Fiona, My grandfather emigrated to Canada. He was deaf and got run over by a train, on his way home from work.
All alone, DIL has taken Ros to see the "KINGS SPEACH". Harvey came and bought usa new (2nd hand dishwasher. fitted it all in and put the other one in the Garage (HOW I DON'T KNOW) that can go on Ebay. He took Lewis home with him BOO HOO. He wanted to stay with his pappy and nanny.
Wednesday night, he had a nightmare, and came into our bed. I ended up with about 6" of bed Ros likewise. He thashed around all night. We got up about 8am. and he sleept till 10.30. Little B
Great news for Hannah, I know she will be thouands out of pocket, but at least she can get on with her life without that millstone round her neck (and yours and Chris's)
Misserable evening here, rain and more rain,
see you later.

Evening All,
Good advice from Chris Jane.......but we all do it! It must have been a bit of a shock. I think my first reaction would have been to get a bit tearful too. Best to try not to worry now, hopefully your appointment will be through soon. It sounds very, very promising on Hannah's house.......may all be done and dusted soon and a weight off everyone!
Hope things are ok now Lewis has gone Frank and that things have calmed down. He must love coming to stay if he didn't want to go!!
We went up to the Derbyshire Dales today to see those Snowdrops at last!! lol It was dull, with just a short spell of sun, but the Snowdrops were lovely as was the walk through the walled garden and around the lake. There was a lovely black lab puppy in the bushes near the lake......trying his hardest to be brave and get in while ignoring his owner calling him!!!! lol We called in one of the Cherry Tree Farm chain places to eat on the way back. We went in one at Haydock about 3 years ago and I recognised it was one as soon as I saw the cakes in the chill cabinet.....over a foot high they are!! No I didn't have one......just had roast red pepper risotto with salad and garlic bread.
Thanks for the e-mails everyone.....very good.

Fiona ,I can't remember much about Saskatoon. But it is a city so quite a big place.I stayed there for a few days with some family(I think some 3rd/4th cousins) ,before going to stay with others way out in the middle of nowhere lol Right in the Prairies. It was as flat as a pancake. You could see for blooming miles.I wouldn't choose to go back there again .Now British Colombia is a different matter.I would love to live there. Shirl lives right across the other side I think.I have never been that side of Canada

Friend called round this morning to return some tools he borrowed. He brought round one of his horses that has a sprain on her leg, so he could give her a little light excercise. she is a beautiful dark bay thorougherbred (sp?).
It is good that you are feeling a lot better Mandy and it sounds like you have your appitite back.
The sun has came out about an hour ago but still that biting wind. Must put the washing on the line and hope it dos'nt go in!!
Soup was great and OH had two HUGE mugs full and I had two small bowls full.

Afternoon all you tadpoles,
Rain all night and this morning. Just stopped and sun trying to get out. Thank goodness.
Neighbour asked me to put some frogs in my pond yesterday, They were having "PIGGY BACKS" put them on the side of the pond, and in they went, both swimming to get into the reeds.!! Lewis have a good laugh.
I have had a chat with our Shirl this afternoon, She's waiting for a meter to be changed, sometime today is all they have said. typical of these companies. She still having snow, It was snowing while we were talking.. She laughed when I told her about the frogs. and said "When the tadpoles come say to lewis "that what happens when you give "PIGGY BACK RIDES"
How were things at Market Harborough Jane, all OK I hope.
Home alone again, our friend has just returned from Florida after seven weeks. Her pipe in the loft has been leaking while they were away. all the carpets are sodden and the loft insulation wringing wet. Her washing machine is Bugger##.So we have done her washing, and her and Ros have gone washing machine shopping, and more I suppose. Don't know when she will be home.
Mandy I hope you are on the mend now. A good push and shove round Tesc# must have done you the world of good lol lol.
I trust Ian is still improving LIZ, and that all you old folk are keeping well.!!!!!

Afternoon All,
The rain in the night has brought down a load more leaves off the Cordylines on the front......the borders covered in them. OH may be right about one of them needing the axe before long. There are enough leaves to weave some baskets from! lol It is dry here now but quite dull.
Good to see you were well enough to pop out for a few things Mandy. Tiring at first though when you have been laid low like that. Hope you got your feet up when you got back and a nice cuppa.
I bet it was lovely seeing your friend's thoroughbred, Mel. Dark bay is a lovely colour. Do you get any hankerings to have a horse again.....I miss it sometimes, but not all the work involved. I just love the calming effect horses have.
Fiona, OH got through loads of shirts when he worked too. If they had evening meetings it was 2 a day at times. Now mine has retired there are far less......something to look forward too. lol
Short sleeves Jane? I't is quite chilly here. lol I bet Hannah is finding it hard not to get excited at the prospect of 'goodbye house'. I bet you all can hardly beleive it is happening. I wonder if David has found another place yet?
I wonder how much snow our Shirl got?
