Morning Kim I am an early bird today.Don't know why though.I think maybe because Chris is off work this morning and is still asleep and I would have disturbed him if I put the light on to read.
Kim I take it you were talking about your ears being washed out and crochet hooks .Made my eyes water lol I think Chester is just getting an old boy now.He is 13.I can hear him snoring under the table where I'm sat. He's probably confused by seeing me down here and not Chris :-S
Thinking of you today Fiona <3
It's a funny dark morning.Obviously there has been rain in the night.I can just see a few bits of blue peeping through and it is so still.Nothing moving at all. Off for my second cuppa now BBL

It's brightening up here now Mel so lets hope it keeps going that way.
Kim ,that is a lot for puss's haircut!!.Is she licking because the skin is sore where the hair has come out? Your daughter is a silly girl isn't she not doing as she should. The trouble is at that age you can't force her to do the right things. Her kidneys are so important.I worked on the Dialysis Unit for a few years and it was horrible seeing young people having to come in 2 or 3 times a week because of their damaged kidneys.
Well I am still the only one up.I think i will have some toast .I wonder if the smell of that will wake the boys ;-).I love the smell of toast. My old school friend says that is what she remembers about our house each morning when she knocked on the door for me on the way to the school bus.The wonderful smell of toast and coffee wafting out from the kitchen.

Liz ,it's a disgraceful business.People like that should be really be struck off.Shame on them. How dare he swan off on his hols after 'not touching the paperwork'for so long.No wonder moving house is so traumatic if this is the way some Solicitors behave.I hope he gets a Dicky Tum on holiday :-( :-(

Morning all,
Didn't get back on last night, as I went for a pint. Didn't do the ironing. Ros has started that this morning (TOLD YOU SHE WOULD)
Liz, I do feel for you, when we were selling Gayton. The couple who were buying had no end of trademen making appointments to call at the house, to do estimates. Double glazing, fenced off area for her dogs, Landscape gardeners to re-design the garden . When it boiled down to it. They were so much in debt they couldn't get a mortgage. I went beserk. and threatened them with court action for wasting my time, and stopping other people proceeding with the purchase. The AGENTS got a rollocking as well for not checking them out.
I thought we were going to get rain last night, black as hell out there, then it cleared away. A few spots during the night but nothing to speak of. Trying to brighten now, but rain promised. (They can't get it right)
Hope everything goes well for Fiona, will be thinking of you..
Jane, put your claws away. :-D :-D :-D
Mel, Did OH get his lawns down yesterday, ???
Still in shorts this end, didn't have a good night, hips giving me a lot of pain, too much bending and work yesterday.

Jane and Mel, puss is an habitual licker. They put some cream on her, but she has no sores on the skin. I think she licks from stress, she has always done it and always has furballs. The other cat has a thick semi-long coat and she copes well. I was hoping they would give her some calming medication and she would ease off, but no such luck. Last time she had to spend time at the vet's, she threw a wobbly and knocked her cage down, plus a few others. They are not happy to see her come through the surgery doors, lol.
Jane I can't agree more. She has watched my health decline for blinking years and I thought that would make her see sense. She has just walked in now and said she has looked up some of the medication online and is not happy to use it. How can you win????? :-( :-( Gives you the tommy tits!!!! And dialysis is a terrible thing, I used to visit a sick relative often in hospital on one of the machines. I thought Chester was a bit younger than that, must be Toby who is 10.
Liz really sorry to hear about your real estate nightmare. You expect solicitors to do their jobs properly and people's futures depend on it. I hope it all pans out for you, damn frustrating and worrying at the moment for you. What a moron he is!!!!!
Frank sounds like Ros is doing much better, very happy to read that. Sorry you are in pain, don't overdo it today. Put your feet up and relax.
Got to 23 degrees here today, but cold mornings. Both cats normally on my side of the bed with electric blanket on. I am squashed in the middle ;-)
Yes Jane, talking about my ears. Didn't proof-read too well. :-) Poor Richard, he is really gentle when he uses this instrument, but I squirm around like a lizard with no tail.
Off to watch tv now and drink my cold cuppa. Tata for now - 9.44 pm EST

Ann, I remember when Clear Hooters was in Bedworth, I sketched it when they started to pull it down to make way for a Tesco store. I put the sketch in an exhibition and it was bought by a relative of the person that previosuly owned the site. The sketch went off to Jersey. (Wish I had a tax haven!) Anyway, would you believe they have now pulled down that Tesco and are in the process of building a super Tesco on the same site. The chap that owned that site was also the person that started Shoppers Paradise, which went on to be The Hypermarket, your FIL will no doubt remember a lot of this. A lot of places I made sketches of disappeared both in Bedworth and Nuneaton. I'm not sure if that says something about progress or my age? But still, it's nice some things get preserved, some of my sketches ended up in the Riversley Art Gallery & Museum in Nuneaton and here with The Bedworth Society. Better than my heirs tearing them up when I head for 'upstairs'. I have a vague idea that before Clear Hooters it was Coventry Hood & Sidescreen. It would be a brave man that cycles between Nuneaton and Bedworth these days! Yes, I'm so glad my wife is well enough to go out so much these days. Tomorrow, weather permitting we are going to Lichfield, one of our favourite days out. And yes Jane, we really did enjoy our day yesterday and aren't buses much nicer to travel on these days. We always make a point of thanking the driver as we get off. Hope everyone else missed the rain and have had a nice day. Catch you all tomorrow, I hope. Take care - William

I do hope everything gets sorted soon Liz, my brother says they are all a load of crooks, he doesn't trust any of them, solicitors, bankers, etc.
I'd have thought the vet would be very pleased to see your cat Kim ...... KERCHING ...... £££££..... it doesn't matter what part of the world your'e in then, they all charge a fortune, I wouldn't even want to begin to add up how much Alfie has cost me, although, touch wood, he's been okay lately.
I did enjoy reading about your day out William, isn't it nice getting on public transport and not having to pay anything. I use my pass a lot for the tube up to London, it doesn't matter how many times I use it I still inwardly do a 'yahoo'. At the boot sale a stall holder was shouting everything for a £1 you can't get on a bus for that, I said to the woman standing next to me, that's true, unless you're my age of course and get on for nothing, she said you should go over and ask if he does OAP bus rates ....lol
Thinking of Fiona, I don't think it's a very pleasant proceedure, must be all over now and hopefully they can find what's causing all the problems. She hasn't been right since she had that fall ages ago.
Although they still don't know why Ros is in such pain Frank, the mere fact that the scan came back all clear has made a world of difference, sounds like she is getting back to her normal self.
Thanks for the photos Ann, sounds like you had a lovely day out.

This is supposed to be a place of natural beauty but it won't be with that thing in the field. We are not aloud to put any signs up that are bigger than 3 foot by 3 foot and they want to stick this great giant on us :-( :-( :-( :-(

Oh Mel ,you don't want one of those in your back yard :-S :-SWill there a petition set up? No rain still.I wouldn't mind some right at this moment as the birds have done lots of purple splatters all over the canvas canopy on the gazebo AND all over my car. :-( :-( :-( It is the elderberries I reckon giving them the trots lol
Sheila I hope your cold clears soon.I have seen lots of people just lately with real streamers and I don't think it Hayfever. Maureen I'm glad Alfie is staying well.Is he still a little monkey? My Sister had a cat who used to have to be shaved by the vet sometimes because of tangles.Poor thing looked ridiculous with just the fur left on its head and tail.
William I hardly ever go on a bus.But when I do I like to sit upstairs to get a birds eye view. When do women get their pass,is it 60?If it is I still have 3 years to wait for mine.
Liz ,I keep thinking about that b****y Solicitor of yours.I hope when things get sorted and you hopefully get to move that you will kick a right stink!!!! Makes my blood boil.
A very sad thing here.A nurse was killed going home from her shift at Kettering Hospital when she came of her bike and fell in the path of a car.She was only 40.Frank it happened just at the bottom of the hill from the hospital under the bridge as it meets Northfield Ave.
Dinner tonight is one of my favs.Bubble and Squeak cakes(fromM&*) with poached eggs on top .I think I will do Asparagus and more runner beans.I can never get fed up with runners.I can eat them 'till the cows come home lol. James says I am irritable today and what's my problem .Cheeky so and so. I said am I not allowed to be irritable now and again. He said' NOW AND AGAIN"???.I would give him a slap but he's too big lol So watch out you lot ,you better not cross me today ;-) ;-) ;-)

OMG Shirl.!!!!.Thank heavens you are alright. No it's not daft saving those things.I think most of us would do the same.I did hear about the Tornado but didn't realise it would get as close to you as that.
Liz ,they can't be allowed to get away with all these lies.I think you are right to give a deadline ,then if it doesn't work out ,really go for it.There will be a complaint board (or whatever it's called).I'm steaming just thinking about it all,and it's not even me who's moving lol
I bet Fiona is all tucked up at home now having a rest after the ordeal today. Fiona I hope it wasn't too traumatic for you.Have been thinking of you today.
We have just had a delivery of I think Chris called them Shingle.Look like tiles to go on the Summerhouse roof.Oh Heck that means he will be clambering around off the ground .I'm not sure when he plans to do it.I think he has got fed up replacing or nailing down the felt everytime there was a gale.I think it will look good(as long as he does it right) ;-) ;-)

I also love travelling by train.Just to sit and see the country side is so nice. You miss so much when you are the driver of a car.Have to keep your eyes on the road lol, also train travel I find relaxing.I would use rail more often ,but it is just so expensive :-S

Woke up this morning to pouring rain and it was wet and miserable all morning but now the sun is shining out of a clear blue sky ( good old British weather)Looked at the weather in Arizona on the internet today and its 45 degrees for the next five days, this will be quite a shock when we arrive if it stays for the next two weeks.
Fiona Hope you are home safe and sound and hope the results are good.
Jane Yes you can see one of the nests from the bridge at Manton. The authorities are not quite as secretive now as there are more nests around.
William I do have a bus pass which I use mainly to get home from town if it is raining. I keep saying that I will use it more and go on longer trips but I end up taking the car as it is easier
Liz I do hope you get your house move sorted soon. They say moving is the second most stressful thing in life and that's without your problems. It must be so frustrating living out of boxes and i would not hesitate in reporting the problem solicitor. My FIL was a solicitor and they do work to very strict guidlines so they would have no comeback.
Frank Thanks for the latest messages as they do keep me smiling
Shirl have just seen pictures of the tornado on the tele and it seems very frightening. Hope you are OK now.
Mel These windturbines are popping up everywhere, It is not just the sight of them but they do make a certain amount of noise
