10.46am

Morning you beauties, How are you.????

Dull and overcast again this morning, looks like we will ger rain again.

Tried that Shake stuff in a bag last night. Cut up breast of chicken added various veg. cooked some carrots and added them. Did sliced onion and sliced potato in crean to go with it. Ros wasn't that keen, because of the spices, and herbs. I thought it allright. Doing a steak tonight, mushrooms, onion rings, peas, tomato, chips and a few baked beans.

I see that most of you are forgetting to put the time on your postings. Smacked hands to all of you. With that info. its better than seeing five hours ago/two hours ago etc. If I have to tell you again I will be more strict !!!!! I know some would like that lol lol

Still haven't made up my mind about France. I won't be able to keep my garden going from over there for two months.!!!! And I can't rely on the boys to do it.

Mags, nice to see you back, Anne also, Anne it will take you a few days to get yourself sorted out.

Glad Shelia is on the mend.

Liz, how is Ian doing now, have you sorted out tha pads ?????

How are you??. not a bad a morning here it has actually brightened up , still a chill in the air though . but have risked putting some light washing on the line.

Daughter no 2 phoned and asked me to go to the dentist with her this afternoon . she had a panic attack the last time she went to have a filling. which was her first filling by the way. (23 and had never had a filling) she hates needles.
normally when we go out I treat her to a coffee or a cold drink, this time I think she will need to take a straw with her, depending on how she feels we might just come straight home. will do any shopping before we go in i think.

must get on with some ironing.

Morning All,

Dull today but dry.

We have had the long tailed tits feeding in the garden this morning. They are so sweet.

Hope all are feeling better this morning and a speedy recovery to you all.

12.00 Oh it's now afternoon!!

Afternoon All,

Another dull day, but less cold.

If we are the beauties Frank....are you the beast?? lol

We hardly ever get long tailed tits in the garden Mel, but I love them.....always in a little flock. I think I saw a Red Kite sitting on a fence in a field of Llamas this morning, pale chest and reddish brown wings. It was about the size of those I saw with Jane.

We went to Birmingham this morning to the Imax cinema there, not as big a screen as Bradford but still good. We got the plush seats at the top again as I asked nicely as there weren't many people in. We saw the 3D film about the Hubble Telescope in space. It was very interesting and a bit mind blowing. They were doing maintenance and showed some of the images from it. A tiny looking nebula on Orion's belt was trillions of miles across! Billions of galaxies and trillions of stars......does my head in.

Frank I think I'm one of the major culprits on the 'time' front! sorry guys - could do better-!!! will try! Been back from the hospital for about 1 hour now, and we are feeling pretty chipper!! the problem with the pads has been sorted out, and we can have them for as long as they are needed, so that's a relief!! On the cancer front the news is good too. We were shown piccys of Ian's prostate, and the cancer was contained within it, all but 0,01%, which was a tiny spot containing no more than three or four cells!! Apparently these should die of their own accord, as this particular cancer is fed by testosterone, so no prostate, no testosterone, = dead cells! We have our next appointment in May, and that will include a PSA test; if that's normal, then bye, bye, cancer! if not, then a short burst of radiotherapy should see it off!. Talk again tomorrow!

Hi Everyone.
Had a busy day washing, ironing and doing hospital shop. Also managed to have coffee with my neighbour and caught up with all the news.Hubby has been ringing fencing men to get quotes for the new fence and we have decided to re organise the garden at the same time. One pond will go and we are going to extend the veg patch. Should keep him happy for ages as he loves reorganising things.
Its been a lovely day here today and lots of washing dried so its back to the ironing later. I have also recieved 240 letters to dispatch for the Musical Theatre Company before Monday. Certainly back to normal.
Frank I have remembered the time

That is wonderful news Liz.A load of your minds for now.But it sounds very positive.

Fiona,my sisters daughter who is now 32 always has to be sedated a little when she has to have anything done at the Dentist and Janice always goes along with her.I hope all has gone well.

Cinema for me and Fitz tomorrow morning 'Another Year' with Jim Broadbent.I'm really looking forward to this one.I think we are going for a Chinese afterwards.

I have had a family of 4 long tailed tits on the coconut outside the kitchen window. My window is not clean enough at the moment to get a clear pic lol
Another job to do (sometime)

At the third stroke it will be.............17.15

GREAT NEWS LIZ and IAN

, I am so pleased for you both. great relief. I am just thinking if that bottle of bubble will be coming out soon.

Ann, you know I would be your beast if you want me too.!!!!

It's been quiet slow on here today, where is everyone. If like us, curled up with the heating on. Ros has not been good. She was up and down all night with tummy pains (NO SHE'S NOT) She hasn't had anything to eat or drink allday apart from a cup of Bovril. She won't eat any dinner tonight, so will see if she wants something later tonight. I will get myself a snack of some sort tonight.

The old cat has been sitting on the back of the armchair, swearing at the blackbirds in the garden. Thats all he can do these days.

Great News for Liz & Ian. Congratulations.

Daughter no 2 is ok now took one of her panic pills and didn't take to long to calm down, we went for a milk shake at the coffee shop still she stopped shaking. really doesn't like needles in the head or face. think it's because of the alopecia problem she has and the injections she had in her head. and all the uni stress she had last year, things get on top of her more than before.

Better set table for dinner

I'm glad your daughter is ok now Fiona.I really do not like going to the dentist and those injections.I can't imagine what it must be like for people like your daughter and my niece.
My niece is off to Dubai tomorrow to visit a friend for a few days.My sister will have Finn and Amelia until Friday when there Daddy will take over!!.I think Rachel (niece) will be fretting over leaving the children though. She has never left them before.

Hi Mags.

Hi Anne glad you have had nice weather to get your washing dry. It has been dry here all day but we have had that very cold wind again.

Just going to dish up, Chciken crown stuffed with wild mushrooms and bacon, cheesy jacket and salad from Wait*ose.

Mags which senior schools do your children go to ?Mine went to Bishop Stopford.Don't put the name of schools on here though.PM me if you like.
I remember often the day the children going back to school after the holidays, and seeing them off. Then collapsing in the chair with a nice cup of tea and watching a bit of Breakfast TV lol.thinking Aaah Bliss lol.
You have a big gap like my sister did with her children.I think she has about a 9 year gap between her youngest and the next one.
