David that was only mother telling you she knew you were at the hosp to see her even though she had gone. She knew you would know who did it and it was the only way she could get in touch.

David ,I don't know an answer to that, but there are many things that happen that leave people nonplussed .When I was about 5 or 6 we had a school friend live with us for a month or so while her Mum was in hospital. One night my Mum heard footsteps in the hallway and they got no further than my bedroom(which was where my friend was). The following day Mum found out that at the time she heard the footsteps was the time my friend's Mum had died.
Spooky !! maybe her Mum was coming to say goodbye.I don't know. But I do know that my Mum would never had made that up.

Mandy is better but having computer probs. That is why she hasn't been able to post.So we don't need to worry lol

David , things happen for a reason .dec 2009 , my dad went into hospital , ti have a bypass op on his leg , he was an active & well man other than this swelling , anyway the op went ahead xmas eve , , boxing day i spoke to him , & i could not understand a word he said, ( as though he had a stroke), 110.30 that same night my sister phoned me to say he had , had a heart attack, i was straight on the phone to the hosp , & as i was talking , i felt a hand on the back of my head , ( just like dad used to do ), it had taken 6 mins to bring him back ( in a coma ) was on a machine until the 4 jan , & it was turned off, because he had already gone, the hand on the back of my head , i like to think that it was dad saying goodbye ,

David, Things have happened to my family as well
My mum died New years Eve 1999. the following Christmas, I decided to use some of her christmas decorations which included 3 strings of little red Christmas bells which I strung up along my wall units. while we were sitting having christmas dinner the bells began to move, they sounded like the were Jingling, now there was no doors or windows open to cause a draft. so we all decided it must have been mum letting us know she was with us at christmas.

My OH has told me he felt as though his gran who died over 20 years ago was telling him that a cousin was expecting a baby.
2 days later my MIL phoned to say one of my OH cousins in England had just told her she was pregnant.

then a few weeks ago I found half a crown in my purse and OH found a sixpence on the kitchen floor.
Now where have they come from????, the only place I know of where there is old money is in my dads old house, there's a box of pennies, sixpences. and other old coins in a cupboard which I have not cleaned out yet, I like to thnk it's my dad letting me know he is still around me.

In Feb 1994 I was chief mourner at my Mother's funeral. The rain was torrential as the hearse and following cars arrived at the crematorium.
The funeral could not proceed as there was one ongoing. We sat in the first car for about 20 mins staring at Mother's coffin. The grief was unbearable.Mother always used to say she'd be late for her own funeral.
Some months later (Nov 16) I was serieously injured in a RTA.
In the months that followed as I recovered and again after returning to work (Aug 95) I had what can only be described as paranormal experiences.
My Mother used to say"there's nothing in the dark that isn't in the day light.

My FIL died as a result of a tragic accident in his own bathroom.
My wife when tipping his ashes in his flower garden stood and turned and was startled by a prescence of a younger FIL.
She stood and talked to something invisible to me.
I was in the kitchen giving her privacy and witnessed throung the window.

When his furniture was sold at auction (to empty to house prior to sale) I was in the living room.

I heard a grown man sob from the area near the window where his chair used to be.

Well Chris went off to bed about an hour ago with a painful back. The result of falling off his ladder I think.I will have to creep carefully into bed when I go so I don't disturb him.I think he may feel sore when he wakes up in the morning.I wonder who will walk Chester tomorrow??
I am switching off now so will say night night .Sleep well everyone....no spooky dreams! xx

Morning All

Frank I hope you haven't got a thick head this morning, and that Tension has eased.I think 2 and a half weeks sounds just the right amount of time for you to go away for.2 months would have been much too long.As you say the weather should be really nice then too.Which part of the south of France is it?

I am off for my shower now so BBL 9.59

Fiona ,they do seem to be taking forever with your computer.Did they give you a date as to when it would be ready? I think I would be tempted to say if it hasn't arrived by such and such a date I would go elsewhere.

Mel I don't give mine a choice on bread.I just buy want I fancy which is usually a seeded or granary. But I think you just have to have white bread some some things like bacon sarnies lol.

I'm glad you are up and running again Mandy.

It smells good here.I have a couple of Lamb Fillets in the oven. It's just Chris and me for dinner today.Hannah is out to lunch with a friend and then going to see another friend and her new baby.
It is Fitz's eldest sons birthday today .He is 26.It only seems like yesterday when I used to do the school run with him in his little short trousers lol Him and his brother and my two squabbling away in the back of the car.Me threatening to leave them all at the side of the road if they didn't shut up lol
I took a birthday card down for him just now.He said the thing he remembers most about the school runs was me playing my tape of Erasure and us all singing our heads off.

I think the sun is trying to come out now.Chris has been busy making a bench to go in the second greenhouse.
Must go and put the potatoes in to roast now.

Fiona I am sure you will have some nice memories when you go to the cemetery this afternoon, maybe even a few tears. But relief to know your Dad is now at peace.
