How fantastic for your hubby's grandmother Anne. To never be ill and then die in her sleep. My previous MIL never had indigestion and didn't know what a headache was and I thought that was pretty incredible. We got our old iron out of the loft today.....hope it still works or ........more expense!

I remember that skipping rhyme Ann,but I think we said ..This fine weather girls.
I always seem to be buying a new iron.Same with kettles.I blame it on the hard water here.
I think I will be having an early night tonight.I feel pooped.It's not as though I have had a busy day either.It won't be too early though as I may be awake at 11 or 12 and then not be able to get back off again lol

Anne I haven't had Chilli Con Carne for years.I'm not sure the others are that keen on it so doubt I will be doing it very soon.I only like it if it is not too hot.Same with curry.I have to have a mild one.My face always breaks out in a sweat if I even smell a curry and my throat goes all funny lol
My Aunty Betty loved a really hot curry.I think the last time I took her out from the home was for a curry and boy did she enjoy it.It was great to see

Hello everyone I know on this thread it seems to have changed a little since I disapeared into hospital .

My heart is less broken than before although still a littled jaded.

I would like to thank you for the advice on my crying a few valium did help.
However my heart seemed to be racing faster than usual and I had trouble breathing for sometime on occasions.

I saw these big bags of cement at the charity shop right in the way of people walking and dragged them out of the way and did I know about it later. I dId not see any lights at the end of a tunnel but I am sure I died for a moment it seemed that way later.

Welcome John. I loved Virol , loved licking the spoon, I would always want to put the spoon back in the jar for a second lot , but mum had to whip it away quick.

Had a busy day, out for coffee this morning, then Musical minis this afternoon. then was kept busy the rest of the afternoon/evening with Sofia
as SIL was working late and didn't get to my house till 7.30, he had his tea here and left at 8.30 pm.

So I now have time to come on the computer. going to watch tv, so I will say goodnight.

It's a bright, white, cold morning here in sparkly Devon, yes you've guessed it, a hard frost and sunshine. I jumped out of bed at what i thought was 8. 30 but it was 7.20 and I was dressed by the time OH told me!! I leave my glasses on the windowsill in the bathroom at night and misread my silly little watch. May have to start wearing mums big ben.

Started of dull & frosty but now the sky is full of white clouds and the sun is out.
Had washing on the line yesterday but did not dry. still a bit damp so will try again this morning.
an easy day for me. will potter around the house then go and put OH perscription in Chemist.

Trust everyone is well, same sort of day as yesterday, overcast, and B##### COLD.

I had a brain storm yesterday evening and decided to clean the cooker and oven. We had a box of OVEN PRIDE in the cupboard. If you haven't tried it PLEASE DO SO. It's wonderful. Put all the sides and shelves in the big plastic bag, then the liguid. Turn it every half hour to cover every part and leave overnight. This morning 8.30 I started on the oven, with the small hand held steam cleaner. got loads off the sides and top, even the grill in the bottom oven, Looks like new. I also did the big cooking trays, and they came up fine. Will now try to cook in covered pans. !!!!!

I see Jane feels GUILTY. She's turned off the pooter to get some HOUSEWORK DONE !!!!!

Off to Rutland tomorrow aternoon for the weekend, will make a break from home. Won't do much. If I remember I will take computer with me so I can keep in touch.

Much the same here dull and bitterly cold. Been to the farm shop and got some nice broccoli and sprouts for tomorrow. We are having a ready cooked chicken breast with jackets and salad tonight as a man will be here later around teatime to refix 2 doorstrips in the hall that they fitted last summer.

Now for some scraping and filling to do around the new ceiling fan in the bathroom. Then some hoovering in the hall and bedrooms. OH is sorting in the garage and taking some cardboard boxes down the tip.

Toodle oo for now, better put my old togs on.....

Ann, I don't know you manage to do all these jobs, I wish I had half your enegy. Tell you OH he can come and sort my garage out. What with the old Dishwasher, fridge,freezer, tumble dryer, spare Dyson, Lewis's bike, lawn mower, and all the other bits I can hardly more out there.

Still very cold and overcast., the birds are finding time to sing their little heads off, nice to sit in the conservatory and listen to them.

Well OH didn't stay out long Frank....says it's bitter outside! We can't move in our garage either, but OH was wanting to start getting the bike tyres pumped up and some oil on the chains so we can use them, but he's left it for now. I'm sure he'd take anything down the tip for you if we lived near. Not much filling to do in the bathroom as I did the worst last time I painted. We bleached a few bits where we got a bit of mould round the shower area. Just need to wash that off in an hour and then leave to dry till tomorrow. Funny you say about energy as we both said this morning that we don't seem to have much just lately. I think we should all benefit from a bit of sun.......due on Saturday around here so the weatherman says!! What happened to Jane's weather forecasts?

cloudy now and trying to rain just got back from posting a letter and collecting OH prescription from the chemist.
won't try to go into our garage Frank, thats OH domain, has old wardrobes and sideboards in which he uses for storage cupboards, 3 bikes, a trailer, plus all his tools and gardening equipment, 2 small fish tanks,
plus paint, wood and lots of other general stuff, He is a bit of a horder.

Having a cuppa then onto finishing the ironing
we have a noisy seagull sitting on our chimney again, it's making such a racket !!!!! 3.28

Gasman here now upstairs fitting the new boiler.Have just taken him a cuppa and Chester managed to get up there to introduce himself with his usual gusto.

When I was in the hairdressers we saw a police car pull across in front of a car with 2 men in.They were made to get out and open the boot out came a big bag.......with jewellry in!!!!!.We saw the policewoman holding some of it up.
One policewoman drove their car off somewhere ( i think around the corner) maybe so they couldn't try and drive away.The men were put in the back of the police car.They looked like 2 very unhappy bunnies lol.

Suns still out here. It's been a beautiful day again but a bit chillier than yesterday as there is a cold breeze.

Was going to wash my car but OH would'nt let me as he said it was going to be frosty again. I just scrubbed the green off round the lights. It's because of the dirty road outside the farm up the road. It grows ont he car so quicky, al round the trims. I must admit I have'nt washed it since well before Christmas.

Been up th eshop and got caught by Nigel (he is not all there but harmless) He brought down the hsop his strawberry vodka for Ann and I to try. in walked Piers and he had some too. It was quite nice but I only had a little as younever know where his hands have been. It was in a kilner jar and the strawberries were still in it and they did'nt look very nice!!!!!

Have steak and kidney stew on the stove for tonight and I shall put doughboys in later and cook some nice cabbage to go with it. Also made a pear, apple and black cherry crumble. Copying what we had out but loads more cherries in it. We will have custard with it.
