'm talking in code

I beg your pardon sir! Wet legs indeed! Actually I have just got them wet again by tipping all the rain water out of the canopy .There were gallons.I have to use an old walking stick to push it all out and then try and stand well back lol
I know most of the Dr's at the Woodlands do the NHS stuff and then have their Private Work separately .I think this is why they have late appointments.Chris would love the extra money Frank but not the hours :-S :-S.He has had enough now and really is ready to retire.
David I think you must maybe produce a lot of ear wax. :-S.It's just normal and keeps the inner bits of the ears clear of dirt etc.Are you using warm Olive Oil to soften it?

Pizza and Salad for us too tonight Maureen.Chris won't be impressed ,but hey! He can like it or lump it lol. I have given Hannah's bedroom a good going over this afternoon.Lawks it was filthy :-( :-(.She will be home tomorrow.I wonder if she will notice lol.I found some of my perfume and lotions in there.Wondered where it had gone!.Thats one thing now she is living away,I haven't lost anything
I hope our Shirl has got over the scare of that Tornado and that all is calm again. Anne I like the sound of your Celery Soup.I love Celery but have never thought of making soup.I might give it a go.
Sheila I was thinking.Do you think that Sinus Tablet that you took may not have been compatible with some of your other medication and that is why it made you feel so ill? It's good to hear April is enjoying her trip to America.I can't remember ,but did you mention some time ago that they may move out there?
It's so dark here now I need to put some lights on(but no heating).
Maureen I missed WDYTYA this week.I must remember next Wed.Who is it next week?

Well its been tipping it down here the last hour or so , but its eased up a bit now .
Was cleaning hubby's flask and thought i would unscrew the bottom and give the lining bit a good clean......only dropped it in the sink !!!!! the silver bits went everywhere !! all in the sink and on the floor ,took ages to clear up ,wish i'd left it alone now :-S
Jane all the cottages are on the mantle piece , which is now just about full.
I was cold the other evening , it must be chilly Frank if you've put the heating on, i didn't do that , i just put long trousers on .
Enjoy your week end Maureen, give baby Harry a cuddle from me , what do you do with Alfie when you go away ?

It's Larry Lamb next week Jane. This week was Sebastian Coe, he was more interesting than I thought he was going to be, my all time favourite was Boris with his granny butter, a close second was Barbara Windsor.
I will give Harry lots of cuddles from everyone. I leave Alfie to get on with it now Mandy, just like the other two have to. I will give him his medication tomorrow before I go and he seems to be okay missing one day.

Oh Mandy I bet you will be finding little slivers of that stuff for ages.I hope Toby doesn't get any in his paws. When that chap pulled out my oven the other week ,besides all the fluff were little bits of glass.I couldn't understand where it had come from ,until Chris said he reckoned it must have been when the glass thingy that is on the inside of the top oven flap shot out and smashed on the floor. That was years ago lol. Chris has just come in and said 'It's cold" maybe we should put the heating on!!!.I just told him to go and put a jumper on :-D :-D

You are wicked Jane, You should have had his slippers and a drink waiting for him when he got in. I don't know about a pizza this weather. A nice steak, chips, mushrooms, tomato, onion rings, peas and peppered sauce. I must admit Woodlands have been fantastic with Ros. Never kept her waiting for an appointment.
Mandy, I have been looking on Ebay at your cottages. All various ones at verious prices. One collection of 100 for £750.00. None of your Bishop Bonners cottage on the used, but a few new at £29.95.
Maureen, I go to the Dentist once a year now, I felt every six months was a bit expensive for SIX teeth. :-D :-D :-D wish I could smile like that. ;-) ;-)
Will have a look to see if our Shirl is on line, if so will give her a call. I will let you know how things are.

Frank, i've looked at the cottages on e b*y , there's a collection on there of 96 cottages for £1450 !! think i'll stick to the 99p ones LOL
I cooked steak for hubby tonight , not for me though yuk!!! i'am not really a meat person .
